AlanRickman1946 posted a topic in Civics
BREAKING: The Senate voted to 80-15 to force a contract on rail workers. Here are the Senators who voted no: Cotton Cruz Hawley Rubio Rick Scott Toomey Collins Tim Scott Hagerty Gillibrand Merkley Sanders Hickenlooper Warren Sullivan The House on Wednesday approved a separate measure that would have added seven days of paid sick leave to the contract instead of just one. That measure was defeated in the Senate vote. Paid sick leave has been the main point of disagreement during negotiations between railroads and the unions. -
During press-conference “Prohibition of films and seizure of books. How the law on the ban on LGBT propaganda will work” on the site of the National News Service agency, an event which was organised to explain to media, human rights activists & journalists how the new anti-LGBT propaganda law will work deputy Tatiana Butskaya said: [Translation from 36:41] - Never in our childhood did it occur to us that a girl can be with another girl, until t.A.T.u. came around. And suddenly a girl could stand with another girl and hold hands, because they saw that on every channel, because t.A.T.u. were played everywhere. A boy should look like a boy, a girl should look like a girl. [...] If you have a disease, it must be treated, you should not brag: “I have a carious tooth, my liver does not work". Russian government recently passed a law, that prohibits any mention of LGBTQ+ in positive or neutral connotations on the internet, tv, radio, books & etc. Before that LGBT-propaganda was only forbidden among minors and materials containing information or imagery about LGBT had to be marked 18+. If t.A.T.u. were to release "All The Things She Said" in today's Russia - they would be fined up to $165,289.25. It's very likely that t.A.T.u.'s music will probably be banned in Russia. t.A.T.u. haven't yet responded.

It shocks me, that these are actual people that spend hours of their day spamming tweets with their videos, doctored photos, and turning everything into the artist they dislike. Like I know Atrl is bad, but this is a whole new level. I know I lose a couple braincells whenever I see their tweets.

discussion ATRLs in the southern hemisphere, do you feel the Christmas magic?
Gorgeous posted a topic in The Lounge
For me the cold weather being back is like one of the biggest themes of Christmas, I just could not picture AT ALL celebrating Christmas in June, it would feel like the most anticlimactic thing ever. I'v just seen some Australian bloggers decorate their house with themes of coziness and even some ornaments had snowflakes decorations, even though for them Christmas is basically a summer celebration. -

In a tweet hours before he died, he said: 'CIA and Mossad and pedo elite are running some kind of sex trafficking entrapment blackmail ring out of Puerto Rico and Caribbean islands. 'They are going to frame me with a laptop planted by my ex [girlfriend] who was a spy. They will torture me to death.' Hello everyone! I have been working at the bank in the project management department for more than a year. I got a job here as a management administrator, I was actually running errands. If a bad situation happened in the department, then we had to handle it ourselves. The year passed very quickly and a lot of things were done. Relations with colleagues were good. I am not very interested in communicating with them, but I have always maintained a dialogue with them. A few weeks ago, information about the promotion was announced: I turned from an administrator into a manager, leaving 80% of my colleagues behind. Relations cooled sharply, moreover, colleagues began to come regularly with stupid proposals and claims that had never been voiced before. A couple of times I caught colleagues in the dining room, where they guiltily considered me to have gone home (that's why they didn't invite me to eat) and praised my jacket suits. And I also noticed that people are not particularly willing to help me. I am not the boss in relation to them, by the way. I don't understand how to react to such changes and I don't understand their motives.

discussion Is it irresponsible to let your kids work in the entertainment industry?
PoisonCandy posted a topic in The Lounge
Not only is it taking away their childhood by having them work long hours, but they're also in an industry with a lot of shady characters. Paedophilia and drugs run rampant. The people you hear about most when it comes to drugs and paedophilia, that's only the tip of the iceberg, imagine how much more of that is going on in the industry and we just don't hear about it. Why would anyone want their kids to be surrounded by stuff like that? It's totally irresponsible. -
