There is an insidiousness that Zionists who claim to care about peace actively do what amounts to recruiting young American Jews and radicalize them through the prospect of birthright. Noah Schnapp's radicalization into a far-right Zionist literally correlates with the birthright trip he took and shared on social media. Any serious Israeli who wishes for a peaceful, two-state solution must come to terms with the fact that such would require the end of birthright. If you believe 1) Israel and Palestine can exist as equal but separate societies but that 2) Palestinian diaspora aren't entitled to the right of return, then the reality of "birthright" citizenship not only fuels the kind of fanatical religious myth that promotes the expansion of Israel but also codifies inequality for Palestinians. Why does a 19-year-old American born in Westchester, NY deserve to displace and help de-populate a 19-year-old Palestinian whose family has lived in Palestine for the last 700+ years? Religious delusions that a religious book can determine that people separated by thousands of year from a land are entitled to said land is how you get Israeli officials calling for the occupation of Jordan and Lebanon next.28 points

It's not impressive when all the people going to see her are basic white girls. ATRL has sophisticated and refined taste, unlike the people who go see Taylor Swift, therefore, this is not impressive at all.26 points

then please suggest what they can do through non violent means. they've been trying to get their land back for over 70 years, Israel just keeps stealing more and more from them. Hamas' response is to decades of oppression. I don't condone the killing of innocent lives but Hamas seems to be discussed a lot when it comes to people who support Israel. They use it as a means to push the blame on Palestine, and not the decade long apartheid, oppression, pain and suffering that Palestinians have gone through. They've literally had most of their land stolen, they're forced to live in what's been called "an open air prison" which they can't freely leave, and they've had thousands, tens of thousands of deaths in decades after Israel was formed as a country. All of those innocent children slaughtered. I also don't like how people like to bring up how they don't support LGBT. I'm gay, but I support people's right to live over their right to express their sexuality. It's not great that Palestine as a nation wouldn't support LGBTQ people, but people being able to live their life, and go through their life (without the imminent threat of being bombed to death, running out of food, running out of water, and not being able to get medical treatment due to their hospitals being bombed) is more important to me, and most people which is why people support the movement regardless.22 points

More than 300,000 people marched for a ceasefire in London alone. You must live in a cave if you think only people on ATRL and X share the opinion that Israel should’t be committing war crimes.17 points

And y’all wonder why Taylor is so big, maybe it’s because we can tell she’s the only main pop girl who actually cares more about music than becoming a pyramid scheme lipstick saleswoman16 points

Don't take this the wrong way, but this is such a bleak, nihilistic, and self-serving take. It doesn't affect you so it's easy to say 'oh well, sucks to be them I guess, but we can't stop it', as if these weren't conscious paths and political decisions being taken, not just appearing out of thin air. Your appeals to 'human nature' of genocide are also ahistorical and include 0 evidence for why genocide/conquest is needed (you used this word repeatedly, which is weird to me, as I can't think of a single genocide that was in any way necessary for human development). Yes, human history is violent, but it also includes many examples of when people and nations cooperated, worked together, and rose up against injustice to better themselves. Genocide and colonisation are not inevitable consequences of civilisation, they are political decisions that ought to be resisted and pushed back against. I'm finding it hard to imagine that you'd be saying the same thing if you were in Gaza with you friends/family being carpet bombed right now. I understand that we as individuals can't save the world, but it is a worthwhile cause to campaign and exert pressure on politicians, especially in the US/UK. The pro-Palestinian movement has never been bigger and stronger and it grows every day. Things can be different, saying otherwise is just a lazy cop out. If every progressive in history took your position and just rolled with whatever the powerful decide we would still live in ancient slave societies.15 points

I think it's odd and kinda unprofessional for an artist of her caliber to keep members of the team just because they're friends. I get the importance of surrounding yourself with people you trust and love considering how alianating her life could be but private life is thing and work another. Also that could lead to unnecessary drama like that going on.13 points

Taylor Swift is big enough now for there to be different factions of fans everywhere. Like The Hunger Games. In District 1-11, we have our normal fans who just love the music. In Disctricy 12, we have the cupcakes (losers, if you will). These people will project their own insecurities and dreams onto her, for some reason. Never grasping the fact that she’s her own person and can live… well, her own life. Exiled, in District Hell, we have the Gaylors. But that’s a story for another day.12 points

Yes actually, which is why many songs have gone viral without making much impact on the charts. Users often don't want to leave TikTok just to go find a song on Spotify. With a "save" button accessible, it's gonna be MUCH easier for viral songs to blow up on streaming services10 points

Well, that is how I describe a lot of Tim Tales videos. When Caio sticks his thick 13-inch sword in the kernel size hole of a baguette, that is murder. They don't call it being gouged for nothing.9 points

Yall love to come online and broadcast that you have never educated yourselves on all of the human history of violent resistance to violent oppression. You are literally erasing a long history of liberation movements that were violent. Enough with your "protest in peace uwu <3333" bullshit. And Palestinians' right to armed resistance is morally and legally valid. It's not up to you to decide that. We might not agree with all of Hamas' methods, but they are still legitimate resistance.9 points

Just saw this news and i was really surprised, they quickly became in my opinion an icon of the LGBT community in Latinamerica. Truly sad news, hope one day queer people can live safe and normal lives in mexico and rest of latinamerica without being judge or killed. I went on titkok to see what they were saying and some ignorant people were "happy" about it, like the hate and discrimination its disgusting, religion is truly the rot of society.9 points

Dua sis....you are not a veteran in the industry just yet (especially not in the US). You cannot just do radio interviews and call it a day. She NEEDS to showcase her music and give people visuals to match the music in their head (including live performances). You can't go Houdini during your singles release week like....gurl...you're not a Beyonce or Taylor or Gaga who can do stuff like that because they've been in the game for so long that it just doesnt matter anymore. Your fans are CRAVING moments from u still....come on girl!8 points
