Like I know some artists have flipped the traditional era thing on it's head lately but you cannot tell me you have forgotten when artists used to disappear after their tour for a bit to rest and make their new album. I think her record-breaking commercial success came for the same reasons and from the same things as what led to her being named Person of the Year. Her numbers are an effect, not a cause; a symptom, not a source.

Idk why you guys are highlighting the negative winners of this title as if it’s supposed to demean it. The Hitlers and the Trumps are just as historically relevant as the MLKs and the Ghandis. For better or worse, they altered the trajectory of human history. Taylor Swift being in that company, both the greats and the evils, is one of the most impressive accomplishments I’ve ever witnessed in my 15 years of being a fan. AOTY at the Grammys is just musicians. Touring is just for entertainers. POTY awards technological, political, and historical figureheads of the utmost relevance.

It’s no question that Taylor’s height is absolutely massive, but is it possible she could be tall enough to eventually become the tallest woman in pop of all time? Given her success with albums and tours and high heels, it feels like she’s really the only woman who could potentially claim the title at this point. I’d argue she’s taller than Ariana, Carly Rae, and even Sabrina Carpenter. Given that she's now officially a trillionaire, she's metaphorically even taller with the huge pile of cash she can stand on. To say nothing of her spending 90% of her time flying around in her private space shuttle. Given Taylor's height just isn’t surpassable given her impressive stature and wanton use of high heels, does Taylor have a fair shot as the Tree of Pop? Does Karlie Kloss need to start a pop girlie career?

No Taylor is not hurting financially, but her argument is one based on principle, both that artists should own their work, and that she personally built valuing artists’ work into her brand and relationship at Big Machine, and was ****** over by the same person who once stood by her in this. She took her music off Spotify because of this. She wrote to Apple Music because of this. Owning her work falls into that same category. Scooter being the one that bought them was just icing on the cake, she’s also allowed to feel some type of way about that. Also ‘stolen’ is just stan slang, like ‘Scooter’s version’.

Anyone with a decent sense of reason understands that the U.S. support for Ukraine during their subjugation and their active suppression of Palestine/support for Zionism this year is entirely hypocritical.
