I thot I was the only one who disliked the Lorde and St. Vincent’s albums ? even though Messeduction grew a bit in my, Melodrama (along with DAMN.) are some of the most overrated albums ever. Sorry not sorry. Gonna ignore the brackets but taste otherwise I genuinely tried to get Melodrama but just couldn't. 19 minutes ago, Marnie said: I agree with Calvin, I have loved EVERY album of his, this year was a mess...i guess because it was all urban and its my least favourite genre. TRF. Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I l*ke Melo a lot. even though I do agree it's a bit messy. But "The Louvre" one of your least faves when you put "Sober II" as one of your faves is lowkey... sus. I don't get why would you dislike 'Number 1 Angel' But yeah I agree with Mass being #1. although I think my biggest disappointment this year was by far Arcade Fire
Vilppu Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 this is the controversy I came here for I don't even know where to begin with this, listing HBJ and The Louvre as lowlights are probably the most criminal but to an extent, I agree on Calvin being underwhelming after the singles and I don't even need to listen to Whiter Now to know it sucks
Uncatena Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Number 1 Angel is indeed trash, so is Younger Now You know how I feel about Melodrama and Masseduction Never even listened to the Calvin album, I would waste my time
Escape Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Roll With Me & ILY2 were the only songs I used from N1A, not you listing one of them as your least fave... same with Melodrama, The Louvre was among my favorites.
Mark Rih Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Ugh no I love FWB but at least you stan for the singles Melodrama making the disappointments list I really don't get the praise for it, PH was MUCH better.
Bloodflowers. Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 you better drag Charli and Miley albums sis
Dom Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 younger now was a huge disappointment after malibu especially.

theblackestday Posted December 13, 2017 Author Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) Quote Paradise is a companion EP to last year's highly political Hopelessness, showcasing a more experimental approach with similar themes. I just wanted to give this a shoutout cause it gets a lot of hate, and while I'm not the biggest fan of it either, it's not far off from Hopelessness' level imo. favorite: Jesus Will Kill You, You Are My Enemy || least favorite: I Never Stopped Loving You Quote Sadly, only three new songs and two remixes, but I must say, I didn't expect this to be as good as it is. All the new songs are just as good as anything on Currents, and possibly even better. The remixes are also great and give us a nice and different take on the original versions. favorite: Taxi's Here || least favorite: the remixes Quote A very groovy and well composed and produced record, and Amber's vocals are very pleasant. It works perfectly as an EP cause I don't see it work as well as a full-length. I get some major Drake vibes, but it feels much more authentic and genuine, and simply better and more enjoyable. favorite: S P A C E || least favorite: Journey Into the Unknown Quote Ugh, I just really love dark and aggressive industrial music like this, and this EP executes it quite perfectly. favorite: Tainted Empire, Tactical Precision Disarray || least favorite: Vantablack Edited December 31, 2017 by theblackestday
Vilppu Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 was there not a 10th good EP to make it an even number The Currents extras were cute, List of People was my favourite but Taxi's Here snatched too. Listened to your fave from Amber's release and it's a bop.

Escape Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) In My Dreams was the only song I liked from ANOHNI's EP, didn't care for the rest. I'll check the Amber Mark EP out. Also at Perturbator, you should check Nocturne City EP out too If you haven't already. Edited December 13, 2017 by Avariko

Tom Vercetti Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Good looks on Pertubator & Amber Mark. I'd much prefer a new Tame album rather than the 3 song leftovers they gave us but eh.
