  13. Oh, ATRL—where chart wars and stan meltdowns are a daily ritual. It's like walking into a pop culture Hunger Games, but instead of survival, it's all about proving your fave is "legendary" because they hit #1 on iTunes... for 10 minutes. The site is basically Twitter with more characters, which isn't necessarily a good thing, and if you're not prepared to defend your favorite artist to the death, you're in the wrong place. ATRL is where nuanced opinions go to die, replaced by gifs, caps lock arguments, and fan-driven echo chambers. If you're looking for a well-reasoned debate, good luck! It's a gladiator pit where Swifties, Beyhive, and Little Monsters fight for dominance while everyone else watches from the sidelines, popcorn in hand. Don't even think about saying something critical about a pop diva, unless you want to experience a drag session that rivals a reality TV reunion. The site runs on fan entitlement, and it's filled with people who seem to believe that their stan Twitter account gives them insider access to the Billboard Hot 100 algorithms. But hey, if you love reading the same three arguments ("stream more," "she's over," and "legendary flop") on a loop, ATRL might just be your paradise.

  22. I feel like what a lot of people are missing is that technology, for a lot of people, is not just the on-paper specs of a device, but an experience. Apple just offers the best user experience of using technology due to the excellent implementation of their software with their hardware, simplicity and intuitivity of use, coupled with the best design language and build quality on the market that makes their devices feel really premium in your hands. And that goes for all of their gadgets, not just phones. Congratulations on all the gimmicks and tricks you can do on your android phone, the reality is that the vast majority of people simply do not care for that.

  24. The Washington Post just dropped an article on JFAD's flop. Repeats the same things we've seen in other articles, but it reinforces the narrative that Gaga is NOT to blame. https://www.washingtonpost.com/style/2024/10/06/joker-2-box-office/ The subtitle is "Not even Lady Gaga could save the anti-hero musical drama, which reportedly earned a bleak domestic opening of $40 million in domestic ticket sales." Which would imply that Gaga is a box office force otherwise! Other mentions of Gaga: "The second act of "Joker" has left audiences unamused, falling flat at the box office, sparking fan outrage over Lady Gaga's limited screen time..." "Still many Lady Gaga fans alike took aim at the film for underutilizing the actress's talents. In particular, the singer's fans lamented about her limited screen time amid reports claiming that the actress is featured for less than a quarter of the movie's 139-minute run time. And others slammed the film for misleading promotional material and called for Warner Bros. to release an extended cut with scenes of Lady Gaga in the official trailer that they say were omitted from the final movie. "Why are majority of the visuals featuring @ladygaga in the trailer missing from the actual @jokermovie?!" one user wrote on X. "Release the Gaga cut!!"

  27. I went to my local theater's website to see how this is doing in tickets sales out of curiosity. They're screening the movie in less than 4 hours and reservations are COMPLETELY empty. I've literally never seen something like this before Update: Two (2) tickets were sold for the 10 PM screening. That's 2 out of 300
