Hector posted a topic in Celebria
But naming pop queens? That comes easily for her. "The ultimate pop song for me is 'Like a Prayer' by Madonna, followed by close second, '…Baby One More Time' by Britney [Spears]," she gushes. "We're really lucky right now — we're living in this glory time of pop music. There's so many ones out there right now, but those two … I think 'Toxic' is really amazing too." https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/anne-hathaway-madonna-britney-spears-ultimate-pop-songs-1235669588/ Ahh her taste, I love her -
The British artist is set to testify today, having filed a written statement on the benefits of regulated artificial intelligence Twigs has filed a written testimony on artificial intelligence to a U.S. senate subcommittee, revealing that she is developing her own deepfake to interact with fans. She will testify on Capitol Hill today, Rolling Stone reports. In her written testimony, FKA twigs says her own deepfake has been in development for a year and is "not only trained in [her] personality but also can use [her] exact tone of voice to speak many languages." The letter continues, "Our careers and livelihoods are in jeopardy, and so potentially are the wider image-related rights of others in society. You have the power to change this and safeguard the future. That the very essence of our being at its most human level can be violated by the unscrupulous use of AI to create a digital facsimile that purports to be us, and our work, is inherently wrong. It is therefore vital that as an industry and as legislators we work together to ensure we do all we can to protect our creative and intellectual rights as well as the very basis of who we are." It was announced that Sabrina was tracking to be #1 in the midweek uk charts over Fortnight, with less than 1,000 chart units separating the two. Right after the announcement, Taylor released physical copies of Fortnight in her store. Thoughts? Why does she want a multi week #1 so badly? Weren't her and Sabrina friends?

celeb news The Weeknd Pledges $2 Million to Provide Food for Humanitarian Support in Gaza
Ryan posted a topic in Celebria
Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye has donated $2 million from his XO Humanitarian Fund in an effort to provide 18 million loaves of bread to help families in Gaza. The donation was made in tandem with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), which will provide 1,500 metric tons of fortified wheat flour to feed more than 157,000 Palestinians. It comes on the heels of a previous donation of $2.5 million from the Weeknd in Dec. 2023. That funding provided 820 metric tons of food parcels to feed 173,000 Palestinians for two weeks. He is also calling on fans to provide donations to those in need in Gaza. The news comes in a growing line of donations made by the philanthropic singer. In January, he donated to the Los Angeles-based organization School on Wheelsto support more than 1,000 students experiencing homelessness. He also gave millions of dollars to charitable organizations in recent years including Ethiopia, Lebanon, Covid relief and more. “With famine looming in Gaza, Abel’s generous support will provide vital relief for thousands of Palestinian families who battle the grip of hunger every day. We are tremendously grateful for his contribution, compassion and for his unwavering advocacy for WFP and the people of Palestine,” said WFP’s Director for the Middle East, North Africa and Eastern Europe Region, Corinne Fleischer. “We are very grateful for Abel’s continued support as WFP works to respond to the urgent hunger crisis in Gaza,” said Barron Segar, president and CEO, World Food Program USA. “Hunger is a human-made problem, and as such, it is solvable. We have enough food in this world to feed everyone; all we need is the funding and safe access to make it happen. Thanks to Abel’s designation, families and children will receive the food they so desperately need.”- 25 replies
