HTE was so necessary for her and I don't care that it did pretty meh on release day, I think it was a wonderful album But see this… the stars all aligned. Her best album yet, acclaim, good image, the Barbie song hype continuing over. This is a smash and I see it having longevity too because the quality is there. She deserved to be topping singles charts too but considering how competitive charts are she's doing incredibly. I'm a fan not a stan but she's at 2/3 for me now, I really love this girl so much

YAY BILLIE!!! This makes me so emo for some reason. Partly for Billie bc she deserves the success tenfold, but also bc seeing all of the girls take over this year has been one of the most beautiful things to witness. I just saw the first Stockholm show, which was the most amazing experience The entire city is completely invaded by swiftmania. There's info counters for swifties when you arrive in the airport, big posters at the train station welcoming you to 'Swiftholm'. The National Museum had a Taylor-related section in their store. Everywhere you go, in any street, bus, restaurant, bar, boat ride, bakery, museum, you see lots of people wearing bracelets or Taylor merch. A random McDonalds 40 minutes from the city, on the opposite side of the stadium, was packed with swifties at 1AM after the concert while playing Taylor only. Everyone is talking about it, and even the prime minister went to the show. Just a crazy experience being in Taylor-land for a weekend!

They are severely underestimating her numbers. 'HIT ME HARD AND SOFT' has significantly better first day streams on US Spotify of her previous album, which went on to get 114M streams in the US in its first week. The 2nd day performance on Apple Music has been better as well, signaling a much more stable performance throughout the week than her 2021 album. 140M streams feel too little given all these strong early indicators. Also they're predicting like ~145k in pure sales, which also feels too little since 'HTE' managed to sell 150k and this has had a much bigger physicals push. I think the predictions will definitely increase to 300k+ in the next few days, making her a lock for a #1 debut.
