Eeveelution Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Quote This is my favourite song from Melodrama and probably Lorde's career highlight along with Ribs and Buzzcut Season. Love this tea. Nice songs top 10 so far. Go Ahead is very underrated. Roll With Me is a 10..

artangels Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) Okay snatch me Kelela! I've been waiting for her album for so long and when I first heard this song I immediately came back to it after my first listening of TMA. There is nothing to hate about it. The looped wavy synth throughout the song makes it super special and and atmospheric but at the same time very euphoric and makes you wanna dance. My favourite part of this song is probably he outro this sudden loop change Academy award. Spoiler This year this was my first Ariel Pink experiance. I always wanted to listen to him but I didn't really had time or I would forget about him. How bad because DTBJ snatched me but let's talk about this song. It's so ****ing iconic. It's so good so funny and literally how I imagined his music to be. I'm not afraid to say that this is one of the greatest songs of ALL TIME. Merry Christmas everyone! fhjifgjhidjifgidjsifgjidfjgisdfgko Spoiler Hands down. This is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Not afraid to say that at this moment this is my favourite Bjork song and we all know how huge her discography is. The thing is that this sounds so different from her previous work and the way it's constructed and written is just so magical. This is my jam and it somehow became my personal motto to trust my self no matter what. Thank you Bjork for this amazing gem, you really did that! Spoiler . Can't wait for the breakdowns. THIS IS THE BAWP WE DESERVE. Since I first heard it from the live snippet I was praying for this to be on the album. Guess what IT IS. Wheew I was so happy to hear it for the first time and I was not dissapointed. The great instrumental and Karin's clipping annoying vocals that I absolutely adore just did that! Some people say it just sounds like Shaken-Up versions of Shaking The Habitual and it's kinda true but so what? It's so ****ing good. The rhytmical beat, the reversed sample of bells that vocal delivery AHH MY ****ING FAVE. I love how ironic and bad it sounds but so ****ing good at the same time. I just can't help myself when I hear it. I L O V E T H I S S O N G and I can't wait to hear Karin performing it live. btw told ya Spoiler Edited December 18, 2017 by artangels

artangels Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 (edited) Melodrama is for sure better than Lorde's debut album. She served some great bops but is it that good like everyone claims? This album is very solid and very good in terms of pop music BUT I don't think it deserves so much praising especially for lyrics like 'She thinks you love the beach, you're such a damn liar' I mean imagine how Taylor would be dragged for something like this. I think it's kinda weird that anything Lorde put outs and does is always so praised when it's not always the tea. Melodrama is a great record one of my favourite and her best record but I just had to say this. Highlight: already mentioned Homemade Dynamite and Sober 8.5/10 Spoiler I actually spilled some tea about this album today in best songs update. This is the beggining of my adventure With Ariel Pink and I already got recommendations from you what should I listen next and I'm glad to hear them. I will definitely listen more of his work because this album was just so interesting! It's really hard to explain - psychodellic lo-fi rock or something? I can't read suddenly I don't know. But for sure it's my favourite album by him by now. Highlight: already mentioned Santa's In The Closet and Revenge Of The Iceman 9/10 Spoiler I wish I could speak more about it in terms of lyrics and problematic of this album but I'm not going to act like I know something about it. Really great album when it comes to production one of the best I've ever heard tbh. Again this is my first time listening to Kendrick. To be honest this whole rate is full of new artist and I didn't really listen to their previous work so I may catch up later. He really snatched me tho I didn't expect to like his music I always thought he was so overrated. Highlight: already mentioned ELEMENT. and DNA. 9/10 Spoiler There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation. Highlight: already mentioned Delicate and I Did Something Bad 8.5/10 Spoiler It's Charli baby 2017 is the year I restanned Charli XCX yeah for me because it was the best decision I've made. Miss XCX delivered her best work (right after True Romance) and I'm afraid to say she won't top it soon since Pop 2 was just ok. I stanned hard for PC music when this mixtape came out and I was in love with it claiming it's the next level pop music. Now when I'm more on the side of OPCMH I can say that I still like it maybe because the PC music influence is not that hard and annoying. The only thing about this mixtape that bothers me is ILY2 and Babygirl which should be replaced with one of her unreleased tracks, how dare you Charli. I love this bitch and Pop 2 is slowly growing on me but I don't think it's better than this career highlight full of bops. Even the mid tempo tracks are so good I absolutely love them. Whenever I listen to ha I see flashbacks to very specific and good moments of 2017 - there's nothing better than good memories with songs you love. Charli good luck and don't **** it up! Highlight: already mentioned Roll With Me and White Roses Objectively I would give this 7/10 but as a stan and someone who replayed this mixtape to death it's 9/10, sue me Spoiler Edited December 18, 2017 by artangels
