best of Mr.Link's Best of 2017 [#10 - #01]

MR.LINK'S BEST OF 2017

 

Ok this will be extra rushed because I literally have no time for this and our staff has kindly decided to surprise release the Best Of section (Bey ha impacT) so I didn't even prepare anything, so don't expect any fancy graphics or anything (not that I ever had them).

 

So 2017 was the worst year of this decade so far in terms of music. Streaming has ruined the mainstream with overnight unknown "hits" and the viral factor always in the equiation, and to make things worse we have untalented latin artists crossing over so yeah there's that. Anyway I managed to build a list of 100 songs that I will be presenting in sets of 10. So without further ado here's the first set.

Interesting that you thought 2017 was that bad, because I found more quality music this year than I have found in, seemingly, a decade. Maybe it's just a matter of me looking out for more quality, but the fact that I was able to do a top 40 albums list speaks volumes about how much I preferred this year to last year. And "Little Dark Age" is great.

It's a great song and under different, long black haired, circumstances it'd have been a smash. That dancing backpack kid's dance has like legitimately gone viral though. Hot straights at my gym were trying to do it the other day. Katy won (culturally). She really does set trends.

Maybe I should start listening to a few albums, this year I barely had the time. I'll make sure to read your recommendations.

Not quite. IFIC is way up high in this countdown but the album itself was nowhere near as good as his previous one.
