  8. I swear I remember seeing this thread like 3 times year and its always the same. But hey, let's remind some of us here that a) conservatives/homophobes will never ever like you and you look like a clown when you desperately try to distance yourself from the LGBTQ+ community and trans people issues. There is no us without them. b) queer people in homophobic countries don't want you to bomb them and their families to pieces in the name of "human rights".

  12. Many of you suffer from intense internalized homophobia and it shows anytime you post about queer artists (Lil Nas, Troye, Sam). It's like the spirit of Ronald Reagan takes over your souls. Also, we, as a community, need to be way more careful with the "ironic" homophobia. It's one thing to do it in person and in jest with your queer friends. It's another thing to use "f****t", "fruity", etc. in an online space, where straight people can join in. The heteros have been getting WAY too confortable and we need to start pushing back. And using "f****t" as an insult in NOT reclaiming it.

  15. You can be a fan of lady gaga and be anything. The expression of art and pop music transcends these labels for those of us who assign to live halfway in between reality and fantasy at all times. The dichotomy of the art of being a gaga fan is both eternal and temporal, one on hand you have the representation of the bottom, elton john, and in the other hand you have the representation of the top, tony bennet. Artpop could mean anything

  18. Also, stop only making friends with people you wanna f*ck. You can build friendships with people who don't look like you. Befriend a lesbian, t-girls, t-boys, non-binaries. The goal of a friendship is not to f*ck, it's building community.

  24. On a more serious note, there's NOTHING sad enough about Britney's current life that needs these kinds of comments from anyone, but especially from people whose lives are actually sad, like Kelly and her mother's lives are. Rotten people. What keeps Britney's life from being the tragedy these clueless women (and others) imagine is that she built a legacy that will live on past her lifetime, before she turned 30. She is a self-aware and highly emotionally intelligent individual, who is clearly facing her demons and insecurities, instead of running away from them like many of the people that criticize and pity her do on a daily basis.

  25. Now this is something we desperately need to discuss and do something about. The way gay men, mostly white cis gay men, are extremely misogynist, especially in online spaces, is insane. Unfortunately this also goes for racism, transphobia and ableism. I would also like to note here that "ironic homophobia" has gotten really, really bad online as well, surprisingly a lot of it from women.

  34. White gay men will QUICKLY choose their whiteness over their sexuality in a heartbeat The gay community is broken beyond repair, especially on the topic of relationships Pride parades arent excuses to be sexual deviants and expose yourselves to literal children in the crowd, which is it, are children welcome or not, hell, forget children, some of us don't want to see that **** There is too much of a presence of reckless, casual sex in the community. People need to be able to contain their sexual desires no one from the LGBTQ community is exempt from criticism

  42. That was never gonna happen. Even at her peak (Teenage Dream / Prism eras), she was clearly still behind them. I could literally argue that Bey during 4 (labeled as a flop in 2011) was still a bigger STAR than Katy. Katy Perry is a pop star with an expiration date. She wasn't talented enough. She wasn't relatable. She never created a full body of work. Never bothered to build a fanbase/cult following. Etc. She was a mega star who created bops and had an appealing image yet safe enough for kids. Once she stopped serving both of those things and took a big break, the industry and the public moved on to fresher artists.
