TayDine1989 Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) are you ...ready for it? 2017 has been a roller coaster ride for me but through my ups and downs, music has always been there to lift me up. This year has been full of waiting and anticipation but also a lot of disappointments and dismay. With over 15,000 minutes of listening to music and over 500 tracks discovered in this year alone, I bring you my very own TAYDINE's 2017 Year-End Top Tunes Countdown Spoiler xD Edited December 13, 2017 by TayDine1989
TayDine1989 Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) 50. CHAINED TO THE RHYTHM, Katy Perry No bad blood between me and Katy Perry because this song from her latest album called Witness is a bop! This song is so fresh and so light and at times, it really eases my mood. Though this is far from what the GP has expected from her and is a little less upbeat compared to Katy's usual singles, I must say that Chained To The Rhythm is unique in its own way. 49. BELIEVER, Imagine Dragons It is very rare for me to stan a rock song but this definitely is one of the best songs in 2017. I think if I had discovered this early, it wouldn't be outshone by Imagine Dragon's hit single Thunder. This song bring out my inner soul and I usually find myself moving and acting like I'm holding an electric guitar and dancing like I'm in the middle of a concert. Truly, Believer made me believe that music has no classification, that music doesn't see genres - Believer made me believe that music is truly the world's universal language. 48. THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS, Taylor Swift I am one of the few TIWWCHNT's supporters here in ATRL. Even though, reputation was released just a month ago, this cute track managed to snatch a spot in my year-end countdown. I am lowkey hoping that this would become a single but I see that the chances of it becoming one is so small. The nice thing about This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things is that it shows that sometimes, dissing people can be a fun activity to do. 47. CASTLE ON THE HILL, Ed Sheeran Though this song seems like a leftover of every Ed Sheeran album, this is one of my Ed song. I love how the story telling tool used in this song and it really makes me reminisce my past memories. 46. WILD THOUGHTS, DJ Khaled Another one! DJ Khaled! xD This is a bop!!! Rihanna slayed me once again with this song! The style she used in singing her parts really impresses me. And the production of this song, DJ Khaled really did a good job in this. I usually dance to this song and think about Wild Thoughts. Edited December 14, 2017 by TayDine1989
TayDine1989 Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 (edited) 45. THE CURE, Lady Gaga Well, it would be impossible for this ATRL-favorite to snatch spot in my year-end chart. This song is not too bad and not too good - it's an average song for me. It's cool that Gaga has ventured the softer side of pop, as seen in this song and her latest album Joanne, but I really miss the old EDM/Pop Gaga. I wish the old version of her would come back cause that was a bop! 44. SCARED TO BE LONELY, Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa This is my new pop girl right here guys. Dua Lipa has her own soul-like sound and it really matches the theme of the song. Her delivery is great plus the overall production of the song really made it as one of the best pop songs of the year. 43. BETTER MAN, Little Big Town Another country classic for me written by my own queen. I really love the lyrics, it made me reminisce how old Taylor was and I can really see the references in here - her iconic back of my hand line that she always use in her songs. This really makes me so emotional. Little Big Town once slayed me with Girl Crush and they definitely slayed me once again with this. I really hope for another Taylor and LBT collaboration. 42. POWER, Little Mix Oh My God at the vocals in this song. Like Oh My God. My wig flew when I first heard this. Little Mix is definitely the biggest pop girl in the world and this song is one of the reasons why. I wish they'd embrace other genres/sounds in their next album cause girl, these girls have talents! 41. SWISH SWISH, Katy Perry Swish swish bish! Another year end entry for Katy Perry on her flop era! I love the production but I wish the lyrics were a little more better than what it is now but overall, this is a good diss track. I really love this actually! It is Witness' best track for me. This song was super great until that messy video came out. Gosh. Tragic. Edited December 14, 2017 by TayDine1989

sumthintoxic82 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Chained to the Rhythm was weak for me at first, but it has slowly grown on me Believer The Cure
Pedro Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Happy to see Katy twice . "Power" ruined it for me on this Little Mix era. "Shout Out..." was hideous but they made up with Touch and NMSS but "Power" brought back the sonority I hate from them
TayDine1989 Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 (edited) 40. FEELS, Calvin Harris I freaking love this! This brings me 80's vibe with me walking in the beach during sunset. This has been Katy Perry's best song released this year (yes, her Witness tracks seem to be below than this one). I love Pharrel's verses - it's cool and iconic! I hate Calvin for messing up Taylor's life but this dude just made me fall in love again with him with this song right here! 39. ATTENTION, Charlie Puth My darling once again got my attention with Attention. The sexiness of Charlie's voice, oh my gosh I cannot take this anymore. I thought Charlie would end up as a one-hit wonder but here he is, proving that he's not. 38. GETAWAY CAR, Taylor Swift Well, would my most favorite reputation track miss my own year-end countdown? Imagine if this was released earlier, this would've definitely topped every chart I'd post. It's currently sitting on the top spot of my weekly countdown and this song is not slowing down till it's finally released as an official single. Come on, you gotta love the imagery of this song. And the lyrics - my favorite lyrics is in my sig fyi. The climatic bridge slayed me. The outro slayed me again too. Gosh, this song is just perfect 37. NO PROMISES, Cheat Codes I like this too. A medium bop for me. I love the production and it's quite catchy. I'm just not a fan of Demi though. This song is very good at times but can be irritating sometimes too. It had a nice run on my playlist but overall, I must say that I think I'd forget about this one when 2018 comes. 36. FETISH, Selena Gomez SELENA!!! I love her this era! This is just so good! I love that she makes her sound change every era she makes. This song really makes me horny feel sexy sometimes and I sexy dance to this too. I am excited for her album! TayDine1989 Posted December 15, 2017 Author Posted December 15, 2017 (edited) 35.BLACK WIDOW, Iggy Azalea I can't believe a 2014 song would be included in my year-end list. But damn, the verses of this song are on point! Iggy's rappig abilities are on point! The chorus is on point! And the music video too! Who wouldn't be in love with this rap gem huh?? 34. GREEDY, Ariana Grande I just recently listed to Dangerous Woman in full and this song really is one of the standout tracks in the album. Ariana's vocals prove that she's just not a pretty face but she's also TALENT. I'm excited for her next album. I know it's gonna be good! 33. DAHIL SA'YO, Inigo Pascual The lone Filipino song inside my year-end list is the best performing OPM song in the Philippines! Well, most of the hype of this song came from Weightlifting Fairy: Kim Bok Joo's premiere on Philippines TV though (cause Dahil Sa'yo is used as the official theme song of the said K-drama). But overall, this is a cool song! 32. PERFECT, Ed Sheeran I once said to my friend that I'm gonna use this song as my wedding song cause it really is romantic and emotional. This is like Thinking Out Loud and Ed really pulled through this era. He had plenty of sad and iconic songs on the album and this is definitely the best of all of them. I love the remix too! 31. JUST HOLD ON, Steve Aoki & Louis Tomlinson I loved Louis because of this song. I really love his charming song. This song gives me chill and it's just so good. Hope it charted higher but based on my overall number of plays, it's just #31. But you know what, I'll forever remember this song. Edited December 15, 2017 by TayDine1989
