fossora Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) #8 Harry Styles - Harry Styles Very surprising record for a 1 Direction member. Had some very strong higlights like SOTT, but had many fillers. There's definitely room for improvements. Favourites: Sign Of The Times / Sweet Creature / From the Dining Table #7 Charli XCX - Number 1 Angel Charli proves yet again that she's a pop genius that can make an album filled with pop bangers in just one week. Very impressive, but I'm looking forward to a more mature or serious material from her. Oh and thanks for the graphics sis. Favourites: 3AM (Pull Up) / Roll With Me / Lipgloss #6 Sevdaliza - Ison Glad that still somebody is making trip-hop music. However this album is lowkey disappointing to me considering her earlier projects. It has definitely some strong higlights but the album has so many fillers that it makes the album less impactful. Favourites: Hubris / Human / Grace #5 Katy Perry - Witness This is Katy's best album by far. She shows maturity and growth in this album. I like the production on this album the most. However Katy's lacking skills in songwriting are obvious and shown in this album that it only drags the album down, with that being said I think that this an improvement for Katy and I'm excited to see more. Favourites: Deja Vu / Roulette / Bigger Than Me Edited December 17, 2017 by artangel

elvenOCEAN Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 My thoughts exactly on Harry Styles. Number 1 Angel was disssapointing in my opinion, but there are some nice songs on it still. And finally, my thoughts exactly on Witness. I'd say that her lack of proper songwriting skills in some of the songs is even her advantage, but yes, for the most part it is distracting.
theblackestday Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Wow @ you copying my clickbait titles idea. I can Sue Me You.m4a
Meteora Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 witness putting 3am (delete it) as one of your faves is a crime. bottom 10 in her discog
Invisibility Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 The N1A highlights are on point The second half of ISON, the impact I don't like Grace that much but the other two are masterpieces
Vxspertine Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Ison It's definitely a flawed album but I still liked it a lot
fossora Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 #4-#1 Honorable mentions coming in one hour!
artangels Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 if plunge is not at least in your honorable mentions you are cancelled
fossora Posted December 17, 2017 Author Posted December 17, 2017 (edited) #4 Arca - Arca His best album to date. Incorporating his vocals into his album definitely made an improvement, glad that miss Björk did that. Favourites: Anoche / Reverie / Desafio #3 Fever Ray - Plunge Interesting album, though HIGLHY overrated. The thing I hate but at the same time love the most about this album is the quirkiness. Like on "To The Moon And Back" I love the quirky instrumental but when listening to the album that is the same amount of crazy or quirky with instrumentals and vocals you just become annoyed from it and that doesn't leave you a nice taste on your mouth after hearing the full thing. Favourites: IDK About You / This Country / To The Moon And Back #2 N.E.R.D - NO ONE EVER REALLY DIES The singles and promo singles are the absolute higlight here. So by the time the album came out I was expecting to be blown out judging on the singles. However that was not the case, with that being said it still a decent album with few funky bangers in it Favourites: Lemon / Don't Don't Do It / 1000 #1 Alice Glass - Alice Glass EP Never heared anything from Crystal Castles, so I didn't have any expectations for this EP. This EP definitely blew me away especially when Blood Oath came on, you can just feel her rage. A very good EP and I'm very excited what she will do next. Favourites: Without Love / Forgiveness / Blood Oath Edited December 17, 2017 by artangel

As for Ison it's not that much of an exciting album but it is a good listen. 3 hours ago, artangels said: charli only honorable mention? oh wow... Yeah I have the same thoughts on N1A as well. Idk how are her lack of songwriting skills an advantage on some songs but ok work. 3 hours ago, theblackestday said: Wow @ you copying my clickbait titles idea. Vxspertine Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 These honorable mentions I don't agree with Arca's self titled being his best album, I do think it's his most focused album though. The Fever Ray write-up was... interesting, although I don't completely disagree Alice's EP was very solid but Blood Oath wasn't
