  2. On April 18 at 2 PM EST, Kesha and Dr. Luke will square off at the New York version of the US Supreme Court - the New York Court of Appeals - for oral argument on two appeals by Kesha, setting the stage for an epic showdown and preliminary peak of Dr. Luke's 9 year-long defamation lawsuit against Kesha. The outcome of these appeals will drastically affect the upcoming jury trial of Dr. Luke's defamation lawsuit, currently scheduled to begin in July 2023, and have profound impact on defamation law and First Amendment rights in New York and potentially the US as a whole. The oral argument, taking place in New York State's capital Albany, will be live-streamed on Youtube. See below for more details. Recording:

  8. Twitter is now worth 33 percent of what Elon Musk paid for it, according to an investment firm that helped finance the deal. Ever since Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion last year, it's been a widely agreed upon stance that he greatly overpaid for the social media platform. However, the amount in which he overpaid seems to be widening post-acquisition. According to Fidelity(opens in a new tab), Twitter is now worth around 33 percent what the billionaire originally paid for it. That puts Twitter's value at roughly $15 billion. The number comes from the investment firm's own valuation of its own stake in Musk's Twitter, which Fidelity helped finance. Twitter's valuation from Fidelity follows a pattern since Musk took over in October of last year. Fidelity has consistently downgraded its own holdings in the company, knocking the value of its stake by 56 percent(opens in a new tab) just a month after the acquisition closed. By the end of February, Fidelity further downgraded its stake by more than 63 percent(opens in a new tab) before knocking it down by a full two-thirds this month. https://mashable.com/article/twitter-now-worth-one-third-what-elon-musk-paid
  9. Halle Bailey Warns Twitter To ‘Keep It Cute’ The actress and singer Halle Bailey took to Twitter on Wednesday morning with a veiled warning for fans amidst criticism of her and her sister’s recent projects. “I’m gonna say this once. I don’t stand for bullying of any kind on this app of anyone…those who I don’t know, and especially of those who I love with my whole heart. I think sometimes people forget that even though we live public lives, we are human, and have souls…” she tweeted. Chloe Bailey, the other half of the sister duo Chloe x Halle, has recently faced heavy-handed criticism. The 24-year-old revealed she deleted the bird app altogether. The “Have Mercy” singer has been promoting the release of her debut solo album, In Pieces ahead of her new film, Praise This. But she’s been slammed with backlash over her music collaboration with Chris Brown on said album, her racy sex scene in Donald Glover’s new series Swarm and her evolving sex appeal as a solo artist. “I love all social media, and I love Twitter as well, but that’s where you can see all the negative things about you directly in your face,” she told ET Canada. “If I see my name trending, I’d click it and see a whole plethora of negative tweets about myself. I don’t need to do that to myself.” The combined tweets read : hey y’all 💕i’m gonna say this once. i don’t stand for bullying of any kind on this app of anyone..those who i don’t know, and especially of those who i love with my whole heart. i think sometimes people forget that even though we live public lives, we are human, and have souls..everyone who knows me knows i go to war for the ones i love and i’ve kept it real cute on this app for a while now.. so just reminding y’all to please keep it cute too 🥰❣️💕xoxo

  15. Only Fans star, Christina Ashten Gourkani’s cause of death has been revealed. According to Palo Alto newspaper, The Daily Post, the 34-year-old died of cardiac arrest after reportedly having someone who was an unlicensed practitioner inject what is believed to be silicone into her buttocks. Christina is said to have hired Vivian Gomez, of Florida, to assist her with the procedure, the publication claims, noting that Gomez allegedly traveled to Burlingame to meet with the social media influencer in April. The 50-year-old was reportedly arrested at the Fort Lauderdale Airport and is expected to be extradited to Redwood City to face criminal charges related to the incident. Christina was known for being a Kim Kardashian lookalike. Her family shared the heartbreaking news of her passing online at the time. “It is with deep sorrow and an [immensely] heavy broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani.” Her loved ones created a Go Fund Me account to help cover the funeral costs and shared the horrifying details of her passing.

  17. Meg Ryan made a rare public appearance on Thursday evening, in support of Michael J. Fox's new Apple TV+ documentary. The 61-year-old actress attended a special screening of Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City. There, she was photographed with Fox, 61, and his wife, Tracy Pollan, 62, as the three celebrated the upcoming release of the film, which recounts Fox’s story, going from a small Canadian boy to one of the biggest stars in Hollywood during the 1980s to his subsequent (and ongoing) battle with Parkinson’s disease. The recent outing comes over a year after Ryan was last seen attending a dinner hosted by Jane Campion in March 2022. The Los Angeles event at the Hotel Bel-Air was in support of the director's Netflix film, The Power of the Dog. Ryan's appearance at Fox's screening also comes almost a year to the day when her return to the world of romantic comedies was first announced. At the time, she was slated to direct and star alongside David Duchovny in What Happens Later, a film based on the play Shooting Star by Steven Dietz. At the time, ET reported that the rom-com -- which will be Ryan's first since 2008 -- centers on exes Willa (Ryan) and Bill (Duchovny), who are reunited when they find themselves snowed in at an airport overnight. Willa is still a free spirit, while Bill is coping with a recent separation -- but over the course of their night together, the pair is compelled to look back on their shared past and revisit any feelings that still linger between them. "We couldn’t be more thrilled to have the incredible teams at Bleecker Street and HanWay alongside us as we bring this special story to the screen," What Happens Later producers said in a press release. "We believe it’s a look at life and love that audiences the world over will relate to and hunger for in these uncertain times when connection and reconciliation feel more important than ever." "HERE WE GO!!" Ryan posted to Instagram, with a photo of the film's poster. Since then, little has been heard about the status of the project while Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie is set to debut Friday, May 12 on Apple TV+. While speaking to ET, the actor reflected on the documentary. "I love the way that they did it," he said. "They applied this sort of footage to the narrative, to my story, and they found situations in films that acted out the -- because it actually happened in my life." He added, "It's a really good film." https://www.etonline.com/meg-ryan-makes-rare-public-appearance-in-support-of-michael-j-foxs-documentary-204075?fbclid=IwAR0NHCTc76Ind3Jr3MXqME005aLfBtplxdMkc0Hugc-g6TSa2FKcl3wFY98

  19. Gwyneth Paltrow is getting personal. The Oscar-winning actress is opening up about some of her most high-profile past romances on an all-new episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast. In the latest episode, posted on Tuesday, the 50-year-old Goop founder sat down with host Alex Cooper and dished on the A-listers she's dated in the past -- including Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. Recalling her '90s romance with Pitt, she reflected on meeting the Oscar winner while filming Seven, in 1995, and it was "Major love at first sight. It was crazy." Their romance evolved quickly, and the pair ended up getting engaged but broke things off in 1997 before ever tying the knot. "I had a lot of development to do, looking back in hindsight. In a lot of ways, I didn't really fully start to come into myself until I was 40 years old." Paltrow shared. "And I had such a pleasing issue. I didn’t really even understand how to listen to my instincts and act from that place." That being said, Paltrow recalled that she was "totally heartbroken when we broke up." "It was the right thing at that time, but it was really hard," she recalled, adding that she still has a warm and fondness for Pitt, 59, as a person. "He's a great guy. He's wonderful, I really like him a lot." Cooper wasn't holding back when it came to grilling Paltrow either, with a game of "Brad of Ben," in which Paltrow was asked to compare her famous exes in a number of categories including, "Who are you more likely to get into an argument with?" and "Who is more romantic?" As well as, "Who is better in bed?" Paltrow dated her Shakespeare in Love co-star Affleck on and off from 1997 to 2000. As it turns out, Paltrow said both Pitt and Affleck were good kissers, and when it came to who was better in bed, the choice was "really hard." "Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, kind of, at the time, and then Ben was, like, technically excellent," Paltrow said, struggling with the awkwardness of her candor. Cooper also convinced her to play a game of "F**k, Marry, Kill" with her choices being -- as one might guess -- Affleck, Pitt and her real-life ex-husband Chris Martin. When it comes to marrying, Paltrow said unequivocally she'd choose Martin, sweetly adding, "I would do that all again." As for who she'd take to bed one more time, Paltrow said, "I think Brad." Which, obviously, left one more pairing. "Ben, yeah, God bless him," Paltrow said with a laugh. Paltrow was married to Martin from 2003 to 2016. She has since tied the knot with Brad Falchuk in 2018. Affleck married Jennifer Lopez in July 2022, and Pitt has gone on to high-profile marriages with Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie. https://www.etonline.com/gwyneth-paltrow-compares-sex-with-exes-brad-pitt-and-ben-affleck-203878?fbclid=IwAR20js7dj0Sd4wJEQgyTWGTmH97Arb7ID552cf-zcTrSPmwEsroDGAWrRvs
