  1. Selena's Britney and Skrillex inspired album was created in 2013. The album mixed EDM, Dubstep , Dancehall, Banghra , House and Electropop; and also invented a genre 'Baby Dubstep'. Selena shaped herself as a performer with choreography and singing, a little changed for Revival but this era truly shaped her to be taken seriously as a pop girl instead of just a Disney kid. It changed lives like the Old Testament of pop did (BlackOut by Britney). The album spawned two singles: Come & Get It (#6 US , #1 ww) and the gay-clubs classic Slow Down and the moan-infused promo single: Birthday The album would've had three more singles that were cancelled due to Selena having health complications with lupus that ended up having chemotherapy. Undercover mv was filmed but scrapped, Save The Day and Nobody Does It Like you were the other planned singles. The album also had the unreleased fan favorite: Sad Serenade.

  6. Lorde has been seen hanging out a lot with Blood Orange and Jim-E Stack, the latter of which opened up some of her shows for the Solar Power Tour. This snippet, although short, sounds similar to the two unreleased tracks "Invisible Ink" and "Silver Moon" that she premiered at her festival shows last year. It appears this is the sound she has been leaning towards to post-Solar Power. Seems to pair well with her statement about returning back to writing more dance pop-driven melodies. What do we think?

  16. Ed Sheeran recorded 14 tracks with Aaron Dessner for - ("Subtract"), but that’s not the end of Ed and Dessner’s collaboration. Ed yanked three tracks from the album that felt too joyous, and realized they were the start of something else. “It was very quickly seen that we were making two different things,” says Sheeran. He went on to write an entirely separate second album with Dessner. He’s already mixing that one, though he’s not sure when it will come out; he wants to give – a chance to breathe. “I have no goals for the record,” he says. “I just want to put it out.” “This is how it feels to be in love, This is magical“ he sings on Magical,” from his second album with Dessner. Another Dessner song, a likely single, has a bright “Solsbury Hill” feel: “Saturday night is giving me a reason to rely on a strobe light,” he sings, amid more meditations on grief. A third Dessner production is a surging Bruce Springsteen-inspired track called “England.” Ed Sheeran has five more albums in mind using another category of symbols, one he’s not ready to share, at least on the record. There is yet another completed album waiting in the wings, a collaboration with reggaeton superstar J Balvin. The album is all ready to go, complete with already-shot videos, but with no release date in sight. He plays a track that bridges Afropop and reggaeton, with Burna Boy joining him and Balvin. Another Balvin production is a collaboration with Daddy Yankee, with Sheeran singing a hook between rapped verses; yet another is a slower reggaeton song where Sheeran actually raps in Spanish. “I wrote it in English,” he says, “and they translated it in the studio.” There are collaborations with Pharrell Williams and Shakira as well — turns out Sheeran has been writing for her next album, too, because why not? https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/ed-sheeran-new-album-subtract-tour-cover-story-interview-1234694319/
