  1. Drake & 21 Savage’s ‘Her Loss’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart Drake now has a dozen No. 1 albums, while 21 Savage scores his third leader. Drake and 21 Savage’s collaborative album, Her Loss, debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Nov. 19) with the year’s biggest week for an R&B/hip-hop set and the fourth-largest streaming week ever for any album. Her Loss launches with 404,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Nov. 10, according to Luminate. Streaming activity drove the bulk of that sum, to the tune of 513.56 million on-demand official streams of its 16 tracks. Her Loss is the 12th No. 1 for Drake and the third leader for 21 Savage. Drake now solely has the third-most No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart, since the list began publishing on a regular weekly basis in March of 1956. Ahead of him are only The Beatles, with a record 19 No. 1s and Jay-Z with 14. Drake was previously tied with Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand and Taylor Swift, each with 11 No. 1s on the Billboard 200. Her Loss was announced on Oct. 22 and then-slated for an Oct. 28 release. On Oct. 26, its release was postponed to Nov. 4. The set was released via streaming services and as an album download via digital retailers. A physical release for the set on CD or any other format has not been announced. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Nov. 19, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Tuesday (Nov. 15). Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero’ Holds Atop Hot 100, Drake Debuts 8 Songs in Top 10 Of the rapper's new top 10s, 7 are with 21 Savage, with all 8 from the pair's new Billboard 200-topping album Her Loss. Taylor Swift‘s “Anti-Hero” adds a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, boosted by seven new remixes released between Nov. 7 and Nov. 10. Two weeks ago, the song soared in at the Hot 100’s summit, as Swift made history as the first artist to hold the survey’s entire top 10 in a single frame. Meanwhile, Drake blasts in with eight debuts in the Hot 100’s top 10, including seven with 21 Savage, as the pair’s collaborative LP Her Loss launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. With Drake having claimed nine of the Hot 100’s top 10 spots on the chart for a week in September 2021 (concurrent with the chart start of his album Certified Lover Boy), he is now the only artist to have logged at least eight songs in the top 10 twice. Plus, Drake extends his record total to 67 career Hot 100 top 10s. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. 2. Meghan slaying so hard, this is going to be so big in 2023 when the Christmas rush is over. Speaking of Christmas, Mariah already #8 with All I Want For Christmas Is You
  3. Official Charts 70th Anniversary: The Official Top 10 best-selling singles from the 2000s Disclaimer: This is a list of the best-selling singles released from 2000-2009, compiled from Official Charts Company data representing pure, physical sales from 2000 - 2022. 10. Poker Face Artist: Lady Gaga Released: 2009 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.20 million If Just Dance was the effervescent start to the party, then sister single Poker Face was the soundtrack to the after-party that continued well into the night. Sexy, sensual and charged by a ferocious, precocious energy, the Eurodance anthem celebrates Lady Gaga's sexuality, and marked her true emergence as an enigmatic new idol for pop fans to obsess over. 9. Can't Get You Out Of My Head Artist: Kylie Minogue Released: 2001 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.21 million The story of how Can't Get You Out Of My Head made its way to Kylie is almost as interesting as the song itself; written originally for S Club 7 and rejected by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the song made its way to Kylie as she was on a massive come-up following her successful pivot back into commercial pop with 2000's Light Years. Hypnotic, engrossing and still sounding just a little bit like the future, this bold mid-career swing would prove once and for all that no-one embodies the image of a pop star quite like Kylie when she's firing on all cylinders. 8. Chasing Cars Artist: Snow Patrol Released: 2006 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 6 Total UK sales: 1.21 million Chasing Cars holds the distinction of being the lowest-peaking song of any across our decades best-sellers lists, managing a peak of Number 6 on the Official Singles Chart. It may have never climbed higher, but it became the defining hit of Snow Patrol's career, and even just hearing a snippet of the track now is guarenteed to take you back to the mid-00s. 7. Hallelujah Artist: Alexandra Burke Released: 2008 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.33 million Given how deftly engaging Alexandra Burke was as a pop star during her time on the X Factor - perhaps the only contestant to ever master the art of singing and dancing at the same time quite so well - it's still surprising that this morose cover of a Leonard Cohen classic (covered famously by Jeff Buckley) was her winner's single. But Alexandra had her moment, and she took it. Her take on Hallelujah feels rich in meaning and emotion; almost like a hymn. Debuting at Number 1 in the UK, it would give Alex the best possible start to her career, and she would make good on her pop star promise with sterling solo single proper Bad Boys the next year. 6. Unchained Melody Artist: Gareth Gates Released: 2002 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.35 million Eagle-eyed viewers will notice this is the second appearence by Unchained Melody here - given it was also a best-selling hit of the 90s by duo Robson & Jerome. Here it was re-twizzled for Pop Idol winner up Gareth Gates, where it would have been his winner's single. He may not have scooped the crown, but he did release Unchained Melody as his debut single - it would be the first of four UK chart-toppers for the hair gel afficionado. 5. (Is This The Way To) Amarillo Artist: Tony Christie feat. Peter Kay Released: 2005 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.37 million The UK really, truly loves a charity single. For Children In Need 2005 comedian Peter Kay joined forces with crooner Tony Christie for a re-record of his most famous single. (Is This The Way To) Amarillo came complete with a star-studded music video, and the song even managed to out-peak its original 1971 result of Number 18 and becoming Christie's first UK chart-topper, at the age of 61. 4. Sex on Fire Artist: Kings of Leon Released: 2008 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.41 million Nashville rockband Kings of Leon seemed to explode out of nowhere in the late 00s with two singles that seemed to be everywhere; Sex on Fire and Use Somebody. Written about the band frontman Caleb's girlfriend (and now wife), model Lily Aldridge, alternate titles for the stadium rock classic included Set Us On Fire and...uh...Socks On Fire. Nice. 3. It Wasn't Me Artist: Shaggy feat. RikRok Released: 2001 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.45 million Although the set-up of It Wasn't Me may be morally dubious (with Shaggy acting as advisor on telling his friend how to deny that he cheated on his girlfriend, which he definitely did), although the song does admit that Shaggy's plea to deny, deny, deny makes no sense at all. Apparently It Wasn't Me was never originally intended to be released as a single, but its success speaks for itself - becoming the third of Shaggy's four (!) UK Number 1 singles. 2. I Gotta Feeling Artist: Black Eyed Peas Released: 2009 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.50 million Black Eyed Peas had been around for a while by 2009, but their output around this time with seminal album The E.N.D turned them from a pop adjacent hip-hop quarter to a full-blown supergroup. With lead single Boom Boom Pow given a harder edge, it was the David Guetta-produced I Gotta Feeling that gave the Pea's the defining hit of their career, and what quickly became a soundtrack to every night out, whether you liked it or not. 1. Anything Is Possible/Evergreen Artist: Will Young Released: 2002 Official Singles Chart peak: Number 1 Total UK sales: 1.80 million It's hard to overstate the change that occurred at the start of the 21st century with the arrival of talent shows like Popstars and Pop Idol. While Popstars' big success, Hear'say, had fractured quite quickly despite massive success, British reality TV found its first true superstar in Pop Idol's inaugural winner, Will Young. A double A-side comprised of original cut Anything Is Possible and Will's winners single Evergreen (a cover of a Westlife album track) shot straight in at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, staying a the top for three consecutive weeks. It was the biggest-selling single of the 21st century, until it was overtaken by Pharrell's Happy in 2015.

  5. Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Also in the top 10: Reissues spur returns for The Beatles' Revolver and Baby Keem's The Melodic Blue, while Kodak Black's latest debuts. Taylor Swift’s Midnights easily tops the Billboard 200 chart (dated Nov. 12) for a second week, following its blockbuster debut at No. 1 a week earlier. The set earned 342,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Nov. 3 (down 78%). A week ago, the album barged in at No. 1 with 1.578 million units, the largest weekly total since Adele’s 25 debuted with 3.482 million units (Dec. 12, 2015 chart). Midnights has the largest second-week total for any album since Adele’s 25 tallied 1.162 million units in is second frame (Dec. 19, 2015, chart). Plus, Midnights’ second-week sum is the third-largest overall week of the year for any album. In 2022, the three largest weeks are Midnights’ debut (1.578 million), the debut of Harry Styles’ Harry’s House (521,000) and Midnights’ second week (342,000). One more note about the size of Midnights’ second-week – it’s so big, it’s larger than the total units earned by the Nos. 2-7 albums on the latest chart combined. A week ago, Midnights’ first week was larger than the Nos. 2-88 albums’ totals combined. Meanwhile, Rihanna roars onto the Hot 100 at No. 2 with “Lift Me Up.” The song is her 32nd top 10 and first since 2017. 6. Swift’s “Anti-Hero” posts a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, with 92.5 million streams (down 35%) and 21,000 downloads sold worldwide (up 1%) in the Oct. 28-Nov. 3 tracking week. A week earlier, Swift became the first artist to monopolize the entire Global 200 top five in a single frame and tallied a weekly-record nine of the top 10. This week, she claims six of the top 10 spots, as, below “Anti-Hero,” “Lavender Haze” dips from No. 2 to No. 5, followed by “Midnight Rain” (5-6), “Snow on the Beach,” featuring Lana Del Rey (3-7), “Maroon” (4-8) and “Bejeweled” (8-9). All six songs are from Swift’s new LP Midnights, which adds a second week at No. 1 on the U.S.-based Billboard 200 albums chart. Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” soars in at No. 3 on the Global 200 with 77.1 million streams and 39,000 sold worldwide in its first week, following its Oct. 28 release. 11. Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’ Blasts in at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart With Biggest Week for an Album in 7 Years Plus: Arctic Monkeys, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Jeezy & DJ Drama debut in top 10. Taylor Swift achieves her 11th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Nov. 5) as Midnights arrives with the biggest week for any album in nearly seven years. The set launches with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Oct. 27, according to Luminate. The last album to tally a larger week was the debut frame of Adele’s 25, when it bowed with 3.482 million units (Dec. 12, 2015-dated chart). Midnights was released on Oct. 21 after being announced two months earlier by Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards (Aug. 28). No music from the album was released until the set dropped on Oct. 21, when she also issued the music video for Midnights’ first single, “Anti-Hero.” Midnights is Swift’s 10th full-length studio album and initially bowed as a 13-track standard release. Three hours after Midnights’ arrival, Swift released a deluxe version of the album (its “3am Edition”) with seven bonus tracks. Swift now ties Barbra Streisand for the most No. 1 albums among women. Swift is also the sixth act with more than 10 No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 since the chart began regularly publishing on a weekly basis in 1956. She joins The Beatles (who lead with a record 19 No. 1s), Jay-Z (14), Drake, Bruce Springsteen and Streisand (each with 11). Midnights is already the year’s top-selling album by overall sales through the year, and tallies the largest sales week for an album since her own reputation debuted in 2017, the third-largest streaming week ever for an album, and the biggest sales week for a vinyl album in the modern era (since Luminate began tracking music sales in 1991). Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200: albums from Arctic Monkeys, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Jeezy and DJ Drama debut. 5, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Tuesday (Nov. 1). Taylor Swift scores one of the most historic weeks in the 64-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, as she becomes the first artist to claim the survey’s entire top 10 in a single frame. Swift surpasses Drake, who logged nine of the Hot 100’s top 10 for a week in September 2021. Leading the way for Swift on the Hot 100, “Anti-Hero” launches at No. 1, marking her ninth career leader. All 10 songs in the Hot 100’s top tier are from Swift’s new LP Midnights, which, released Oct. 21 on Republic Records, blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with the biggest week for any release in seven years. Swift also surges past Drake and The Beatles for the most titles from the top of the Hot 100 in a single week, as her monopoly of the top 10 bests those acts, each of whom infused the top five for a week each in 2021 and 1964, respectively. Meanwhile, as Swift adds 10 new Hot 100 top 10s, she now boasts the most top 10s among women in the chart’s history, with 40 (surpassing Madonna’s 38). Among all acts, she trails only Drake (59 top 10s). Plus, Midnights becomes the first album ever with as many as 10 Hot 100 top 10s, besting the nine from Drake’s Certified Lover Boy in 2021. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Nov. 5, 2022) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Nov. 1). She also passes Madonna for the most top 10 hits among women (40). Midnights opens as Swift’s 11th No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, as it soars in with 1.578 million equivalent album units earned in the Oct. 21-27 tracking week, according to Luminate. The set sports the largest one-week total since the debut week of Adele’s 25 (3.482 million) on the chart dated Dec. 12, 2015. 23. Rihanna’s official Top 40 biggest songs ever 26 October 2022 | By Carl Smith Look, we totally get that Rihanna's busy with her baby boy, business ventures and that upcoming baseball game, but we're absolutely gagging for some new music. Well now, with RiRi announcing her NFL Super Bowl halftime show slot and rumours swirling of a Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack song or two, it seems we might be in luck. As we keep everything crossed for our first, proper Rihanna music since 2016 album ANTI, we thought it was about time we gave you an update on her Official Top 40 biggest songs in the UK so far. From 2005 debut Pon De Replay to collaborations with the likes of Eminem, Calvin Harris, David Guetta and actual Paul McCartney, it's a discography that cements RiRi as one of the 21st century's most influential artists. Before we get to the full list, let's delve into the Top 5, shall we? 5. Diamonds Released: 2012 Official Singles Chart peak: 1 Total UK chart units: 1.94 million The first track lifted from her 2012 LP Unapologetic, Sia-penned single Diamonds has shifted total UK chart units of 1.94 million to date; including 1.1 million downloads and 103 million streams. 4. Work (Rihanna featuring Drake) Released: 2016 Official Singles Chart peak: 2 Total UK chart units: 1.95 million The lead single from her eighth studio album ANTI, Drake duet Work comes in at Number 4 on RiRi's all-time list. The track, which peaked at Number 2 on the Official Singles Chart behind Lukas Graham's 7 Years, boasts total UK streams of 178 million and counting. 3. This Is What You Came For (Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna) Released: 2016 Official Singles Chart peak: 2 Total UK chart units: 2.2 million Rihanna's feature on 2016 Calvin Harris track This Is What You Came For (famously including a writing credit from Taylor Swift - initially under the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg), is her third-biggest track in the UK so far. It's also worth nothing that the collab is Rihanna's most-streamed song to date. Since its release, the song's accumulated a total of 200 million streams across audio and video platforms. 2. We Found Love (Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris) Released: 2011 Official Singles Chart peak: 1 Total UK chart units: 2.4 million RiRi's second Calvin team-up to make her all-time Top 5, lead Talk That Talk single We Found Love slips one place on this place since our last update. A true product of the early 2010s, though, We Found Love remains Rihanna's most-downloaded single. The track boasts a total of 1.4 million downloads in the UK to date. 1. Love The Way You Lie (Eminem featuring Rihanna) Released: 2010 Official Singles Chart peak: 2 Total UK chart units: 2.6 million Reigning atop the list of Rihanna's Official biggest songs in the UK is Eminem feature Love The Way You Lie.
