rvx Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Awesome banner Pretty good top 10 list from last year
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 50-45 will be posted today/ this first countdown is just based on my personal chart, which only includes songs on the Hot 100 or on the pop radio charts. I may do a separate countdown for any song from 2017 then too.
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 50-46: A 2016 song but it managed to carry over into early 2017.. I like the hook but overall she does have some better songs. The only country artist to appear on this chart is Maren and she will be back again later as well. Cheat Codes got their mainstream breakthrough in the United States with No Promises. So their follow up is a collab with Fetty Wap, a song reminiscing about being how good it was to be young. Fetty actually delivers here and the drop is pretty infectious. I swear this feels like a summer song though. This is one of the best hit songs of 2016 and it barely scraps the top 50 this year. Not much to say here, but Daft Punk production & The Weeknd are a perfect match. Still a shame he didn't get a third hit off this album I think Harry is my favorite of the ex 1D'ers. A lovely song, it feels timeless really. And that iconic music video.. Yeah This should be way higher but unfortunately it had a real short chart life :( I couldn't tell you much about The Vamps besides that one other song they did with Demi Lovato? Anyways this is a certified bop
lhdang2000 Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 3/5. I feel like The Vamps is really underrated. All Night was pretty good. Perched to see where Stay and No Promises land.
Mark Rih Posted December 15, 2017 Posted December 15, 2017 Starboy and SOTT are both AMAZING the first charting even if it was released in Sep 16 wooo
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 16, 2017 Author Posted December 16, 2017 45-41: This got old really fast... mainly like it for the Santana sample and yeah cause of Rihanna, certainly not Bryson Tiller. Nothing really groundbreaking about this but in 2017 it seems I was obsessed with any Camila song. where is the music video???????? It took me awhile to like this, but looking back I it now. lol i knew I would love this once i heard the title. This should be way higher, only peaked at #12 on my weekly chart?? Always here for this type of song. And wow ATRL HATED this looking back at the thread. We'll be hearing much more from Hailee later on. i literally every lyric in this song. Liking it more and more with every listen.
Unknown User Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Loving the Maren domination Most Girls is cute as well
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 40-36: A Christian rapper on this list? okay then. this is similar to twenty one pilots as well i think and i love them. Heavydirtysoul would be on this list if it was a pop radio hit. a leftover from 2016... still a really good song, probably in my top 3 from 25. This is not what I was expecting from Linkin Park, but still a decent pop song. RIP Chester I hated Just Like Fire, but this is fine. Definitely one of the songs I heard the most this year and I am now sick of it for this reason. Hip Hop is not typically my type of music, but this song is incredibly complex and REALLY good..
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 35-31 I only really got into this after The Super Bowl, its a solid song though and one that holds up well after a year later. Jam. Khalid's first of many appearances on the chart to come... I still prefer "Be The One" to this. "IDGAF" is also really good. I see the appeal for this though and why it was such a huge hit, but I'm kinda sick of it now. Looking back this isn't that good and kinda forgettable tbh. I wonder how high "Strangers" would be on this list if it was a single, cause I loveeeee that song. It blows this one away..
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 25-21: This is fun and upbeat unlike his last two singles which i hated. And it reminds me of Something Big which is a great song too. It took me forever to really like this and once i did, eh it kinda got old after that. Deserves to be higher but it began its chart run at the end of 2016... absolutely love this. Oh so 2017 started and ended with Camila at #1! An interesting collab for sure, and it delivered. Just A Pretty basic song i guess. Marshmello is everywhere these days lol.
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 (edited) 20-16: not this being so high still one hit wonder on this chart for sure. i really dont like lil uzi vert at all besides this. this flopping jam. not her best, but still pretty good. Bubble Tea Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 "It Ain't Me" and "Praying" are both great. Kesha's song is obviously HOLY though. We weren't worthy.
legendaya_SSLP Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 #10 is probably the most disliked song on this list, at least from the worst year end lists ive seen.
legendaya_SSLP Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 #6: more Hailee and another song by Machine Gun Kelly
