DEADLINE: Gareth Edwards’ ‘True Love’ Title Changed To ‘The Creator’, Release Date Moves Up – CinemaCon 20th Century Studios/New Regency’ Gareth Edwards directed movie, True Love, has had a title change to The Creator. The release date has been moved up from Oct. 6 to Sept. 29. Pic takes place in distant future where humans face off with robots. In the trailer shown, we see John David Washington with his wife with his daughter, reflecting on heaven. The daughter is an android, with a half-head. Gorgeous battle scenes akin to Edwards’ Star Wars: Rogue One with space ship fighters attacking tropical locales. This movie makes Blade Runner look like child’s play in its production design.

Some justice. The movie itself really wasn't bad and the acting performances were good. It was just too standard of a biopic that didn't really add anything new to the story that wasn't already known before.

DEADLINE: Daisy Ridley Returning As Rey In Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy & Steven Knight Star Wars Movie Daisy Ridley is to reprise her role as Rey in the upcoming Star Wars movie directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, while Dave Filoni and James Mangold will helm other films in the franchise. The news was revealed at the Star Wars Celebration in London this morning, which saw a guest appearance from Ridley. Her movie from Obaid-Chinoy, penned by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, will be set after the events of her previous movie in the franchise, Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, and as she builds a new Jedi Order. Last month, Deadline confirmed that Academy Award nominee Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) had taken over as the screenwriter for Obaid-Chinoy’s Star Wars movie following the recently announced departure of scribes Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibson.
