  2. Internationally: Stats: Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” logs an 11th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200. It ties The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s “Stay” (2021) for the third-longest command since the Global 200 began, after only Harry Styles’ “As It Was” (15 weeks, 2022) and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” (13 weeks, 2020-23). Jisoo’s “Flower” sprouts at No. 2 on the Global 200 with 108.7 million streams and 21,000 sold worldwide in its first week, ending April 6, following its March 31 release. Jisoo’s “Flower” debuts at No. 2 on Global Excl. U.S. with 103.3 million streams and 16,000 sold outside the U.S. March 31-April 6. Jisoo becomes the third member of star South Korean pop quartet BLACKPINK to have hit the Global 200’s top 10 solo. Here’s a recap of their solo top 10 hits: Rosé, “On the Ground,” No. 1 (one week), March 27, 2021 Lisa, “Lalisa,” No. 2, Sept. 25, 2021 Jisoo, “Flower,” No. 2, April 15, 2023 As a group, BLACKPINK boasts four Global 200 top 10s, including two No. 1s: “Pink Venom” (for two weeks last September) and “Shut Down” (one week, last October). (The foursome’s Jennie has yet to hit the Global 200. Still, the first member of the group to release solo music, she topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart with “Solo” in December 2018, before the global surveys began.) Also notably, “Flower” makes the third-biggest streaming start for an artist’s proper debut focus track since the global charts originated. Its 108.7 million first-week streams worldwide trail only the opening frames of Lisa’s “Lalisa” (152.6 million, Sept. 25, 2021) and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” (130.1 million, Jan. 23, 2021). Also in the Global 200’s top 10, Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s “Ella Baila Sola” ascends 11-9, with 63.9 million streams (up 23%) and 1,000 sold (up 24%) worldwide. Elsewhere in the Global Excl. U.S. top 10, Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s “Ella Baila Sola” jumps 12-8, led by 46.3 million streams (up 24%). Eslabon Armado earns its first top 10 on the tally, while Peso Pluma banks his second; “La Bebe,” with Yng Lvcas, ranks at No. 7, a week after reaching the tier with a 20-6 vault. As you see, Miley holding off a BLACKPINK solo member is HUGE. A Flower sized top 2
  3. Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’ Spends a Month at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Plus: Jimin, Lana Del Rey, Luke Combs and Fall Out Boy debut in top 10. Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time logs a fourth straight and total week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated April 8). The title earned 197,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending March 30 (down 6%), according to Luminate. One Thing at a Time debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated March 18 and has held the top spot ever since. Across Wallen’s two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 — One Thing at a Time and Dangerous: The Double Album — he has now spent a total of 14 weeks atop the chart. That ties Bad Bunny for the second-most weeks at No. 1 this decade, trailing only Taylor Swift’s 20 weeks (across five No. 1s). Bad Bunny’s 14 total weeks at No. 1 has come from two chart-toppers: Un Verano Sin Ti (13 weeks) and El Ultimo Tour del Mundo (one week). The last album by a male act to spend its first four weeks at No. 1 was Wallen’s own Dangerous, which spent 10 weeks in total atop the chart — all from its debut week (Jan. 23-March 27, 2021). Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200 chart, BTS’ Jimin bows at No. 2 with his debut solo album, FACE; Lana Del Rey notches her ninth top 10 with the No. 3 arrival of Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd; Luke Combs claims his fifth top 10 set with the No. 4 debut of Gettin’ Old; and Fall Out Boy achieves its seventh top 10 effort with the No. 6 launch of So Much (for) Stardust. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. He’s also the first South Korean solo artist to lead the list. The Hot 100 start for “Like Crazy” was largely driven by sales, with five versions available during the chart’s tracking week. The song was released March 24 on Jimin’s debut solo set FACE, which enters at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. 5. More British artists than ever found streaming success in 2022 - 200 artists achieved over 200 million global streams A new report from the BPI revealed record success for UK acts at home and abroad. By George Griffiths More British artists than ever are taking advantage of the worldwide streaming boom, a new report from the BPI suggests, with 200 UK acts achieving over 200 million global streams in 2022. The new report, drawing on Official Charts Company data from the UK, as well as global streaming data from Luminate, reveals the Top 20 biggest streaming stars from the UK last year. The UK's biggest musical exports have made a big impact abroad, with Ed Sheeran topping the list and big hitters like Harry Styles and Dua Lipa also featuring - but it was also great news this year for acts who have not had their time to shine on the UK charts. This includes North Yorkshire rock band Asking Alexandria, who have yet to secure a Top 10 album in the UK but have achieved success Stateside with a trilogy of Top 10's on the Billboard 200 albums chart, while British-American singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs also claimed 200 million global streams last year, achieving a Top 3 US Alternative Rock single with River. “Streaming has changed the face of music – enabling artists to connect with fans at home and around the world in ways never possible before, and with consumers also able to enjoy unprecedented choice and affordability" Sophie Jones, BPI Chief Strategy Officer and Interim Chief Executive comments, "it is heartening to see this new research showing so many artists achieving such huge success in streaming, encompassing many less well-known names as well as global superstars. "With record labels delivering improvements in areas such as transparency and deal terms, as the market continues to adapt and evolve, their biggest contribution remains essential investment to develop and support artists." Harry Styles' blockbuster single As It Was netted 180.9 million streams overall in the UK. It topped the Official Singles Chart for a total of 10 weeks and was named the biggest song of 2022 in the UK, with its parent album Harry's House also being named the year's biggest LP. Harry's success translated into this year's BRITs ceremony too, where he was the night's big winner - taking home four awards in total, as well as the three biggest gongs of the night, Album of the Year for Harry's House, Best British Artist and British Song of the Year for As It Was. See the Top 20 most-streamed British artists of the year below. The Top 10 - which includes Dua Lipa, D-Block Europe and Central Cee - all reached nearly 400 million streams each. Here’s a recap of BTS members’ Global 200 top 10s apart from the group (with BTS having logged 10 top 10s on the chart): “Like Crazy,” Jimin, No. 2 (to date), April 2023 “Set Me Free, Pt. 2,” Jimin, No. 8, April 2023 “Dreamers (Music From the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022),” Jung Kook, No. 9, December 2022 “The Astronaut,” Jin, No. 10, November 2022 “Left and Right,” Charlie Puth feat. The song was released by Yng Lvcas independently in December 2021; its remix with Peso Pluma arrived March 17 on Warner Latina. (All versions of the song are combined into a singular listing on Billboard’s charts.) Both artists, from Mexico, rank in the top 10 for the first time. Yng Lvcas and Peso Pluma’s “La Bebe” blasts 20-6 on Global Excl. U.S., led by 47.5 million streams (up 87%) outside the U.S. The acts make their initial appearances each in the top 10. Also in the Global 200’s top 10, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s “Beso” debuts at No. 10, with 50 million streams and 3,000 sold globally in its first frame. Rosalía, from Spain, and Alejandro, from Puerto Rico, add their third top 10 apiece on the chart. Plus, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s “Beso” debuts at No. 7 on Global Excl. U.S., with 41.1 million streams and 1,000 sold outside the U.S. in its first week. Alejandro earns his fifth top 10 on the chart and Rosalía posts her fourth. 10. Morgan Wallen’s ‘One Thing at a Time’ Notches Third Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Plus: U2 collects its 13th top 10-charting album with "Songs of Surrender." Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time notches a third straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated April 1). The set earned 209,500 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending March 23 (down 19%), according to Luminate. It debuted at No. 1 with 501,000 units, then tallied 259,000 in its second frame. In the last 12 months, only two albums have exceeded 200,000 units in each of their first three weeks: One Thing at a Time and Taylor Swift’s Midnights (which surpassed 200,000 in each of its first four weeks). The last album by a male act to spend its first three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 was Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, which also spent its first three frames atop the list (Sept. 18-Oct. 2, 2021-dated charts). Further, in the last 10 years, only two country albums have clocked at least three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and both are by Wallen: One Thing at a Time, his last album, Dangerous: The Double Album (10 weeks at No. 1 in 2021). (Country albums are considered those that have hit or are eligible for Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.) Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200 chart, U2 collects its 13th top 10-charting effort, as Songs of Surrender debuts at No. 5. The retrospective sees U2 revisiting its own catalog, re-recording and re-interpreting familiar hit songs from the band’s career. Among the tracks including on the project: “Where the Streets Have No Name,” “One,” “Pride (In the Name of Love)” and “I Will Follow.” Plus, U2 becomes only the fourth group with a newly-charting top 10 title on the Billboard 200 albums chart in the 1980s, ‘90s, 2000s, ‘10s and now the ‘20s. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new April 1, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on March 28. 12. Internationally: Stats: Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” adds a ninth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, with 98.8 million streams (down 6%) and 25,000 sold (down 22%) worldwide in the March 17-23 tracking week. As on the Global 200, Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” tallies a ninth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 77.4 million streams (down 3%) and 13,000 sold (down 18%) outside the U.S. March 17-23. Jimin’s “Set Me Free, Pt. 2” blasts onto the Global 200 at No. 8, with 56 million streams and 42,000 sold worldwide in its first week, following its March 17 release. Jimin becomes the fourth member of BTS – joining Jung Kook (two top 10s), Jin and SUGA – to have hit the Global 200’s top 10 solo. Here’s a recap of their top 10s apart from BTS (with the group having logged 10 top 10s on the chart): “Set Me Free, Pt. 2,” Jimin, No. 8 (to-date), April 2023 “Dreamers (Music From the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022),” Jung Kook, No. 9, December 2022 “The Astronaut,” Jin, No. 10, November 2022 “Left and Right,” Charlie Puth feat. Jung Kook, No. 5, July 2022 “That That,” PSY feat. SUGA, No. 5, May 2022 Jimin previously hit the Global 200 outside BTS with two top 20 entries: as featured on TAEYANG’s “Vibe” (No. 12, this January) and with “With You,” with HA SUNG WOON (No. 19, May 2022). Also in the Global 200’s top 10, Taylor Swift’s “All of the Girls You Loved Before” soars in at No. 10, with 34.2 million streams and 22,000 sold worldwide in its first frame, following its March 17 premiere as one of four songs that she released that day, timed to the kickoff that night of her The Eras Tour. Swift achieves her 14th Global 200 top 10, the most among women since the chart began in September 2020; among all acts in that span, only Drake has more (27). Congrats to "Flowers", still far & away the biggest hit of the year worldwide with a staggering 1,281,380,000 global streams to date.

  15. Morgan Wallen Spends Second Week at No. 1 on Billboard 200 With ‘One Thing at a Time’ Plus: TWICE and Miley Cyrus debut in top three. Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time spends a second week atop the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated March 25), as the set earned 259,000 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending March 16, according to Luminate. That’s down 48% compared to its debut week sum of 501,000 units a week ago. One Thing at a Time logs the largest second-week for an album since Taylor Swift’s Midnights collected 342,000 units in the week ending Nov. 3, 2022 (chart dated Nov. 12), after debuting a week earlier with 1.578 million units. One Thing at a Time’s second week is nearly as large as the opening week of Wallen’s last album, Dangerous: The Double Album, which launched with 265,000 units (week ending Jan. 14, 2021, chart dated Jan. 23). One Thing at a Time is the first album by a male act to spend its first two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since Harry Styles’ Harry’s House tallied its first two weeks atop the list on the charts dated June 4 and 11, 2022. It’s also the first country album to log its first two weeks at No. 1 since Dangerous spent its first 10 weeks at No. 1 (Jan. 21-March 27, 2021 charts). (Country albums are considered those that have hit or are eligible for Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.) Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200 albums chart, TWICE and Miley Cyrus debut at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, with their latest efforts, Ready to Be and Endless Summer Vacation. Both acts earn their largest weeks by units earned since the chart began measuring by units in December 2014. The new March 25, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on March 21. 17. Metro Boomin Scores Third No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With ‘Heroes & Villains’ Plus: Mariah Carey's 'Merry Christmas' returns to top 10. Metro Boomin’s superstar-filled album Heroes & Villains debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart (dated Dec. 17), giving the producer his third leader on the list. The 15-song set starts with his biggest week yet: 185,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 8, according to Luminate — largely driven by streaming activity. Heroes & Villains boasts a cavalcade of heavy-hitters, including 21 Savage, A$AP Rocky, Chris Brown, Future, Gunna, John Legend, Travis Scott, the late Takeoff, Don Toliver, The Weeknd, Young Thung and unbilled spoken word cameos from Morgan Freeman. Heroes & Villains is Metro Boomin’s seventh charting effort on the Billboard 200, and fifth to reach the top 10. He previously hit the region with Savage Mode II (a collaborative album with 21 Savage, No. 1 in 2020), Not All Heroes Wear Capes (No. 1, 2018), Double or Nothing (a collaborative set with Big Sean, No. 6 in 2017) and Without Warning (billed to 21 Savage, Offset and Metro Boomin, No. 4 in 2017). On Sept. 16, Heroes & Villains was initially announced with a release date of Nov. 4. Then, on Oct. 26, the set was pushed to Dec. 2 due to sample clearance issues. Also in the top 10 on the Billboard 200, Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas returns, rising 11-10. The album, released in 1994, peaked at No. 3 that year, and has returned to the top 10 in each of the last four holiday seasons. The new Dec. 17, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Dec. 13. Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ Returns to No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 The 1994 modern classic leads five holiday hits in the top 10, plus two new top 10s from Metro Boomin. Like Santa setting off on his annual airborne sleigh ride, Mariah Carey makes her ascent back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart with “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The modern carol logs its ninth total week atop the Hot 100 and becomes the first song to have led in four distinct runs on the ranking. The song was first released on Carey’s album Merry Christmas in 1994 and, as streaming has grown and holiday music has become more prominent on streaming services’ playlists, it hit the Hot 100’s top 10 for the first time in December 2017 and the top five for the first time in the 2018 holiday season, before reigning over the holidays in 2019 (for three weeks), 2020 (two) and 2021 (three). “Christmas” paces five holiday classics in the Hot 100’s top 10, while Metro Boomin debuts two titles in the bracket – “Creepin’,” with The Weeknd and 21 Savage (No. 5), and “Superhero (Heroes & Villains),” with Future and Chris Brown (No. 8) – both from his new album Heroes & Villains, which launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated Dec. 17) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (Dec. 13).
