  1. Internationally: Stats: Jung Kook’s “Seven,” featuring Latto, posts a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, with 111.7 million streams (down 10%) and 4,000 sold (down 68%) worldwide Aug. 4-10. The song is just the second of 2023 to debut atop the Global 200 and spend at least its first four weeks at No. 1, after Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” tallied its first six weeks on the chart at the summit beginning in January. Jung Kook’s “Seven,” featuring Latto, concurrently crowns the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for a fourth week, with 101.9 million streams (down 10%) and 3,000 sold (down 50%) outside the U.S. Aug. 4-10. For a third week, three songs from the Barbie soundtrack, Barbie: The Album, chart in the Global 200’s top 10: Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” rises 4-2, Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” jumps 6-3, as both songs hit new highs, and Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” with Aqua, rebounds to its No. 6 best, from No. 7. Elsewhere, Myke Towers’ “LaLa” lifts 5-4 on the Global 200, after reaching No. 3, and Taylor Swift’s “Cruel Summer” climbs 11-5, after hitting No. 3. The latter is the only song in the top 10 with gains in both worldwide streaming (49.1 million, up 7%) and sales (10,000, up 75%). So happy What Was I Made For? & Dance The Night are both huge global top 3 hits
  2. On the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Additionally, Renaissance was not classified as a Dance/Electronic album until its 16th week. Had Billboard done so, the album would have spent an additional 15 weeks at number one. This would put its total weeks at #1 as 51 weeks. Here is the current top 5: 1. The Fame by Lady Gaga – 175 weeks 2. Memories...Do Not Open by The Chainsmokers – 46 weeks 3. St. Elsewhere by Gnarls Barkley – 39 weeks 4. Chromatica by Lady Gaga and Renaissance by Beyoncé – 36 weeks UPDATE Renaissance has broken the tie this week.

  9. Jason Aldean’s ‘Try That in a Small Town’ Tops Hot 100, As Country Hits Rank at Nos. 1, 2 & 3 for First Time Aldean's first leader is followed by Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" at No. 2 and Luke Combs' "Fast Car" at No. 3. Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” rises to No. 1, from its No. 2 debut, on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. The single, released in May, reigns amid buzz after CMT pulled its video, which premiered July 14, from rotation after three days, resulting in a surge of attention. Meanwhile, with Aldean at No. 1, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” at No. 2 and Luke Combs’ “Fast Car” at No. 3, country hits take the Hot 100’s top three spots in a single week for the first time, dating to the Hot 100’s inception in August 1958. Also in the Hot 100’s top 10, Travis Scott, Bad Bunny and The Weeknd’s “K-POP” debuts at No. 7 and Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” with Aqua, returns to the region at No. 8, following the premiere of the box office hit Barbie. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated Aug. 5, 2023) will update on Billboard.com Wednesday (Aug. 2). For all chart news, you can follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram. https://www.billboard.com/music/chart-beat/jason-aldean-try-that-in-a-small-town-number-one-hot-100-country-hits-top-three-1235382220/ NewJeans Score First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 With ‘2nd EP ‘Get Up” Plus, the Barbie soundtrack makes a splash at No. 2, while Greta Van Fleet nabs its third top 10 with Starcatcher. NewJeans land both their first No. 1 and first entry on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Aug. 5) as their 2nd EP ‘Get Up’ debuts atop the list. The set earned 126,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending July 27, according to Luminate, mostly driven by CD sales of the album. The Korean quintet brings a second all-female group to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in less than a year, following BLACKPINK’s Born Pink last September. They are the only two albums by all-female groups to reach No. 1 in the last 15 years. (Before BLACKPINK, the last all-female group to lead the tally was Danity Kane with Welcome to the Dollhouse in April of 2008.) Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200, the all-star Barbie soundtrack bows at No. 2 – with the biggest week, by units earned, for a theatrical film soundtrack in over four years. Plus, Greta Van Fleet claims its third top 10-charting effort as Starcatcher starts at No. 8. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new Aug. 5, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Aug. 2. 12. Internationally: Stats: Jung Kook’s “Seven,” featuring Latto, logs a second week atop the Billboard Global 200, led by 152.1 million streams (down 30%) worldwide July 21-27. Jung Kook’s “Seven” concurrently rules the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for a second week, with 138.1 million streams (down 29%) outside the U.S. July 21-27. Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town” holds at its No. 2 Global 200 high, a week after it debuted at the ranking, up 177% to 30.8 million streams; NewJeans’ “Super Shy” rebounds 5-3, two weeks after it began at No. 2; and Myke Towers’ “LaLa” slips to No. 4 from its No. 3 best. Travis Scott, Bad Bunny and The Weeknd’s “K-POP” soars in at No. 5 on the Global 200, with 53.2 million streams and 14,000 sold worldwide in its first week. The lead single from Scott’s album Utopia, released Friday (July 28), is his fifth Global 200 top 10, Bad Bunny’s 15th and The Weeknd’s 10th since the chart began. Plus, Travis Scott, Bad Bunny and The Weeknd’s “K-POP” starts at No. 6 on Global Excl. U.S., with 34.1 million streams and 1,000 sold outside the U.S. The song is Scott’s third top 10 on the chart, Bad Bunny’s record-extending 15th and The Weeknd’s eighth. Meanwhile, three tracks from the Barbie soundtrack blast to the Global 200’s top 10, each for the first time: Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” with Aqua (28-6); Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” (18-7); and Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” (27-8), following the July 21 premiere of the movie and its soundtrack, with the film having gone on to an explosive box office bow. The songs drew 52.3 million, 47.7 million and 46.6 million streams globally, up 101%, up 45% and up 83%, respectively. Minaj and Ice Spice each add their third Global 200 top 10, as Aqua earns its first; Eilish tallies her fourth; and Lipa scores her third. Two Barbie soundtrack songs get dolled up in the Global Excl. U.S. top 10: Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” vaults 24-5 (led by 33.3 million streams, up 77%, outside the U.S.) and Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” leaps 19-7 (31.7 million, up 44%). Each artist lands her fourth top 10 on the survey. NewJeans double up in the Global Excl. U.S. top five, as “ETA” arrives at No. 4 with 38.6 million streams and 3,000 sold outside the U.S. The South Korean pop group achieves its fourth top 10, with both “ETA” and “Super Shy” both from its 2nd EP ‘Get Up’, released July 21. 14. Stray Kids’ ‘5-STAR’ Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200 Albums Chart Plus: Jelly Roll, ENHYPEN, Metro Boomin's "Spider-Verse" soundtrack, Foo Fighters and Moneybagg Yo all bow in top 10. Stray Kids lead a busy week in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated June 17), as the pop group debuts at No. 1 with 5-STAR. It’s the Korean act’s third chart entry, and third to debut at No. 1, following MAXIDENT and ODDINARY, both in 2022. The new album launches with 249,500 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending June 8, according to Luminate. That marks the fourth-largest week, by units earned, for any album in 2023. Further, of its starting unit sum, album sales comprise 235,000 — the largest sales week for an album this year, and the biggest for any title since Taylor Swift’s Midnights sold 1.14 million in its first week (Nov. 5, 2022-dated chart). Also in the top 10 of the new Billboard 200 albums chart, five other titles arrive in the region: Jelly Roll’s Whitsitt Chapel starts at No. 3; ENHYPEN’s Dark Blood bows at No. 4 after its CD release on June 2 (it was issued via streamers and digital download on May 22); Metro Boomin’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack flies in at No. 7; Foo Fighters’ But Here We Are starts at No. 8; and Moneybagg Yo’s Hard to Love enters at No. 10. With six debuts in the top 10, the region hosts the most new arrivals in over two and a half years, since the Oct. 10, 2020-dated chart, when six albums also began in the top 10. The new June 17, 2023-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on Tuesday (June 13). Plus, it and "Last Night" make for two simultaneous top five country hits for the first time since 2000. Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” achieves a 10th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. It becomes the 44th song since the Hot 100 began in August 1958 to reign for 10 or more weeks, out of 1,149 total No. 1s – an achievement that only 4% of all leaders have attained. Plus, Luke Combs’ cover of Tracy Chapman’s classic “Fast Car” keeps on driving, advancing from No. 8 to No. 4 on the Hot 100. The song surpasses the No. 6 peak in 1988 of Chapman’s original – and, combined with Wallen’s “Last Night,” makes for two simultaneous top five country hits for the first time since 2000. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data. All charts (dated June 17, 2023) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow (June 13).
