Better than Sucker but worse than her other releases imo
Vxspertine Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 (edited) I didn't think you turned on Masseduction THIS hard, wow I wasn't really disappointed by it since I didn't really know much of her until it came out, and I still do like some of it, but I can definitely see where you're coming from. Drag the others though Edited December 12, 2017 by Vxspertine
keerbyriri Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 I thought you'd enjoy empty seeing as you praise Dead Petz Perched for your redemption arc after you list Fever Ray and Wolf Alice though

Eeveelution Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) Wow absolutely none of those albums + worst songs appear on my list Edited December 13, 2017 by Eeveelution
World Eater Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 But at least we agree that Emotional is an abomination of a song. Younger Now was tragic but, as you've suggested, it's hard to call it a disappointment if you have no expectations in the first place
Mudkip Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 masslayduction is one of the best albums of 2017 but i guess that's just my opinion
Bubble Tea Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 (edited) Me coming in here to see THE ALBUM OF THE YEAR, Melodrama, listed as a disappointment?? Edited December 13, 2017 by Reinvention
Tom Vercetti Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Calvin's always been a singles act. Even through his past work so there was never much expectation ( at least from me) towards his album tracks. I'm still waiting on a project from Charli that's around True Romance's level. As for Lorde/Vincent,.. hmm at those least faves.

I would've thought that with this new direction he'd took, it'd work on a full-length project, but nah True Romance's definitely her best. Doubt she'll top it anytime soon.

ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 13, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 13, 2017 Ass Education is a great album. I think it's misunderstood and will be viewed better as time goes on. I do not think it is half baked, I think she wanted a disjointed album to reflect the state of her life.

fossora Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I'm not surprised that miss St. Vincent snatched that #1 at all...she won at the end oh and Fever Ray can choke
Zay Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Agree with melodrama but the song choices are switched sis (aside from perfect places) agree with masseducation too but song choices are severely switched (aside from happy birthday trashy)
worldwide angel Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Not you putting Paradisia instead of Paradise for N1A Utopia and her legendary status
Zay Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I liked N1A (in fact some of the songs are my most streamed this year ) but it was definitely 10 steps down from VV EP
Invisibility Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Not you listing Put This Song in The Louvre as a worst of, SOTY right after Losss You really went IN on Masseduction though, leaving ha flat and assless
Wondervisions Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 Omg are we not the same person? I thot I was the only one who disliked the Lorde and St. Vincent’s albums ? even though Messeduction grew a bit in my, Melodrama (along with DAMN.) are some of the most overrated albums ever. Sorry not sorry.
Alldeezy Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I agree with Calvin, I have loved EVERY album of his, this year was a mess...i guess because it was all urban and its my least favourite genre.

Glassmouth Posted December 13, 2017 Posted December 13, 2017 I wouldn't call Melodrama or Masseduction disappointments per se but the rest were not really my thing, I agree with you on those
