christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #14 The Cure - Lady Gaga I was so shocked after Joanne era and the Super Bowl that Gaga was going to go back to Pop. I know this song isn't the best, but I was so happy when it came out. I love the production and the lyrics might be a little cringe, but it's nice to listen to
Remmy Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 The Cure Just watched her perform it last night! So baby tell me yes - YES!!! - She did that for sure. Still can't believe she just surprise released it on us at Coachella.
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #13 Malibu - Miley Cyrus I was shocked by how much I like this song, I didn't expect Miley to do this after Bangerz era. It actually made Miley seem as an actual person, not just some fake persona. This makes her look so real and I love the emotion she's talking about and how raw her voice seems! It's just so mellow and calm, i LOVE it!
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #12 Love Galore - SZA ft. Travis Scott What can I say this song is SUCH a bop! The beat is infectious and giving that classic 90s R&B with a new spin. SZA sounds so good on this track, love her vocals. The chemistry her and Travis on this track sets it up perfectly, I love Travis Scott and i like to see a new side to him on this track. He doesn't just play the player and his rap shows his side and how SZA was trying to take him away from his woman. It's clear both sides are at fault and are blaming each other. It shows cheating angle in a new way and not a cliche.
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) #11 Femmebot - Charli XCX ft. Dorian Electra & Mykki Blanco THIS SONG GUYS, It hooks you in with that amazing beat and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Omg I've loved this song ever since my first listen. I love how the song progresses it sounds like a computer crashing and rebooting. Charli seems like a feature on her own song but what she does is great, the verse of Mykki makes this song honestly. It takes it the extra level and you'll see what I'm talking about. Edited December 18, 2017 by christyalmeth
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #10 I Got It - Charli XCX ft. Brooke Candy CupcakKe & Pablo Vittar Much like Femmebot the features make this song. The production is so good and it keeps the momentum with everyone's raps. Nobody sounds out of place on this track and it has some of the funniest and smartest bars. This song has so much replay value and I can't get enough of it. Basically this is the homosexual Gucci Gang with talent and actually goes off
Remmy Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Malibu A cute song, but nothing on her latest album really grabbed me. The singles are the main highlights. These Charli tracks already being on your list At least you're picking some of the more bearable ones. Femmebot is pretty cute. I Got It is alright, Brooke and cupcakKe have the best parts by far.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 18, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2017 So glad you waited for Charli to be on these lists! I got It is underrated, anybody who hates it is stupid and needs to die
Dessy Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Love Galore really is THAT song. The video just sell it further
Kim Kardashian Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Serving TASTE. My two fave songs from Pop2 Malibu & Love Galore too

I waited for Pop2 to come out to do this I actually really loved both these tracks the first time I heard them I didn't put them higher just for the fact they're newer But definetly Brooke and Cupcakke are the shining stars of I Got It their verses is what makes the song Malibu really is the highlight of Younger Now, I thought it was cute and deserved a spot on the list I loved the side Miley showed and wished she kept the feel through out her forgettable album

christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) #9 Unforgettable Remix - French Montana ft. Swae Lee & Mariah Carey I've been hooked to this song the second I listened to it. I loved the original version but I loved the Remix Mariah adds another element to this song that puts it to a new level, Mariah's vocals are back! Edited December 18, 2017 by christyalmeth
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #8 Lipgloss - Charli XCX ft. CupcakKe This song is just so good the production and the contrast being Charli's sweet voice and Capcakke's harsh rap and sourness This song is so balanced and so great, there isn't much I could say just listen to it!
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #7 That's What I Like - Bruno Mars This song is such a feel good bop, no wonder why it stayed #1 for a couple of weeks Not much to say just Bruno making good bops with a classic 80's feel in today
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #6 Bodak Yellow - Cardi B I've loved this song since it was released and i've always been a Cardi stan Her first album was missing a bop like this, the second I heard it I knew it was going to be a hit The bars in this song are insane and she kills the beat, they're pretty funny too Honestly I think nobody saw this smash coming besides the people who've been apart of Cardi's clan since her vine days Industry snatching hit
christyalmeth Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #5 Dancing With Our Hands Tied - Taylor Swift This is the best song on reputation, the production is so good and Taylor sounds so beautiful. It's so beautiful sounding and great repeatability, it also has the best lyrics on reputation It really sounds like 1989 part 2 and it's a pop masterpiece. Definitely the highlight of this era, such a bop!
Remmy Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Lipgloss But another Charli song that's not among my favorites cupcakKe snapped on it twice though! That's What I Like mmm The whole album went off. Speaking of which, rep + Dancing with Our Hands Tied
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 19, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 19, 2017 DWOHT is the best non single! but the two lead singles are still the best on RePUTAtion.
and.y Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 You better stan Charli Lipgloss, Femmebot, and I Got It are PERFECTION. Dancing With Our Hands Tied is also a highlight on reputation for me, too. Bodak Yellow is one of my fave rap songs of the year as well.

christyalmeth Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 #4 The Story of OJ - Jay Z This song is just wow ... I love the message and commentary of this song. Jay Z is talking about his mistakes as a young MC wishing he could better invest his money. I know there was a controversy with the "You know how Jewish people in America own all the property in America" I don't take this as anti semitism because Jay is using Jewish people on how a minority can make it in the USA He's saying Jewish people are successful and made it in the world and black people can to. Most of his bars hit heavy with generational wealth tips and investing in things that grow over time. In my opinion this is one of Hov's best songs, the production is a bit messy, but it grew on me Overall great song
christyalmeth Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 #3 Wild Thoughts - DJ Khaled ft. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller The first time I listened to this song I was hooked, this song was the song og the summer. Another hit for Rihanna she makes this song and sounds so sexy and smooth on that Santana sample. Bryson Tiller's verse isn't bad and is good, I wanted more, but it's passable. Rihanna and Bryson sound good together. DJ Khaled did that and the production of this song is great too. It hooks you in and you can't stop listening to it
christyalmeth Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 #2 Greenlight - Lorde I've struggled back and forth for what #1 and #2 would be. This song despite not having as much success as I wanted to is just amazing. Lorde again has another great song and showing the girls what to do. This song just keeps building and building, there is never a dull moment. This song is just so grand and smacks you in the face with top quality production. Everything comes together in a beautiful melody, it's just butter to the ears. Lorde's voice being raspy and not so perfect shows the hurt she is talking about a love, so relatable, Lorde is speaking for every heart broken girl out there!
