lhdang2000 Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 I still think Witness is a good album, it's just not enough to live up the hype for Katy.
305 Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 #19 Shakira This bitch has been killing it for 20+ years and is STILL getting the hits. I love her new album and it's just amazing to me that this day and age of streaming she can still put up a fight against all the new streaming artists. #18 Bebe Rexha I've followed her since 2015 and I'm glad that she finally is starting to get the recognition that she deserves. Her two EP's were played so much by me this year (especially Part 1) and she's contributed to countless amazing features. #17 Justin Bieber He's had a huge 2017 without even releasing an album. He is now tied with having the longest #1 of all time with Despacito which I really enjoyed. I didn't like him much before but he is definitely growing on me, what can I say he makes good music.
Remmy Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 All 3 of them are okay, they put out a cute song once in a while
305 Posted December 24, 2017 Author Posted December 24, 2017 #25 Whatever It Takes- Imagine Dragons One of their best songs ever imo #24 Unforgettable- French Montana ft. Sway Lee How could you not love this song? It always makes any occasion a good time, #23 Bodak Yellow- Cardi B THE bad bitch song of the year. #22 Kesha- Learn To Let Go Amazing song, I love it so much. The message is everything #21 Sober- Lorde Such a crazy, unique song. The production makes it sound so epic, almost like an anthem. One of many songs in which Lorde DID THAT.
Remmy Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Whatever It Takes Learn to Let Go Sober Love love love these 3 whew
305 Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 #20 I Miss You- Clean Bandit ft. Julia Michaels Their best song #19 Bounce Back- Big Sean Ever feeling down? Put this jam on. #18 Rake It Up- Yo Gotti ft. Nicki Minaj WHEW what a BOP! The ultimate ratchet song and Nicki's verse is ICONIC #17 Tell Me You Love Me- Demi Lovato The third Demi song I have in the top 40. She DID THAT!! #16 Perro Fiel- Shakira ft. Nicky Jam This chorus is orgasmic! Such a cute love song that you can dance to
305 Posted December 28, 2017 Author Posted December 28, 2017 #16 Cardi B She had an amazing year and it feels great that there is another female rapper in the game #15 Bruno Mars Bruno also had a great year with a lot of hits and an extremely successful tour. A King #14 Khalid It took me a while before I listened to Location but I was shook at how good it was. Then I listened to his album and damn this kid is talented! He also collabed with my fave Lorde
305 Posted December 28, 2017 Author Posted December 28, 2017 Disappointing Albums of 2017, continued 4. Fifth Harmony- Fifth Harmony Although I don't think the album as a whole is bad, I think the lack of growth and musical diversity especially after the loss of a member makes it disappointing for me. I really expected a strong comeback from them and all they delivered was a watered down Work from Home with a bad music video. I'm not sure whether or not they could survive another era. - 3. So Good- Zara Larsson I feel like Zara had a lot of potential and had things going for her, but lack of promo hindered the era and all but one of the singles flopped in the US. I at least expected a better album than what we got though, the album is not "so good" and I hope that next era will go better for her as she has the attitude and look of a main pop girl.
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 28, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 28, 2017 I Miss you stanning. here for it. I loved so good though. It wasn't put together well but there are some good tracks
Pedro Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 i am so happy for the Shakira praise but I love 5H3 so much! I can't believe people didn't like it overall
lhdang2000 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Yeah, based from the singles, I would've expected Zara to release a top 5 album of the year, but the result was rather disappointing. It's still okay and catchy, but yeah, also disappointing.
305 Posted January 2, 2018 Author Posted January 2, 2018 #13 Tove Lo Tove delivered one of the best albums of 2017. Her consistency is amazing, and I hope that the GP can embrace her once again. #12 Taylor Swift She finally came out of hiding and dropped one of the biggest pop culture moments of 2017 with 'Look What You Made Me Do'. She then opened with over a million unites for the fourth time with 'reputation' which is a spectacular album. #11 Ariana Grande Ariana definitely had a hard year, as the terrorist attack at her concert left 22 people dead. It made me admire her to see her be so strong and being able to help the victims families.
305 Posted January 3, 2018 Author Posted January 3, 2018 THE Most Disappointing Albums of 2017 2. Grateful- DJ Khaled Does this monstrosity really need any explanation? - 1. Younger Now- Miley Cyrus What can I say, this was such a DISAPPOINTMENT. The era started off very promising with Malibu, and continued with Younger Now/Week Without You. Upon first listen, I was shocked and I mean shocked at how bad this album was. This was the same girl that gave us Bangerz?! And it is NOT because it's country because Rainbow slays and Joanne did its thing, but Younger Now goes absolutely no where. You would think that a Southern girl like Miley could pull this off, but she didn't. I really hope she can come back from this.
lhdang2000 Posted January 3, 2018 Posted January 3, 2018 The Elvis gimmick kinda kills Miley. Beside Thinkin' and Malibu, I can't find any song that I like. Ariana and Taylor did have a great year.
305 Posted January 11, 2018 Author Posted January 11, 2018 #10 Maluma Papi This was his biggest year yet as he got a huge global smash with Chantaje, and my personal favorite 'Felices los 4'. I see 2018 being a big year for him #9 Big Sean I never really listened to him before, but 'I Decided' became one of my most listened to albums of the year. I love the topics he writes about and he is actually a very talented rapper #8 Selena Gomez My girl has been through so much this year, even to the point of almost losing her life. Things got better as she won Woman of the Year, and released some of the best songs of her career. 2018 will be great for her #7 Camila Cabello This girl proved everybody wrong and that is partly the reason why she is so high on my list. The fact that she used to sit next to me in Spanish class and is now a full blown popstar still blows my mind! I'm so proud of everything she's accomplished and I can't wait for everything else she has left to prove. #6 SZA SZA is very unique in the landscape of today's music and that is why I like her so much. She is different and brings an edge to music. CTRL is a fantastic debut and she is stunning.
lhdang2000 Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 Wait you were in the same class with Camila? Is she nice outside? Selena has been through tough times this year, but I feel like she needs it. Somehow it helps her to collect all the good and bad fans who choose to stay beside her.
