  13. Lady Gaga headlines Pepsi Zero Sugar Super Bowl LI Halftime Show Global superstar LADY GAGA, winner of six Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and Academy Award nominee, will headline the PEPSI ZERO SUGAR SUPER BOWL LI HALFTIME SHOW on FOX at NRG Stadium in Houston on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017. Watch Lady Gaga's Spectacular Super Bowl Halftime Performance: Reaching back into her extensive catalog, the Grammy winner and American Horror Story actress snared 117.5 million viewers on Fox for her 13-minute performance at NRG Stadium in Houston. While Gaga started her spectacle at 8:13 PM ET, Fox has gauged the eyeballs on the self-described Mother Monster in the 8:15-8:30 PM ET as that’s obviously where the bulk of the pyrotechnics-rich show took place. RelatedLady Gaga’s Super Bowl Halftime Show More Mediocre Than Monster – Review Still, a bit like the losing Atlanta Falcons last night, Gaga was close but no cigar to Super Bowl victory. The all-time most-watched halftime show remains Katy Perry’s 2015 performance at Super Bowl XLIX with its total TV audience of 120.7 million. That means last night was down about 3% from the show of two years ago at the University of Phoenix Stadium, where Missy Elliot and Lenny Kravitz joined the “Roar” singer.

  18. Few contemporary pop albums have managed to impact queer culture quite like Carly Rae Jepsen’s 2015 sophomore effort, Emotion. Packed with soaring ‘80s synth production, explosive melodies, and relatable lyrics about love and lust, the unlikely project has become a lasting LGBTQ cult classic. Now, a group of Brooklyn-based performers are throwing CarlyFest II, the second annual get-together, celebrating two years since the pivotal album’s release. The event is hosted by Sam Banksand Charlene—two mainstays of NYC queer culture—inside their home and DIY party space, “Casa Diva.” This year’s iteration will feature DJ sets from Banks and Anthony Dicapua, as well as performances from Charlene, Qhrist with a Q, Kelsey Dagger, Megababe, and more. Special guests, who’re aptly nicknamed “Carly Stans,” include Rooney, Orlando Estrada and Daryl Coke. Dubbed “the gayest party of the summer,” Banks says CarlyFest was originally “created out of a desire for me to indulge in the stickiest, creamiest pop music all day long with a bunch of friends doing Carly numbers, and then me and Anthony [Dicapua] playing the dumbest gayest DJ sets of the year.” Facebook event-page
