  1. 'Lynne is furious at [Sam] for abandoning Britney,' the source shared. 'He took a vow to stand by her side through sickness and health - and he knew she was not well [when they married].' In the wake of Sam leaving Britney's $11.8 million Thousand Oaks home, Lynne is now desperately urging her 41-year-old daughter to return to her home town of Kentwood, Louisiana and move back in with her so she can 'heal and regroup'. 'Lynne is begging [Britney] to leave LA and live with her,' the insider went on. 'LA is toxic and the only thing keeping her there was [Sam]. Lynne believes she can heal and regroup in Louisiana, then return to LA when she is ready.' When Sam and Britney first got together, her family and friends were overjoyed - believing that he would be the one to ground the singer once and for all, with DailyMail.com previously revealing that he was viewed by her loved ones as a 'kind guy' who simply wanted to 'save' the popstar. 'The sensible people in her life will be sad that the marriage is over. The feeling was that he thought he could save her, but maybe there is no saving Britney,' the source revealed. When Sam realized his wife could not be saved, a second source says he 'checked out of the marriage', claiming the actor just 'sat at home and played video games all day' before deciding to end the union altogether - a move that has prompted bitter upset from her family. 'Instead of working with her family to get her help, [they feel that] he abandoned her as soon as things got tough,' the source said. Britney was officially freed from the legal agreement - which saw her father Jamie handed almost complete control over her personal life, career, medical care, and finances - on November 21, 2021. One year later, California governor signed a bill limiting conservatorships in a bid to better protect the rights of those facing that kind of set-up. This move however has made things incredibly tricky for Britney's family - who know that they cannot put her in another conservatorship but are desperately struggling to find an alternative way of ensuring her personal wellbeing. 'Family and friends feel it is truly at the point of life and death and they have to save her,' the first family insider declared. 'They feel the only option would be another conservatorship, even though that's the last thing they'd want - but they cannot go down that road because she just got the paperwork to be released from the last one - and they've now even created a new law around it.' 6. • I hear you navigating a kind of a broad political space. I hear you talking like someone who is part of both left and right political groupings. You know, you obviously—a lot of the people that you hang out with in Silicon Valley, or around Elon, are libertarians or conservatives, and then there's a lot of progressives as well, and from the backgrounds that you habitually hang out in. So am I right that I see youth trying to thread together different political viewpoints and think about how they can be integrated? Grimes: Yes. I really think one of our biggest issues right now is the polarization. Like, I refuse to be left or right. I'm scared about what we're doing to young men and the discourse around men right now. • What part scares you? Grimes: There are a lot of issues with like male toxicity, but like we're seriously just telling men they're evil for, like, things that they can't—like testosterone is like a crazy war drug. Like why can't there be a political platform that, like, makes space and room for—and honors—masculinity, like traditional masculinity, and like encourages it to be better in a constructive way, rather than, like, tearing it apart, that’s still is like into women's rights and access to abortion and trans rights. It’s like, why are these things dichotomous? Like—like why are they fighting each other? • What do you think is an effective way to do that though? Grimes: I think for me, it's always about, like, the carrot and not the stick. What I would love to see is sort of, um, celebration of the good parts of masculinity. Like, how do you create a discourse that, like, encourages men to, like, push themselves and, like, be chivalrous? And like—like how do you romanticize, uh, a type of masculinity that is really respectful of women and supportive of discipline and like, I don't know, like all the **** everyone makes fun of. • I think I understand what you're trying to say again. I mean, it feels like you're saying, simply, the default way to criticize toxic masculinity is to try to take apart masculinity itself. Grimes: I think that's what's happening too much, is like in our attempts to get rid of the things that have been so, so destructive, I think we're tearing apart masculinity as a whole. 20:40 https://www.wired.com/story/have-a-nice-future-podcast-17

  10. SPARKLE SWEEPSTAKES: Fashion brands seem to be getting slightly more bang for their buck from dressing Beyoncé for her “Renaissance” world tour than Taylor Swift for her “Eras” concerts. For example, Alexander McQueen won $7.7 million in media impact value, and Tiffany & Co. $7.2 million, for placing designs on Beyoncé, compared to Versace garnering $6.3 million after dressing Swift, data from Launchmetrics show. The data firm’s tallies show that “Eras” has so far generated $97.5 million in media impact value, or MIV, and “Renaissance” $187 million. The proprietary MIV figure calculates the impact of relevant media placements on all channels (online, social and print), inclusive of paid, owned and earned mediums.
