  10. Okay, so trying to piece together everything that we have so far and figuring out what part of the process is she in rn. Based on the sole assumption (and this is like, the worst case scenario ) that the studio pics that she's posted lately were all real time (or a mix of real time and old), the video with Josh Gudwin's studio mic and Josh's latest IG story, LG7 is currently being mixed which should take a few weeks before it is sent for mastering, which will probably take another 1-2 weeks. Assuming it's fully done, mixed and mastered by March end or latest mid-April, LG7 could be put out in May. Based on her last two studio releases, once the album is completed she doesn't like to sit on it too much and tends to release it within 3-4 weeks post-mastering. She was still overseeing the Joanne mastering process Sep 19 and it was released Oct 21. And though there are no exact dates that I could find for C-word's mastering window, we have a rough idea based on what Morgan Kibby (who worked on the interludes) posted on IG (Jan 17) and this Rolling Stone interview “Though I came on at the very end of the process, we threw ourselves into a whirlwind, two-week period of writing and recording, and I delivered the mixes just days before the album was mastered. It was a trip!” Which means Gaga worked with Morgan between Jan 17 - Feb 1 and she delivered the mixes sometime later in Feb/Mar, just as the mastering was nearing completion. As we all know, pre-COVID release date for Chrome was April 10. TLDR; Lead possibly next month and LG7 is coming summer 2024

  12. I don't think there will be a concert in-game yet. As someone who has played Fortnite religiously for the past five years, this is how things will probably go: The current (and first) season of Fortnite Festival (which is themed around the The Weeknd) ends on Feb. 22. On that same day, the second season of Fortnite Festival will launch and we can expect it to be themed around Gaga. What does that mean? We'll get a mini battle-pass with at least one Gaga skin + her music. Just like this: We'll also get a trailer like this: Finally, there should be a "Lady Gaga" bundle in the Fortnite shop with an additional skin (with styles), a wrap, pickaxe + emote. Like this: Here's the catch, Fortnite Festival is a completely different game from Fortnite: Battle Royale. As of today, all concert events inside the game have taken place as part of the promotional cycle of the Battle Royale mode and its seasons (mainly as a mid season or end of season event) and leakers are usually quick to mention the existence of "event files" in the game files when there's an update and they haven't done it yet so the chances of a Gaga concert happening this week are low. HOWEVER, the current Fortnite: Battle Royale (Chapter 5, Season 1) ends on March, 7 (a Thursday) and the next one (Chapter 5, Season 2) starts the very next day (Friday, March 8). There's usually an event between seasons and if I were to have Lady Gaga giving a concert inside my game, this is when I would do it

  15. It’s always funny when people who have zero knowledge of the music industry try and gaslight people who…actually work in the industry and claim they’re wrong just because they like a certain artist I watched the entire video and just because she hasn’t written for Beyoncé doesn’t make what she’s saying any less valid. She also wasn’t dissing Beyoncé, her talents, her vision, or anything of that sort. She gave Beyoncé her flowers numerous times. What she did say is that writers for Beyoncé have felt she should not receive publishing for things she did not write. She didn’t claim Beyoncé is totally uninvolved, in fact the contrary, but adding harmonies or ablibs is more of a production credit than a writing one (unless of course she adds something new to the adlibs). Even then, does she deserve to get 20% publishing for a word change or two? Especially given that the majority of the work is done by songwriters who get paid next to nothing? Songwriters in these sessions do not get paid hourly or for their time at all. The music industry exploits these people. Nobody is saying this is a Beyoncé problem, not even this songwriter, so I don’t know why stans are getting so defensive about this. If you watched the video in full she talks about how ALL A-list/B-list artists (who don’t write solo) benefit from this songwriter exploitation and that there are way worse culprits in the industry. She just used Beyoncé as an example of an artist that has so much influence to change this dynamic but chooses not to. And again it isn’t Beyoncé’s problem to solve. But to act like her leading by example would not benefit these songwriters given her massive influence is kinda silly. Also the NDA thing is very real and artists’ lawyers/labels impose these heavily on songwriters. The issue really is the system these labels have created where artists receive all of the benefits that the people that helped create their vision do not get to see. In fact, Beyoncé is a rare case of an artist that sees any profits from their work since labels usually see majority of the profit. Only a hand full of A-listers have that privilege. Some of the biggest artists have less ownership over their work than their labels do which is a whole other problem within the industry. With all that said, to try and diminish Beyoncé’s career to “stealing” is stupid because ultimately it’s her vision that pushes her music forward. You can give a singer the best songwriters in the world and they will never be able to replicate the career of a Beyoncé, a Rihanna, or Whitney, or Madonna, etc. TL;DR: The music industry is an even more heightened version of capitalism where the laborers gets the crumbs while the “face” of the product and their owners (labels) get all of the pie. Songwriters should just go on strike like SAG-AFTRA at this point.

  16. She's 100% right. But she's not talking about "stealing credits", she's talking about taking a percentage of the publishing. Beyoncé is always, 100% of the time, credited as a songwriter and producer on every song she records. Of course, I believe she worked intimately with every song she records, but it's not fair to take a percentage of a work that you may not have earned. Of course we can never know how much Bey contributes unless we're in the studio with her, but her sentiment about how what happens with songwriters working for powerful artists is right. I wish Bey would work with a smaller pool of writers or be willing to give someone sole credit if necessary .

  20. Isn’t that all that genre does? Steal choreo, image, sound from established, usually black western artists, add some lifeless looking aesthetic to it, shoot a video in 2140p with epilepsy inducing colours, and their stans think they’re doing something.
