  8. Katy Perry Still Holds Record, as The Chainsmokers Fall From Hot 100's Top 10 After 61 Consecutive Weeks Perry's 69-week streak in 2010-11 remains the mark to beat. Still, The Chainsmokers boast the longest run ever by a duo or group. They got closer, just not close enough. The Chainsmokers depart the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated July 22) after ranking in the region for 61 consecutive weeks. The EDM/pop duo falls eight weeks shy of the record set by Katy Perry, who logged 69 consecutive weeks in the Hot 100's top 10 in 2010-11. As previously reported, The Chainsmokers' "Something Just Like This," with Coldplay, dips from No. 10 to No. 13 on the latest Hot 100, ending their streak that began on the chart dated May 21, 2016, when "Don't Let Me Down," featuring Daya, jumped 14-7, on its way to a No. 3 peak. The Chainsmokers extended their streak with "Closer," featuring Halsey (12 weeks at No. 1), "Paris" (No. 6) and "Something" (No. 3). On the March 18, 2017-dated Hot 100, the latter three songs ranked in the top 10 simultaneously, making The Chainsmokers just the third duo or group ever to triple up in the Hot 100's top 10 in a week, joining only The Beatles (10 such weeks in 1964) and Bee Gees (two, 1978). "Closer" also went on to set the record for the most weeks logged in the Hot 100's top five (27) and tie the mark for the most weeks spent in the top 10 (32), matching the total of LeAnn Rimes' "How Do I Live" in 1997-98. Here is a look at the longest top 10 streaks in the Hot 100's history: Most Consecutive Weeks in the Billboard Hot 100's top 10 69 weeks, Katy Perry, 2010-11 61 weeks, The Chainsmokers, 2016-17 51 weeks, Drake, 2015-16 48 weeks, Ace of Base, 1993-94 46 weeks, Rihanna, 2010-11 While The Chainsmokers own the mark for the longest top 10 streak on the Hot 100 among duos or groups, having bested Ace of Base's 48-week span in 1993-94, Perry retains the overall mark, thanks to five hits from her 2010 album Teenage Dream: "California Gurls," featuring Snoop Dogg; the title cut; "Firework"; "E.T.," featuring Kanye West; and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" All five songs topped the Hot 100, making the set only the second with a quintet of No. 1s, after Michael Jackson's Bad in 1987-88. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/7858173/katy-perry-record-chainsmokers-fall-hot-100-top-10

  13. After Taylor Swift’s catalog returned to all streaming platforms on June 9, four of the superstar’s five studio albums re-enter the Billboard 200 chart dated July 1, including 1989, which jumps straight back into the top 40 at No. 31. The album has been absent from the top 40 for more than a year. (The latest chart’s tracking week ended on June 15, and the chart in full is scheduled to be posted to Billboard’s websites on June 20.) Swift’s Red album bounces back to the chart at No. 88 (8,000 units, with a little more than 6,000 in SEA units: 9.51 million streams). Fearless also flies back onto the tally at No. 119 (6,000 units, of which 5,000 are SEA units, equaling 7.19 million streams), as does Speak Now at No. 133 (6,000 units; a little more than 4,000 SEA units: 6.7 million streams). http://www.billboard.com/amp/articles/columns/chart-beat/7834065/taylor-swift-streaming-return-four-albums-billboard-200
