gagacasanova Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Sober, Yeah Boy, Praying, The Cure v perched for the awards!
lhdang2000 Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 11/20 for top 20. You're Still The One is a pleasant surprise entry. 6/10 for top 10. I love Praying so much tho. Excited about the awards, something unique around here.
Mezik Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 Music Video of the Year Music Videos are more important than ever now for artists for getting their work recognized. Visuals bring the words to life, enhance the lyrics, and give a picture as to what is happening. When done correctly, you can feel every word, emotion and thought that songwriters are trying to evoke in their music. These six music videos did exactly that - here are the 2017 nominations for Music Video of the Year for the Mezik Music Awards. Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson - 'Symphony' The story in the music video made me cry, and really helped strengthen the song as a whole. As well, Zara looks gorgeous - on the stage singing for the composer who lost his boyfriend (story revolves around loss, and learning to love again). Overall it is simply a beautiful music video. Kenderick Lamar - 'HUMBLE.' The cinematography in the music video is absolutely stunning. A long with all the set changes, symbolism and costumers within the music video Kenderick really made an artistic statement with this music video and continues to prove why he is seen as one of the most poetic superstars in the game. Kesha - 'Praying' When this music video dropped, I thought I was watching a different artist. The whole theme around overcoming pain, forgiveness, and learning to live again all contribute to this music video being a pop staple. Especially in a year that pop girls were not on their A-games for music videos. Selena Gomez - 'Bad Liar' I think what I like about this music video best is that it's so creepy. From young Selena to being into the female teacher, to watching her dad have an affair with the female teacher, to the eerie scene where you realize the mom knows everything that goes on all contributes to a intriguing music video experience. Taylor Swift - 'Look What You Made Me Do' Taylor came out of no where and delivered A VIDEO. Throwing shade to the media for everything they call her, Taylor proved yet again why she is the most powerful person in the industry. She doesn't care what anyone thinks, and he strength lies in her willingness to joke around with how much she is scrutinized. Tim McGraw & Faith Hill - 'Speak to a Girl' This music video is pure sex. Yes, it might just be them standing their pretty but their emotion and passion for one another shines in their body language. You would think this is a commercial for a well-produced **** that is meant to evoke philosophical discussion about love rather than a quick snake squeeze.
Achilles. Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Screaming. Not Speak To A Girl. Praying and DOMO made your top 10.

Mezik Posted December 19, 2017 Author Posted December 19, 2017 Collaboration of the Year Collaborations are exciting because it often brings two different artists opposite music styles to create something completely new. It's amazing when two different styles create something beautiful, fresh, and innovative. These are the nominations for this years Mezik Music Awards for Collaboration of the Year. Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson - 'Symphony' Hailiee Steinfeld & Alesso feat. Florida Georgia Line & watt - 'Let Me Go' Migos, Cardi B & Nicki Minaj - 'Motorsport' French Montanna feat. Swae Lee - 'Unforgettable' Selena Gomez feat. Gucci Mane - 'Fetish' Tim McGraw & Faith Hill - 'Speak to a Girl'
Remmy Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Most Played - Top 10: Sober Witness + Let Me Love You Call Your Girlfriend + Dancing On My Own The Cure Symphony and Praying A pretty solid set to end the list on! Music Video of the Year - Nominees: Haven't watched Speak to a Girl, but the rest Rooting for HUMBLE. or LWYMMD Best Collaboration - Nominees: I enjoy Let Me Go and Fetish, but Symphony is the easy winner here. Or at least for me.
Achilles. Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Should’ve nominated The Rest Of Our Life instead. Rooting for Fetish, I guess.
rvx Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Symphony for Collaboration of the Year Praying for Music Video of the Year
Navyofbadgals Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 fun noms BL and HUMBLE. have my fav vids out of those
TheWayWeWere Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 whew, your taste Symphony is so beautiful Humble, Bad Liar, LWYMMD Praying vid is kinda..corny for me tbh Fetish, Motorsport in collabs list
Mark Rih Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 wait the noms are a cool idea rooting for Humble for best MV I'd be fine with one between Unforgettable / Symphony / Fetish winning best collab!
potent Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Humble deserves that best music video! I guess LWYMMD and Bad Liar could have it too despite disliking those artists Collaboration should easily be Symphony
Bubble Tea Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Woo lordT now THIS is what I call a Best of 2017 rate. I wanna comment on a few things. Praying: YAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This video blew me the **** away. First of all that love/god mountain thing setting is in the film Into the wild which I LOVE so there's that (which influences how I read into the video) but then just the fact that Kesha looks amazing, the video is so colourful and the song is SO powerful! She is truly a transformed artist - and it's nice that with Rainbow we saw that she still hasn't lost her her original point. Bad Liar: YAS! It is a creepy vid! And that's why it's amazing. I never knew Selena to be such an interesting visual artist. She really came through with this video and the Fetish video. Which leads me onto... Fetish: Holy moly lorde and sweet Jesus did Selena Legend (you know I wanted to write the nickname) come through with this song. I still play it every day! Legendary bop.
lhdang2000 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 I'm expecting LWYMMD or Symphony to win MV of the year. Symphony is the strongest contender for Collab of the Year too.
Jet Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 LWYMMD, Praying + Bad Liar a 1,2,3 punch Hopefully Fetish comes thru for best collab

Speak to a Girl isn't really a extravagant video, but Tim & Faith look gorgeous in it and they are so passionate about one another - it's a love I only wish I had. Symphony is an easy winner huh? I didn't like Zara until I heard that song, so who knows. 13 hours ago, Achilles. said: Should’ve nominated The Rest Of Our Life instead. Rooting for Fetish, I guess.
