I admire her honesty so much. Despite facing racial bullying, death threats, and constant negativity, she remains true to herself. She deserves the world. I'm grateful that she isn't focused on commercial success and is instead creating music that truly reflects who she is. She's a true class act.

That's such a crazy way to start an article. 6 years just to announce the title of your debut album I really am rooting for Normani. However, I don't get why she hates on 'Motivation' so much. It's the best single she's released as her own (not as a feature or collaboration).

Anything said on the internet prior to 10 years ago should no longer be able to be held over anyone's heads imo. If someone still has bigoted or problematic views there'll be more recent evidence of it. Digging for dirt on people's past 13+ years ago is a weird and problematic behaviour in itself, and these people who try to call out celebs almost always have said some far worse stuff more recently that always comes to light.

I love when the response to these types of threads is people admitting their lack of musical knowledge and yet valiantly speaking out on a music forum.

Third and most importantly; the album is just not on par with her best work. When you are THE artist of the world atm you can't deliver mediocrity. It also didn't help that Cowboy Carter was released before this. People are seeing a clear difference in quality and talent. The CC album is more than just music. Just like Michael Jackson and Madonna, Bey is breaking social barriers. Then Taylors album dropped; which people are not only finding mediocre, but also makes them think that she is adding very little or nothing to the bigger landscape beyond emo tween heartbreak songs.

All I'll say is thank you Old Town Road…
