  3. This was cool. More of a talent showcase than a song promotion but that was probably the point. Y'all need to go easy on her. She was caught in label limbo for like 6 years and her career was in shambles after she managed to get out. If being invited to Fallon is a big moment for her, let her be. Most of the people mad at her or mocking her for canceling a gig to do this, probably didn't even have tickets to the show and were not in any way affected.

  4. I hate Hamas too but nothing justifies what Israel is doing to Gaza. The entire city is being starved to death with no water, fuel, power or medicine and this is after decades of being forced into absolute poverty while Israelis live in a first world developed country. Entire neighbourhoods were turned to ash in Palestine and who knows how many civilians were murdered?

  12. It feels like fever dream to open this thread to catch up with the ongoing discussion and see someone use the laughing emoji to react to posts and post things like "LMAOOOO I TOLD YOU SO! SEE, I WAS RIGHT THE WHOLE TIME LMAOOOO. THE PICTURES WERE REAL THIS WHOLE TIME. IDF DID NOT LIE GIRLS, IKTR!!". A small area, which over 1 million people currently live, is going to be heavily bombarded by one of the strongest military forces in the world within the next 24 hours. This is not some messy stan catfight, stop being disrespectful and diverting the conversation from what is really at stake here. The insensitive trolling, childish behavior, and intellectual immaturity coming from this specific small minority is deeply uncomfortable to see here. Palestinian lives matter.

  15. But how many times do we have to add "Hamas is awful and killing innocent babies is a crime" as a *DISCLAIMER* to our posts? How many times do we have to repeat that any innocent civilians dying is absolutely horrific? Not a single pro-Palestine poster here has defended the killing of innocent civilians. Meanwhile, we have people justifying the ethnic cleansing and bombing of 1M Gazans because..well they refused to listen to the warning and leave? Providing context about the historical formation of Hamas, its funding, and how it rose to power =/= supporting it and downplaying its crimes. Our contextualization of current events isn't and will never be an endorsement. And trying to blame the Palestinians collectively for the actions of Hamas is nothing short of absurd given the last election they had was 17 years ago. Less than half of the population voted. This whole framing of Palestinians being the same as Hamas seems very similar to the framing of Muslims being the same as the Al-Qaeda terrorists and an easy way to deflect from the one and only oppressor: Israel.

  17. Ew at the tone of this post. For someone that felt the need to awkwardly scream “you’re resorting to buzzwords!!!”, your use of a Ben Shapiro’d fallacy, that consists in using the demographic growth of Palestinians to shrug off conversations about the ongoing legacy of the Nakba, reads like it comes from someone deliberately misunderstanding the United Nations Commission of Experts definition of “ethnic cleansing” in order to troll. I'm sure anyone can probably hear the bolded part of your post in a corny “Destroying woke pro-palestine activists with logic and facts!” zionist video uploaded somewhere online. Being upset over Israel being called out for domicide by many credible international institutions, or perhaps reducing domicide to a “buzzword”, won’t change the *material reality* faced by Palestinian refugees living in places such as the Gaza Strip, often described as an open-air prison, which includes inhumane conditions such as having access to drinkable water constantly denied. It also won’t change the fact that such violent reality is responsible to push the youth even further down the radicalization route in a never-ending cycle, as we’ve also seen with other former colonial regimes. Those dynamics are unsustainable and that has basis in reality.

  21. Is there one person in here who is capable of admitting that both sides fight dirty, and condemning both? Is there one person who can say that the treacherous Israeli government is interested in wiping out Palestine from the face of the earth and that Hamas is a radical jihadist terror group with an expected penchant for barbarism and bloodshed? Palestinians deserve a better defense than these animals. Because all I see is I’m right, you’re wrong, they started it, no they started it, Israel is defending itself, Israel deserved it after 70 years. There is no justification for the Israeli government’s actions in the past and present; there is no justification for Hamas’ means of attack. Israel is a violent oppressive occupier and apartheid state and Hamas is a terrorist organization with no respect for any human life. Condemn them both. What is defending Netanyahu or a terrorist organization doing for you?

  22. this is off-topic and presented in such a disingenuous manner. This doesn’t “prove” the statement you made in antisemitism so be real and sharing a very racist account’s tweets is not the jig is up you think it is. —- In general we need the name calling to stop. it’s getting pointless if no one’s talking to each other but just trying to post one gotcha after the other

  23. What does a Chechen man committing a senseless act of violence in France, have to do with this thread? What “jig” is that, exactly? Why don’t you say what you really want to say & stop beating around the bush? Criticism of the Israeli state has nothing to do with Judaism, Jewish identity or Jewish culture. To conflate the 2, in context of the current atrocities being committed, is in fact what invites antisemitism to fester. Israel does not represent Judaism or collective Jewish belief, sentiment & opinion. The Palestinian advocates in this thread do not assign the atrocities & inhumane war crimes committed by Israel to Jews as a whole, nor do they consider them somehow inherent to Jewishness. What you’re doing here, in fact, is attempting to assign mass culpability to Muslims & by using a completely unrelated incident, wanting to a draw a suggestion of an inherent want or support of violence in a specific group of people. That is called what? Racism? Prejudice? Eugenics? Which term do you feel is most apt here?

  24. Those +1M people were warned but they're refusing to leave in under 24 hours so Israel is gonna bomb them to pieces and it's their fault for not listening. It is what it is. Tew bad! Maybe they should go to Egypt or Lebanon and never be allowed to come back? New day, new low in here

  27. The issue is, one atrocity has brought about a justification for another atrocity, that has been confounded with the shedding of light on the daily atrocities that the Palestinians have had to live with, that received little to no attention/support of this scale, up and until, seemingly, it began to bring Western hegemonies complicity & hypocrisy into question. So people, justifiably, feel the need to compensate, heavily. This topic has been brought up in my daily life over the last few days, with people I’d never thought I’d be discussing it with & I’ve had to come to terms with just how little knowledge or insight the lay person actually has on the issue, where/how they consume their news of world events & just how easily persuaded to either side someone without a natural curiosity, need for questioning, or media literacy can be. On top of all of that, slogans like “I stand with xxx” pushed by the media & leaders, incite & pressure masses to “pick a side”, only furthering tensions. I will note though, that “I stand with Palestine” does not mean “I am dismissive of Jewish suffering”, it’s a recognition of the voiceless, but it’s being disingenuously interpreted as a support for terror - because Palestinians cannot be allowed a voice. They cannot be allowed to be seen as suffering or humanised. Only as provoking or complicit and “deserving”. The media has not now and not ever, been equal about its representation or accurate reporting on this matter & the influx of debunked propaganda by the Israeli state, has not helped or worked in their favour. The factual terror was enough. Very quickly, it turned into a clear push for exaggerated narratives, to justify Netenyahu’s genocidal ambitions.

  28. Friendly reminder to everyone reading that: Gaza is basically the size of Malta. There is no "leaving". There is no "moving around". 1M people in North Gaza cannot and will not be able to all move to the southern half of the territory, let alone "in 24 hours". Anything but a demand that the Israeli regime's bombings be stopped by the global community - something the UN has already demanded after Israel said it will not take extra measures to ensure it does not kill UN workers - is ethnic cleansing. There are no other places to flee; no bordering countries will accept 2M refugees because they know Israel will never let any of them return, and the so-called "humanitarian corridors" you're hearing the US push are actually for *checks notes* no more than 2,000 people a day. Demands for Gazans to become refugees in bordering countries and silence to the Israeli regime's bombs is advocating for ethnic cleansing.

  33. For as long as people don’t recognize Netanyahu as a fascist and he is not taken down with the same fervor employed with Hamas, we’re going to see the same violence operating again and again. Netanyahu and his government does not make a distinction between Palestinians and Hamas.

  34. Like....I was just reading the last few pages and literally repeated what was said? They just hate it when you expose the truth instead of sugarcoating it with "[insert nonsense justifying Israel bombing Gazans] but i want peace <3333" like they do. I'm glad many people are seeing through it, but unfortunately when Israeli soldiers massacre civilians they will claim they were given fair warning, and western allies will have a convenient excuse.
