Ghostlysnaker Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I'm not into choreographies actually. Talking about songs I like "Look What You Made Me Do" and of course one of my favorites this year "What About Us"
Ivan Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Havana is amazing, I lovex her in the EMA performance, just iconic

TheWayWeWere Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 AMA's The Cure one of the best perf on that award all WAU perfromances are kinda boring, but I like dance break on VMA Anne-Marie love all her perf not LWYMMD it slays in studio, but performances wise...
Navyofbadgals Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 great #1 I don't think the LWYMMD choreo is really good.. OR it doesn't really fit Taylor, and it shows
Playa Playa Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Great list idea. Introducing to me a lot of cool choreo but I already knew 5H slayed

Pedro Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) Those were some of my favorite moves of the year. It's time to switch into stronger categories that Pop fans certainly love. It's time to know some of my favorite videos of 2017. I guess my point of choreography not being a thing on ATRL was indeed true. A lot of you weren't fascinated by the countdown yet I am glad a few appreciated the effort and the little introduction to the choreography world. Leaving behind the secondary categories, we are now moving on the videos of the year. There was a handful of really strong music videos released during 2017 but overall the year lacked effort in this department, at least in the Pop industry. Let's take a look into the first part and also introduce you to the first three best non-english/spanish songs of the year. Director: Andrew Donoho | Views: 5,000,000 It isn't exactly a strong concept. In fact, it comes off as a bit cliché yet her looks, fierceness and sensuality transcend me and make the whole video irresistible. The house burning is also a highlight as it can serve as women empowerment on showing who's the boss. You know what they say, "you never know what you got until it's gone" and that guy surely wasn't appreciating Tinashe enough. Director: Jack Patterson | Views: 36,500,000 Similarly to "Flames", the video for "I Miss You" isn't a showstopper yet the sets and the special effects make it so attractive and unique. I love how throughout the video Julia Michaels keeps on getting off and in set while the different scenarios follow. I also truly love the landscapes presented in the video along with the girls styling that make it quite unique. Director: Jaume De Laiguana | Views: 364,000,000 The first time I watched the video for "Perro Fiel", I have to admit I was disappointed. The previews and the hype for the video by Shakira and by her team, made me anticipate it so much just to be a "looks" video... Which I ended up accepting. Just like every artist has their family, Shakira has her crew family and she always relies on Jaume De Laiguana for directing her music videos which can be good or bad. In "Perro Fiel" I would say he did a good job as Shakira truly served looks in every single set. The red rubber outfit always drives me crazy and the golden scene serves beauty at its best. Director: Joseph Kahn | Views: 117,000,000 I actually didn't know Joseph Kahn was in charge of "What Lovers Do" music video but that kind of explains why I truly liked this music video. I love how the music video feeling is very similar to what the song gives to you: it is smooth, fresh and easy to watch. Adam Levine and SZA also share some kind of chemistry that make you want to continue watching it. On top of that, I love a video with a story line and a lot of different (good) sets! Director: Basak Erol | Views: 103,000,000 The music video for "Ciao Adios" reminds me so much of Major Lazer's "Lean On". The visuals and the Marrakech influences are truly something and I love Anne-Marie's fashion sense in the majority of the video (I am a freak for yellow so, there you go). As you may have also noticed, I love when choreography is encorporated in a music video and Anne-Marie (literally) did that! Let's press pause in the videos and focus a little in music... That is not sung in English or in Spanish. During this first set, I will be presenting you my 5th, 4th and 3rd favorite non-english/spanish songs. Be inspired! Spoiler 05. Elhaida Dani - "Më Mbaj" (sung in Albanian) Elhaida Dani has become one of my favorite Eurovision singers of all time ever since her 2015 entry "I'm Alive". With this being said, I have been following her and during 2017, she released her very first single since that same year she joined Eurovision. In all honesty, I don't know what she is singing about in "Më Mbaj" as I speak no Albanian, yet the feeling this song portrays make it more special than simple words. It sounds deep, emotional and heavy. On top of that, the song features traditional elements that take it to a whole new level. 04. Deolinda Kinzimba - "O Que Eu Vi Nos Meus Sonhos" (sung in Portuguese) Deolinda Kinzimba was the very first winner of Portugal's The Voice and this year she was one of the invited singers to represent Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest. Luckily, she didn't win the national selection - as we ended up winning the entire contest with Salvador Sobral's "Amar Pelos Dois". Nonetheless, it's impossible to ignore this beautiful song. The studio version's production along with Deolinda's powerful vocals make it such a good song. "O Que Eu Vi Nos Meus Sonhos" is a love song that focus on the positive side of a relationship... Unlike so many other songs. 03. Francesco Gabbani - "Occidentali's Karma" (sung in Italian) This year's Italian entry was the main favorite to win the Eurovision Song Contest but (luckily) Portugal ended up winning. Not only Francesco is easy on the eye but his song and unique tone are easy in the ear. In the song, Francesco talks about how the Western world tried to imitate the Eastern side by using irony and sarcasm. Despite the lyric content, the song is just so uplifting and easy to sing along that even a Chinese people would be trying their best to learn these Italian lyrics! Director: Dave Meyers | Views: 12,000,000 I was not mentally prepared for such a slayage coming from Kelly Clarkson giving her music videos history and her past eras but the original American Idol came back with literally everything. I love how unique this video truly is and how it actually represents the song itself as there's nothing alike sonically at the moment. She looks amazing and extremely fierce. The special effects during the video are quite awesome as well. It's too bad the video wasn't well received, or better, not noticed by the general public. Director: Director X & Paris Goebel | Views: 225,000,000 If a while ago, someone had told me I would be including Little Mix in my Best Of 2017 (no matter the theme), I wouldn't have believed it. Truth is, I really dislike the majority of their music (and visuals) but "Touch" served Pop and looks and as a loyal Pop fan, I couldn't resist to such a catchy tune. The video is extremely colourful and it also catches your attention. I have to say, though, I always giggle during the final choreography... I don't think I have to say in which part, do I? Director: Jonas Åkerlund | Views: 809,000 "A Little Work" is truly a piece of art. The visuals are unexpected, out of the box and unique. The story line is touching, deep and real. The elements are all there but I am afraid there was too much tell in just a single video and that has hurt the overall product hence why they had to release a four minute long version of it. Nonetheless, the effort, dedication and detail is undeniably good. Director: Nick Florez & RJ Durell | Views: 38,000,000 P!nk is very aware on what she has to do in order to catch the public attention and I am surprised to see that "Beautiful Trauma" is really not doing it for her despite of its "going viral" intentions. The video style reminds me of last year's Jennifer Lopez "Ain't Your Mama" but it isn't as good. It is funny, well directed and quite versatile. It is also quite ambitious as it features Channing Tatum and scenes of bondage. While enjoyable to watch, I am still questioning myself why the GP didn't receive this the way they received the boring "What About Us". Director: Unknown | Views: 52,000,000 It has been a while since I last saw Selena Gomez looking and acting sexy but she is back at it in "Wolves". The way she is feeling herself in the shower scene or while she is walking down that corridor with a huge cleavage really does wonders for men (even if gay). The darkness of the video does match the song's mood and it truly is a video that becomes worth watching solely for the visuals of the main artist. Remmy Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Flame has an alright video. I hated the one for What Lovers Do, the editing was weird and it was too silly for my taste. Love So Soft had some great moments Beautiful Trauma is my favorite of the bunch, this and WAU are both solid.
Kavish Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Love So Soft is eye candy. I liked Fergie's videos even if the songs didn't really do much for me.
prézli Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Love So Soft A Little Work is Fergie's worst on the visual album.
Mark Rih Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) The graphics are amazing all of the videos in the #20-#11 are good/cute, nothing great imo tho. Top 10 will be great Edited December 18, 2017 by Mark Rih
