  3. Lil Baby Lands Third No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With ‘It’s Only Me’ Plus: Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975 and Bailey Zimmerman debut in the top 10. Lil Baby lands his third No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Oct. 29) as It’s Only Me debuts atop the tally. The set earned 216,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 20, according to Luminate. It also claims the third-largest streaming week for an album in 2022. Lil Baby previously topped the list with The Voice of the Heroes (a collaborative set with Lil Durk in 2021) and My Turn (2020). The latter finished 2020 as Luminate’s most popular album of that year. It’s Only Me was announced in early September and marks the rapper’s sixth top 10, all consecutive, on the Billboard 200. Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ second album of 2022, Return of the Dream Canteen, enters at No. 3; The 1975’s Being Funny in a Foreign Language starts at No. 7 and Bailey Zimmerman’s debut effort Leave the Light On bows at No. 9. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Oct. 29, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Oct. 25. 6. Internationally: Stats: Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy” achieves a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, with 85 million streams (up 4%) and 26,000 downloads sold worldwide (up 44%) in the Oct. 14-20 tracking week, its gains sparked by 69-cent sale-pricing, as well as the release of live and instrumental versions and Disclosure and Acraze remixes. Plus, it was announced Oct. 17 that the song will appear on Smith’s forthcoming fourth LP, Gloria, due Jan. 27. Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy” adds a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 61.7 million streams (up 4%) and 7,000 downloads sold (up 14%) worldwide in territories outside the U.S. in the Oct. 14-20 tracking week. Notably, songs by acts all from outside the U.S. have topped the Global 200 for 35 consecutive weeks, spanning seven titles (and five countries), both record streaks since the chart began. Here’s a recap: “Heat Waves,” Glass Animals (UK), six weeks at No. 1, beginning March 5 “As It Was,” Harry Styles (UK), 15, April 16 “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God),” Kate Bush (UK), three, June 18 “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52,” Bizarrap (Argentina) & Quevedo (Spain), four, July 30 “Pink Venom,” BLACKPINK (South Korea), two, Sept. 3 “Shut Down,” BLACKPINK (South Korea), one, Oct. 1 “Unholy,” Sam Smith (UK) & Kim Petras (Germany), four to-date, Oct. 8 Similar to the Global 200, songs by acts from outside the U.S. have dominated the Global Excl. U.S. chart for 33 weeks in a row, covering nine titles (and six countries), likewise record streaks: “Heat Waves,” Glass Animals (U.K.), three weeks at No. 1, beginning March 19 “Envolver,” Anitta (Brazil), one, April 9 “As It Was,” Harry Styles (U.K.), 13, April 16 “Yet To Come,” BTS (South Korea), one, June 25 “Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God),” Kate Bush (U.K.), one, July 16 “Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 52,” Bizarrap (Argentina) & Quevedo (Spain), six, July 30 “Pink Venom,” BLACKPINK (South Korea), three, Sept. 3 “Shut Down,” BLACKPINK (South Korea), one, Oct. 1 “Unholy,” Sam Smith (UK) & Kim Petras (Germany), four to-date, Oct. 8 Elsewhere in the Global 200’s top 10, Rema and Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down” reaches the region (11-7), led by 45.4 million streams (up 2%) worldwide. Nigeria native Rema dropped the original, solo version of the song in February as the second single from his debut LP, Rave & Roses. Its remix with Gomez arrived Aug. 26, and that version’s official video premiered Sept. 7. Kenshi Yonezu’s “Kick Back” surges 26-4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 23.3 million streams and 32,000 sold in its first full week of tracking. The Japanese artist lands his first top 10 on the chart (after reaching a prior No. 16 best with “M87” in May) with the opener for the new anime series Chainsaw Man. As previously reported, the track launched atop the latest Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart. Rounding out the Global Excl. U.S. top 10, Tom Odell’s “Another Love” rises 11-10. The song by the English singer-songwriter enters the top 10 in its 81st week on the chart, as it wraps the longest climb to the tier, far surpassing the 35-week wait for Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves” in 2021. Going back even further, “Another Love” was originally released 10 years ago this month, on Odell’s debut EP Songs From Another Love, with its profile having swelled to new heights thanks to its presence on TikTok. The song initially hit No. 10 on the Official UK Singles chart in 2013 and ranks at No. 13 in its latest week on the list. “Another Love,” Odell’s first Global Excl. U.S. entry, gained by 1% to 30 million streams and 5% to 2,000 sold outside the U.S. Oct. 14-20. Selena Gomez quietly having a global top 10 smash in 2022 Kick Back & Another Love killing it internationally

  8. Stray Kids Notch Second No. 1 on Billboard 200 With ‘Maxident’ Plus: New albums from Takeoff & Quavo, G Herbo and Charlie Puth debut in top 10. Stray Kids ring up their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 — and second of 2022 — as MAXIDENT debuts atop the list (dated Oct. 22). The eight track set bows with 117,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 13, according to Luminate. The South Korean group notched its first chart-topper on the April 2 list, with its first charting effort, ODDINARY. Both ODDINARY and MAXIDENT were released via JYP/Imperial/Republic Records. Maxident is the fourth album by a South Korean act to lead the Billboard 200 in 2022, following BLACKPINK’s Born Pink, BTS’ Proof and ODDINARY. In 2021, there were zero No. 1s by a South Korean act, and in 2020 there were two (BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 and BE). Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, Takeoff and Quavo’s collaborative album, Only Built for Infinity Links, debuts at No. 7, G Herbo’s Survivor’s Remorse: Side A bows at No. 9, and Charlie Puth’s Charlie debuts at No. 10. Steve Lacy‘s “Bad Habit” notches a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, two weeks after it ascended to the summit. Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen achieves his first top five Hot 100 hit as “You Proof” rises from No. 7 to No. 5 and Doja Cat reaches the top 10 with “Vegas” (11-10). The latter samples Big Mama Thornton’s 1953 classic “Hound Dog,” which Elvis Presley famously covered in 1956, marking the latest chart success for the iconic song. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Oct. 22, 2022) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Oct. 18). 14. Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ Ties for Most Weeks at No. 1 in Last 10 Years on Billboard 200 Plus: Slipknot, Tyler Childers and Tory Lanez debut in top 10. Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti clocks a 13th nonconsecutive week atop the Billboard 200 chart (dated Oct. 15), tying Drake’s Views and the Frozen soundtrack for the most weeks at No. 1 on the chart in the last 10 years. Views logged 13 nonconsecutive weeks atop the list in 2016 (May 21-Oct. 8 charts) and Frozen chilled for 13 nonconsecutive frames in 2014 (Jan. 18-May 17). The last album with more weeks at No. 1 was Adele’s 21, with 24 nonconsecutive weeks on top in 2011-12 (March 12, 2011-June 23, 2012). In the latest tracking week, ending Oct. 6, Un Verano Sin Ti earned 84,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. (down 4%), according to Luminate. Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, Slipknot’s The End, So Far debuts at No. 2, while Tyler Childers’ Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven and Tory Lanez’s Sorry 4 What bow at Nos. 8 and 10, respectively. 15, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Oct. 4. 15. YTD VIDEO STREAMS: COMPARE/CONTRAST We found a few surprises when looking at YTD video streams vs. their audio counterparts. “INDUSTRY BABY” (Columbia) from Lil Nas X & Jack Harlow is the most-streamed video thus far in 2022. The song—from 2021’s MONTERO—has been viewed 429m times in the U.S., while it currently ranks 12th on the year in audio streams with 274m plays. In the runner-up spot for video is Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend” (Parlophone) with nearly 380m views, but it’s just #196 in audio-only streams with 53m. Do Coldplay fans prefer looking at Chris Martin? Witt Lowry’s self-released “Into Your Arms” f/Ava Max, Duncan Laurence’s “Arcade” (Capitol) and Måneskin’s “Beggin’” (Arista) are in the YTD video Top 10. The three tracks are ranked between #180-200 in audio streams. Looking at Harry Styles’ “As It Was” (Columbia) in reverse, the song has collected half a billion audio streams since its release, a stark contrast to the video’s #22 ranking. https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=333280&title=YTD-VIDEO-STREAMS%3A-COMPARE-CONTRAST This definitely includes fan uploaded videos / user generated content. 23. BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart It's both the first chart-topper for the K-pop quartet and by an all-female group in over a decade. BLACKPINK lands its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Oct. 1) as its second full- length studio album, Born Pink, starts atop the list with 102,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Sept. 22, according to Luminate. The eight-song set is the first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 by an all-female group since 2008. Born Pink is the second top 10 for the South Korean quartet, which previously debuted and peaked at No. 2 in October 2020 with its full-length debut, The Album. In addition, Born Pink is the third album by a South Korean act to top the Billboard 200 in 2022, following BTS’ Proof and Stray Kids’ Stray Kids Mini Album: Oddinary. (Unlike those two albums, which are mostly in the Korean language, Born Pink is mostly in English — though with a fair amount of Korean lyrics.) The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. 1, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Sept. 27. Harry Styles‘ “As It Was” logs a 15th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. Only three songs have led longer over the survey’s 64-year history, while “As It Was” claims outright the longest reign for a song by a British artist, as well as by an act with no accompanying artists. Styles also sports the rare achievement of holding the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 while starring in the top movie at the box office, as Don’t Worry Darling premiered as the weekend’s top film domestically. Meanwhile, Luke Combs adds his second Hot 100 top 10, as the country star’s “The Kind of Love We Make” jumps from No. 14 to No. 8. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Oct. 1, 2022) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Sept. 27).
