SLIME Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 forgot it was that time of year to start getting embarrassed about my writing skills all over again!!!!! crew is just >>> but ya wouldn't say goldlink himself has all that much to do with it. one of these songs is MUCH higher on mine but is all I can say 4 now... gonna put what I don't know on the peep playlist
World Eater Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 The fact that Humanz was 20/26/40 and I don't remember a single song from iT Had to refresh my memory but Strobelite sounds cute. Acting is probably my favorite from this batch though
Bubble Tea Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Katheryn SNAPPED on "Bon AppeTIT" tbh! I am OBSESSED with your graphics though. Too damn cute.
moonlight. Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 i saw HyunA & WJSN & i knew i had to check it out
Tom Vercetti Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Strobelite was one of my instant favorites due to how ear catchy it is. Crew is definitely one of Goldlink's best songs. Wish it was a hit. BA wasn't exactly the KT pick I was looking for but it does have great production.
Eeveelution Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 bon appetit 100 places too low I forgot about Nostalgia, it's good, NAO serves nothing but quality.
smholiv Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 babyface, me4u was actually unaware that there was a NAO song but i should check it out. more '80s? sounds great already

Playa Playa Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Me4U is soooo good I like your Bon Appétit write-up! It applies to Swish Siwsh for me

Lazuli Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Quote Sandy (Alex G) - Bobby Broken Social Scene - Halfway Home Father John Misty - Birdie Good stuff here Funny your list starts at 101 nn but Boner Petit is the best single off Witless Tuttifrutti
Allstar Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Interested to see where Beyoncé's feature with Ed Sheeran is landing.
Maleficent Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Lip & Hip is better than Babe (sorry levi), so it should make the official list
smholiv Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 i'm going to assume that Move is still to appear
TheWayWeWere Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 omg, nice to see Kiesza - Dearly Beloved making some list amazing song and message Bon Appetit is major bop

bluth Posted December 12, 2017 Author Posted December 12, 2017 90 - 81 90 MISTAKES TOVE STYRKE kinda concealing my disappointment with the two songs she released this year considering she managed to end the patriarchy and rockism in one fell swoop last time, but this is the better of the two. also promo for the better tove 89 BLACK RAINBOWS CUT COPY cut copy always manage to come thru with that one bop or so per album and this might be it but tbh i don't remember that much about the album 88 BELONG TO MYSELF BLUE HAWAII kinda dreamy/airy/floaty/strangely alluring pop 87 ROMANCE PIXX come thru retro synthpop 86 SUMMER BUMMER LANA DEL REY lana's a lot more enjoyable when she shows glimmers of self-awareness/irony. lana delivering "don't be a bummer" in her usual tone makes this more enjoyable than what it should be 85 WISH I DIDN'T MISS YOU FEIST i wish i didn't feel so ambivalent about this album. but this is a part of the album where the sparseness really works, with the emotion piercing through the cracks 84 HAVE FUN TONIGHT FISCHERSPOONER close your eyes. you're in a gay club. 83 INTERWEB POPPY there were probably better songs on the album but this stuck out to me more from having spent more time with it, but it combines vapid computerised futurism with ironic vapid pop well 82 BODAK YELLOW CARDI B i'm still not entirely sold on the vocals but, like, no one can deny how colossal that hook is 81 WATER ME LIZZO a high-key bop linkz Spoiler
jose168 Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 Mistakes was very very cute Cut Copy disappointed this year, and ive liked every other album of theirs Groupie Love is the superior Lana A$AP track! I didnt really get into feist like most did this year. Pleasure is a bop tho Bodak for sheer magnitude needs a mention in everyones list I dont remember the new lizzo lemme listen
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 WOW how COULD you pick Mistakes over the heavenly Say My Name? The Cut Copy and Blue Hawaii picks are... interesting, but not the worst ones. Romance Not my fave either but really good. Have Fun Tonight would be SO ME if I were in my trashy slutty era from 2014-early 2016 but now I'm a classy bitch. Bodak Yellow is good. Water Me is also good but it's so cheesy... Interesting Lana and Feist picks.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 12, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 12, 2017 WoW @ me knowing all the songs here. So proud of myself!
