moonlight. Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 hey y'all! this is my first time ever doing any kind of Best Of so if this ends up being a mess or going wrong (with me in charge, it's bound to happen) then im warning you now. i truly love music & these past few years have been an, awakening, so to speak. i've gave genres & artists i never thought i would like a chance that ended up succeeding, discovering k-pop in early 2016, & alot more that i would love to share with you guys. i love finding new music to listen to & what everybody else is obsessed with so why not let y'all see what i'm been in love with the whole year? the real struggle is going to be only choosing such a limited amount of songs snce i have a tendency of loving, ALOT, of music lol. so hopefully y'all find this as interesting as i will. here's is what im gonna be covering this year: singles are what grabs your attention to an artist & an album, so here will be some of my 100 most favorite singles (+ songs from albums also) of the year. with this countdown, each artist will have a limit of 3 entrees (that way it'll be fair for everyone). there's definitely gonna be the best songs to most, but to me, these are some of my all time favorites i'll never get tired of. this will be my top 100 favorite k-pop songs from the year. this genre is what i mostly listen to nowadays & this year has truly been, what i feel like, it's peak in so many ways. from era concepts to live performances to just the quality of songs, everybody from groups to smaller, indie artists have delivered. i'm so excited to list some of my favorite gems listening to an album should be an experience. it could be either a great one, a good one, an ehh one, or just 'what the f*ck is this' one. but the 50 albums listed here are albums that i've stayed playing all year & i truly think are wonderful albums i'm glad exist. like my singles list, there will be a k-pop version of this list also & finally, we have the good oll' MV category. in the past few years, many artists have decided to either not release videos for their songs or just half-ass anything. so i think highlighting great music videos should always be a thing because not only does it represent an artist truly pouring their creativity, it also shows how much they care about the songs & era as a whole. so here will be my top 20 best MVs of the year. i honestly don't have a true set schedule for this so i'm kinda go wing it & see where it goes lol. let the celebration of music, begin!
moonlight. Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 i think ima start this tomorrow. tomorrow will be 100-90 western & kpop songs, the day after then 50-40 albums, then once those are done i'll start counting down music videos. let's hope this all goes smoothly & thank y'all for replying. i've been so on/off ATRL the past few months but will try to be on here more often lol

moonlight. Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 100-91 100 OMG Camila Cabello i can't stand #her & this is the only song by #her that's gonna appear on this list. i remember when i first heard it, i truly thought it was a joke. trying to rap like Quavo & putting on some persona just was laughable. but a couple weeks ago, the chorus got STUCK in my head & i haven't been able to get it out since. this is a try hard, messy, & unnecessary.... bop. i'll give #her this. but that's it. 99 Gucci Gang Lil Pump GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG GUCCI GANG! 98 Let Me Rock Marc E. Bassy Marc E. Bassy really blew up this year thanks to 'Plot Twist' & while that was a cute lil song, this album really provided some gems & this being one of them. it's chill, a bit funky mixed with pop r&b & it works. you can easily play this when your just driving or just chillen with your #5 side hoe, you won't regret giving this a listen. 97 Personal Terror Jr i know absolutely NOTHING about Terror Jr but one thing i do know, is that they made a good & entertaining pop song. the alternative/ilush production alongside a catchy & relatable hook makes it irresistible. it's straight to the point, chill, & fun. what more could you ask for? 96 Touch Little Mix while i'm not a huge Little Mix stan, or well, barely even a fan, i know a wonderful pop song when i hear one. this is easily in their top 5 best singles to date. it's fun, flirty, & just embodies some of the qualities that makes me love pop music. Jade & Leigh-Anne continue to steal the show (& my heart) & i'll never get tired of this song. got damn it, they did that. 95 Small Doses Bebe Rexha Bebe Rexha is a very, interesting pop singer. from her dragging fake bitches on Instagram Live to somehow getting a country hit with Florida Georgia Line, she definitely does the unexpected. & one of the most unexpected things she did this year was release one of my favorite songs of the year. her vocal delivery is sharp & the production on the song is chill, but it takes you there at the same time. i never payed much attention to her before, but this made me take notice. keep it up Bebe. 94 Sweet Dreams BØRNS i remember BØRNS mostly because of the fun (but lowkey) annoying 'Electric Love'. i never payed much attention to him since, until i stumbled upon this smooth, rich, & lovely night time anthem. his voice feels like velvet & the way he sings the chorus is honestly, pretty damn sexy. this didn't just make me into a casual fan, but im excited for his upcoming album. 93 LOVE. Kendrick Lamar ft. Zacari this is hands down my favorite Kendrick song ever, right alongside 'Humble'. but this, this is how i wish every Kendrick song sounded like. it's relaxing but still interesting. the addictive beat, Kendrick's relaxed but effortless raps, & Zacari's fantastic vocals just make this a true highlight off a really interesting album. DAMN., indeed. 92 I Miss You Grey ft. Bahari while im sure alot of people dont care for more electronic/house sounding songs, this one caught me by surprise. firstly, it wasn't a huge hit which it deserved to be. secondly, the chorus & beat drop are delicious. Bahari does a great job of delivering nice vocals but the production here is what truly makes this song great. from the hints of guitar & other instruments make this more than just an electronic song, there's something underneath that sticks. idk, i just love this song okay 91 What If Tokio Hotel i remember hearing about Tokio Hotel years ago, but it was stumbling upon this song after a brief visit on some band website that had me stunned. this is a got damn BANGER. the 80's influences mixed with that magnificent electric guitar/electronic/slight The 1975 filled chorus just makes this truly brilliant. this song is a career highlight, i can't praise this enough Spoiler
moonlight. Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 k-pop singles 100-91 will come later tonight most likely ~
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 13, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 13, 2017 My fave issssss Love from this. Excited to see mini-meltdowns over #99.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 There's parts of Love that I like (Zacari doesn't do it for me tbh). And i'm actually okay with Gucci's spot.
