TheWayWeWere Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 YN era was great at begging, but ends up as disaster tbh album is not awful, but it all felt under Malibu and YN (song), I found only WWY is on par with them The Valley is low-key pop masterpiece
bestfiction Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 I kinda agree on YN, she's so messy with those interviews. like sis what's done is done, chill also yay at Nervous System in the list of the best EPs it's a lot of fun indeed
Navyofbadgals Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Glasshouse, Like A Woman and Fifth Harmony I never heard of this Ella Vos, but that album cover lemme take a listen soon
Maddox Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 The IT Crowd What an iconic show Stranger Things and BLL were very enjoyable too! No comment on Kimmy/AHS/Big Mouth
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 29, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2017 When I Was Young Only recently listened to NTtLiF for the first time recently but I actually liked it a lot Glasshouse the first sentence is pretty much how I felt before it grew on me Younger Now was... hm...
Lazuli Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Glasshouse Totally get what you're saying tho but anything that comes out from her mouth is quality

TayRianaPH Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Younger Now is quite cool ! 5H! That album is good! comment on mine too

ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 30, 2017 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 30, 2017 29 - 32 32. Kehlani - Sweetsexysavage (rnb) This really grew on me with time but like it’s too long so it was hard to really identify the stand outs initially. Sadly the era ended abruptly but she won me over with this. I really like the throwback vibes. It sounds derivative at times but you can tell she has her own identity and that shows Faves: Thank You, Not Used To It, Distraction 31. Cashmere Cat - 9 (electronic) This is more like a compilation of tracks than an album but it had great moments for me especially the more pop tracks. Didn’t care for the urban tracks at all. I wish the songs were as personal as 9 (after coachella) but still a cute debut. Faves: 9 (after coachella), Quit, Plz Don’t Go 30. London Grammar - Truth is a Beautiful Thing (dream- pop) A real sophomore slump for me but I expected that. I really don’t think they can top their debut but this is a nice progression nevertheless. I’ve always loved the lead singer’s vocals and they were still the highlight of this record. Faves: Who Am I, Rooting For You, Big Picture 29. Charli XCX - Number 1 Angel (pop) Pop perfection but my main criticism of Charli’s releases this year is that they age badly but I still loved this a lot when it was out initially and we’ll definitely be seeing her better sister pop 2 on my list next year. Also her collabs with cupcakke are everything. Faves: 3 AM (Pull up), Roll With Me, Lipgloss
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 30, 2017 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 30, 2017 25 - 28 28. Allie X - Collxtion II (pop) Another case of pop perfection that just didn’t age as well. I kinda miss the dark vibes of Collxtion I but this is still a great record cuz there are some real bops on this. Faves: Paper Love, Casanova, Lifted 27. St. Vincent - Masseduction (alternative) Honestly this is more like a pop album but I really enjoyed it nevertheless. Only other St. Vincent album I’ve gotten into was her self titled. Love the production on a lot of these particularly. Faves: Los Ageless, Pills, Masseduction 26. Rachel Platten - Waves (pop) Such an unexpected great album from Rachel. There are actual bops on this. I like how she’s embracing a more pop sound but you can tell it’s still the same fight song gurl. Faves: Collide, Shivers, Perfect For You 25. Jhene Aiko - Trip (rnb) This was honestly too long (the freestyles were lowkey not needed and some tracks were too long) but as a whole it’s still such a beautiful record. Felt really honest as well and the concept was a slay Faves: While We’re Young, Sativa, Overstimulated

ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 31, 2017 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 31, 2017 21 -24 24. Sabrina Claudio - About Time (rnb) I'm calling this her debut album. Love the growth in her sound in just a year so I'm really excited to see her grow Faves: Unravel Me, Belong To You, Frozen 23. Taylor Swift - Reputation (pop) This ain't for the best My reputation's never been worse, so You must like me for me… Those lines made me like the album so much more Faves: Don't Blame Me, Delicate, King of My Heart 22. HAIM - Something to Tell You (indie-pop) A sophomore slump but still a great record. Love the production particularly. The lyrics felt a little empty though Faves: Walking Away, Want You Back, Nothing's Wrong 21. Fergie - Double Dutchess (pop) I legitimately loved this dated album Faves: You Already Know, Enchante, Tension
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 31, 2017 Author ATRL Moderator Posted December 31, 2017 17 - 20 20. Halsey - Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (pop, rnb) The concept was kinda random but I loved this so much Faves. 100 Letters, Bad at Love, Hopeless 19. Muna - About U (pop) Hello queer pop excellence Faves: I Know A Place, Winterbreak, Promise 18. Katy Perry - Witness (pop) I really loved the production on this and the cringe lyrics were hilarious Faves: Witness, Mind Maze, Pendulum 17. Zara Larrson - So Good (pop) kinda underrated on here but I loved her album a lot and really overplayed it when it came out Faves: Don't Let Me Be Yours, What They Say, TG4M
