So some of Taylor’s early work is some of my favorite pop albums. SN, RED and 1989 for me is one of the best runs in yt girl pop music history. I also support her re-recording her albums and making her coins. BUT. She sounds SO BORED on some of these tracks. I first noticed it when listening to the bridge of If This Was A Movie when she sounded so hurt in the og but so relaxed in the re-record. You could tell that in studio during the OGs she was filled with emotion while recording and the re-records (some of them) are just lifeless in comparison and 1989 sort of solidified that for me and I’m a bit disappointed. I do get that emotions fade and disappear and that may be it but it still makes for a meh listening experience. Do any of you feel this way or am I crazy?
