Playa Playa Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Look @ Netflix snatching. Stranger Things & Dear White People are two of their best. I actually liked the latter more than the film. The Handmaid's Tale is a good #1 pick.

Jet Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 #10 THOR RAGNAROK RATING - 7.9 Quote Taking the previous two Thor installments into consideration, this one was a big step in the right direction. However it still has its flaws that almost every Marvel film has - relying to heavily on comedy, useless side characters and an underdeveloped villain that serves no real purpose. If you're a comic book geek like myself you'll probably really enjoy this one though. #9 JUSTICE LEAGUE RATING - 8.1 Quote I might get flack for this one but I stand by my decision solely because as a long time Justice League fan, this movie delivered in many ways. It fell flat in many ways too - horrible pacing, horrible villain, horrible CGI. I appreciate this film for what it attempted to be. Unfortunately a lot of behind the scenes drama hurt the movie in more ways than one. #8 GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 RATING - 8.3 Quote The original Guardians remains one of my favorite films of the decade and one of the top 3 movies put out by Marvel. Having those expectations going into its successor I was very disappointed with the turn out. While it's still a good movie it again tries way too hard to be funny and the plot is pretty lame. - #6 & #7 COMING LATER TODAY -
rvx Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 3/3 - Like your movie set It's a superhero smorgasbord!
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 17, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 17, 2017 Waiting for the next set too
Jet Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 #7 LOGAN RATING - 9.1 Quote This is easily the best X-Men/Wolverine movie released to date which seems appropriate as it is the last time we'll see Wolverine on the big screen. I'm rooting for an X-23 follow-up now that the torch has been low key passed. #6 GET OUT RATING - 9.2 Quote This movie is basically every genre - comedy, thriller, horror and action mixed together in one film. I don't think I've ever seen a movie quite like it. It has so many twists and turns and the further you get into the movie, the darker and more intense it gets. - #5-1 TOP 10 MOVIES COMING TOMORROW -
Remmy Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Guardians Vol 2 Didn't expect it to be better than the original. Waiting for Ragnarok to get online so I can finally watch. I'm actually interested in Get Out, I just wish there was no horror involved because I'm a puss.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Jusice League was not that bad actually, as many points Get Out and Logan are one of my favorites this year
Ghostlysnaker Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) Thank god OITNB got better. Stranger Things didn't disappoint but I like Season 1 more. We have similar taste in movies 5/5 so far Edited December 18, 2017 by Ghostlysnaker
Jet Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 #5 HIDDEN FIGURES RATING - 9.2 Quote I really loved this one and that's saying something because I'm not usually into historical types of movies but this one was great. The 3 leading ladies all did so well in the acting department, I was dissapointed when only Octavia got the Oscar nom. #4 ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY RATING - 9.5 Quote I've probably watched this movie 5 times in the last year. Up until The Last Jedi, this was my favorite Star Wars film to date. The visuals are astounding, and I love how it makes it seem like there is gray area between the good and bad sides. The ending brings the entire franchise full circle as well. If you haven't seen this one you really should. - TOP 3 MOVIES COMING LATER TODAY -
Navyofbadgals Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Get Out and Logan I have yet to see Star Wars Rogue One and I hate myself for it will go see the new SW this friday tho
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 18, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2017 I'd love to watch Hidden Figures
TheWayWeWere Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Hidden Figures is incredible eh, I just rewatched all Star Wars not so long ago, and tbh I only liked 4-5-6 episodes
Jet Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 #3 WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES RATING - 9.5 Quote Dawn of the planet of the apes was such a huge milestone for the franchise that I didn't think it possible to top but War truly did that. The way the villain is handled is so great and the way the plot resolves is not something you would expect from a movie of this size. A very solid and fitting finale to an already amazing trilogy. #2 STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI RATING - 9.6 Quote Like I hinted at earlier, this is easily the best Star Wars installment to date surpassing all expectations and adding new depth to the franchise that I didn't know was missing. I love how this movie really shows just how similar Kylo Ren and Rey are and at one point is is difficult to tell which character might change sides. I also really love Rose's character and can't wait to see more of her in the future. #1 WONDER WOMAN RATING - 9.7 Quote This is my favorite movie of the decade thus far. As a long time Wonder Woman stan, this movie was everything a live adaptation of a comic book superhero movie should be. It's deep when it needs to be, funny without trying too hard and is amazingly progressive. Gal embodies everything Wonder Woman stands for. I've seen this movie 4 times since it's release and it just gets better everytime. This just might be the best superhero movie of all time. - TOP 10 ARTISTS COMING TOMORROW -
