Taylor does not belong in this list. Not having the most expansive vocal range does not make you a bad vocalist, no matter how much some on ATRL wishes it did Taylor's greatest strength lies in her ability to convey emotions through her singing. Her vocal delivery resonates with listeners because she sings with authenticity and emotion. Also, she's a consistent and proven live singer, who doesn't habitually rely on lipsyncing. Not to mention she's been able to succesfully transition from country to pop to indie, each of which require different vocal styles and techniques. The fact that miss Swift is able to adapt her voice to different musical styles is in itself a testiment to her abilities as a vocalist. OT: The answer is JLo. But she's an entertainer and performer, not a vocalist. Not everyone needs to give Mariah-level vocals to be a good artist overall.

To quite honest I cannot describe Harry musically. Not even negatively. I regularly listen to him and can't even pick up on quirks unique to him that he isn't evoking from artist previously. Even Bruno Mars who's whole thing is retro music still sounds uniquely Bruno Mars. He feels like a placeholder artist despite his success.
