  2. Former chart-topping singer Jessie J has taken to social media to confess to her fans that she’s now unemployed. Jessie J hails from the UK and is best known for her hits including Price Tag, Domino and her global smash Bang Bang featuring Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. While she was once riding high in the charts, J’s warbling hasn’t been heard on the radio for sometime now. The former Voice UK judge’s last record, 2018’s R.O.S.E, failed to appear on any weekly album chart on earth. J took to Instagram on Thursday to share with fans that she has decided to part ways with her record label, and told fans that she’s now “unemployed”. “I have to just be honest with who I am and what I want from my career now and how I feel – and being signed just doesn’t sit with that now,” she said. The singer added: “There’s no negative spin, nothing’s happened, it’s not dramatic. It’s just me saying it doesn’t feel right being signed and it hasn’t for years. So, I need to stop just trusting my instincts and act on them…” “So now I am unemployed!” she laughed. During the heights of her fame, J proved to be a rather divisive figure in the pop world. Following the release of Bang Bang, she claimed that Nicki Minaj had heard the track and demanded to be featured. However, J was later forced to apologise after Minaj tweeted that J’s comments were false and that her record label had both requested and paid her to jump onto the track. When J’s singles began to flop in the UK, she caused a stir when she confessed in an interview that she thought the country didn’t appreciate her enough. “It makes me sad,” she told Women’s Health at the time. “I’ve done the Grammys, the VMAs…my profile in America is that I’m kind of celebrated as one of the greatest singers and I love it.” She added: “I wanna be up there with the Celine Dions, the Whitneys, the Beyoncés and Arethas”. x https://www.instagram.com/p/CxvBXTystlI/?hl=en
  3. Police Perform Wellness Check On Britney Spears After Knife-Dancing Video Someone who knew Spears personally ― not a concerned fan ― called police to express concerns, according to a spokesperson with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in California. “We typically don’t do things like that when fans call in and have concerns about celebrities and what’s said or done on social media,” Dean Worthy of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office told HuffPost on Thursday. “However, we’ve added the information and determined this individual was not simply a fan. Rather this person was close with Miss Spears and had a relationship and knew her on a personal basis.” The law enforcement officer ― who knows Spears and has checked on her at the house previously ― left after Spears’ head of security and her attorney each assured him the singer was OK, Worthy said. So she is OK guys. That is what her attorney and head of security said when the police showed up at her home. She wouldn't speak or let herself be seen by anyone. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/police-perform-wellness-check-britney-spears-report_n_6515d2d6e4b055cbc0a727be?d_id=6439981&ncid_tag=fcbklnkushpmg00000024&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&utm_campaign=us_entertainment&fbclid=IwAR10aAcEo6DFKS-i_yppEin2krgAjhi8GNfMrkF_uwtjxKn6cqOZF-FLpHY
  4. Demi is partially blind from her overdose to the point that she cannot drive anymore. Demi Lovato opened up on the Howard Stern Show revealing a shocking result of her drug overdose that she still feels the effects of today. “I still have vision problems. To this day, I do not drive anymore. I have blind spots in my vision [from the overdose.]” says Demi Lovato, age 31. “When I look at someone’s eyes, I don’t see their nose or their mouth. I’m blind right below my focal point. It was due to the lack of oxygen to my brain, which killed off cells that were not able to repair.” @Walk_Away21 @Reverse Warholian

  6. Lizzo has asked a judge to dismiss the sexual harassment lawsuit filed by three former dancers and asks for trial by jury if complaint isn't dismissed. In a response filed Wednesday by Lizzo’s legal team, the singer and her Big Grrrl touring entity denied “each and every allegation” in the lawsuit and asked that it be dismissed “in its entirety with prejudice.” Otherwise, Lizzo seeks a trial by jury to fight the lawsuit. “Defendants deny generally and specifically each and every allegation contained in the Complaint, and the whole thereof, and deny that Plaintiffs have sustained any injury or loss by reason of any act or omission on the part of Defendants, and deny that Plaintiffs have been damaged in the amounts mentioned in the Complaint or any amount whatsoever,” the response stated. Lizzo’s legal team also said the three dancers suing her “are guilty of unclean hands,” a legal term meaning that they are not entitled to any damages because they themselves failed to perform under the terms of their contracts.

  8. Pussycat Dolls begin as a burlesque act before founder-choreographer Robin Antin negotiated a record deal, bringing in Scherzinger to front the band, which was rounded out by dancer-performers Kimberly Wyatt, Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts and Carmit Bachar. "Our group was never set up like the Spice Girls. Our group was set up where I would be the quarterback, and I would lead us," Nicole Scherzinger, 45, recalls of their singular set-up. "The girls are extremely strong, talented dancers, and I had to work hard to be able to stand next to them." Despite the group's ups and downs over the years, Scherzinger — who has said she recorded the majority of the vocals on the albums — says she looks back on her time with the Pussycat Dolls fondly. "I always used to be made to feel like . . . I don’t know, not ashamed, but . . . I’m very proud that the albums are my music. I put the work in after all these years, and that's OK that I have the credit because everybody has their own strengths. And this is what I bring to the table," she says. "Those were world-class pop records that had many No. 1s around the world. And I love my girls, and I’ll always have love for them — I only wish them the best."
