5. Praying - Kesha

A song that was just objectively correct in the path Kesha should have taken in her career. The song stands tall as a powerful **** you to the one who has done her wrong. It's success is just the cherry on top. Message aside, it also is one of the most emotive and striking ballads ever by a pop girl, even if it is a little studio magic'd. Simply striking.

This song is so sensual  the breathy vocal, the simple assertive and effective "I would die for you.." Audio ART, literally giving up your breath for a person.

3. Imagining My Man - Aldous Harding

I played this song for my boyfriend and we did a sort of waltz to it, and honestly it was beautiful. I will forever remember it as one of the defining moments of our relationship. The soft piano contrasts her voice gorgeously. By far one of my favorite ballads.

Praying is such a powerful song. I'm moved every time.

top ten is starting really well! praying wasn't my fave from rainbow but i don't think anyone could deny that it's def one of the most important and timely songs of this year and, for that, it definitely deserves recognition. die 4 u was my fave from perfume genius' album too. also nice to see perfume genius in the top ten! where's the top two???
