I dont know if this is allowed to post but when I tell you Im confused. Theres this fine as hell, older (single) gentleman who happens to be my neighbour. Ive known him for about a year and at times hes very sweet, he invites me over for a 1 on 1 dinner, buys me gifts (mostly food), gives me compliments saying how handsome I look and for his birthday he invited me over saying "it will be just him and I and a bottle of wine" (nothing happened that night). Weve spent so much time together. I mean all of this doesnt sound very straight, right? But everytime I flirt he gets very defensive and sometimes angry saying he loves WOMEN which is so confusing to me. Ive been in love with him for over a year but I cant tell if hes just taking the p*ss or hes into me but not ready to come out as gay/bi. What do I do, girls?

I'm graduating from university on June 24. On this day I have a graduation thesis defense. Unfortunately, I started writing my research paper very late – in May. I knew that in our university, the defense of a thesis project is relatively easy, so I dragged my time until the last moment. The work must be checked, printed and signed by June 14. On Friday, I called my supervisor and admitted that I was late for deadlines. She said it was my responsibility and she wouldn't be able to see the work before this Monday. In general, she watches 1 chapter for one week, makes edits and then discusses them with you. I have 3 chapters of 80 pages. So far there is no answer. I understand that this is my problem and responsibility, but I do not understand how to establish relations with the supervisor in this dialogue. I have all the grades in my diploma – A+.

The last few years I’ve noticed a decline in my need for a partner, the pandemic accelerated this too. As you know, in many languages, everything gets a gender. The gender they pick is sometimes biased / sexist. For example, in Arabic, the word for war (harb) is feminine while the word for peace (salaam) is masculine. Also, if there are 10 girls in a group and just 1 boy, you have to refer to the whole group as masculine because masculine dominates feminine ALWAYS. It also shows how desperate humans are to enforce gender everywhere when even random ass objects must have a gender. So is it problematic ?
