I regret not including it in the list because I feel it would've done better than some albums i've rated but I cutoff at 30 and I didn't want to swap any of the albums for it it's incredible though so I couldn't not have it a HM

30. MILEY CYRUS - YOUNGER NOW
This is...very bad. I really enjoyed Bangerz and I really wanted to love this, but.. it's just awful. And it's not like i'm not open to that kind of music because Joanne was at the top of my list last year, and Rainbow is...around there  this year, but this is just poor  

 

 

 

 

 

29. CASHMERE CAT - 9

kinda just came out of no where...no one expected it...no one asked for it... it's got some bops but generally full of filler and a pretty poor attempt at a debut when so many of his productions have been great so far. A shame.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

28. NELLY FURTADO - THE RIDE

i didn't really expect much from this either but it's not really that good. i was never a big stan but i've enjoyed some of her music over the years so this is just...meh  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

27. ANGEL OLSEN - PHASES

in all fairness, this is a compilation of demos from 2012-2017, but My Woman was one of my favourite albums of 2016 so I had really high expectations for this.. but it just fell flat. Some tracks are better than others of course but for demos, some don't even sound like her..

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

27. RUPAUL - AMERICAN

Whilst ha albums have only been getting worse and worse, this is...okay? It's not the best but it's a million times better than "Butch Queen" so that's that... it kinda bops but it's nothing too special. The album cover is great but that font is unforgivable..

I thought about that & replacing some with some I put in HMs, but then again they were still albums I listened to in 2017 so it was only fair
