Navyofbadgals Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 Best Songs of 2017: #70-61 rihcap Spoiler #100 Migos, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B - Motorsport #99 Kendrick Lamar - BLOOD. #98 H.E.R. - 2 #97 Run The Jewels - Report To The Shareholders / Kill Your Masters #96 Calvin Harris ft. Future & Khalid - Rollin' #95 Big Sean - Halfway off the Balcony #94 Future ft. Rihanna - Selfish #93 Katy Perry ft. Migos - Bon Appètit #92 Adrijana - Amare #91 Harry Styles - Ever Since New York #90 SZA feat. James Fauntleroy - Wavy (interlude) #89 Demi Lovato - Ruin The Friendship #88 Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe #87 Kelly Clarkson - Didn't I #86 Rina Sawayama feat. Shamir - Tunnel Vision #85 Lana Del Rey - Change #84 Dua Lipa - Begging #83 Tyler The Creator - 911/Mr. Lonely #82 Fifth Harmony - Deliver #81 Selena Gomez - Bad Liar #80 Rita Ora - Anywhere #79 Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me #78 Dua Lipa - Golden Slumbers (acoustic) #77 St. Vincent - Slow Disco #76 Katy Perry - Pendulum #75 Lana Del Rey - Coachella-Woodstock in My Mind #74 Jamala & DakhaBrakha - Zamanyly (morphom version) #73 Amandla Stenberg - Let My Baby Stay #72 Taylor Swift - Dancing With Our Hands Tied #71 Loreen - '71 Charger #70 Camila Cabello feat. Young Thug - Havana Ahh a bop. I actually didn't want to get into Camilas material, but this one was just too good and I said it from moment one whew. OMG was also a decent track, but this one surpassed it. Am very happy it actually smashed (with lots of help, but still). I would put Havana higher if it wasn't just a better and updated version of Same Old Love.. but still it deserves its place on here, even if it's not the most original song. #69 N*E*R*D feat. Rihanna - Lemon I still rihmember the first time I heard this. I thought: what the flipping f is this trash? But lo and behold the grower of the year. Rihanna completely makes this track with an amazing rap verse. Pharrell does decently too, but Rihanna is undeniably the star of the show here. I've definitely warmed up to this one, as it's just a smart bop. I like the intro to Rihanna's part, LOVE Rih's part.. and I feel like the song ends smart with a supposed end, only to come back for 30 more seconds. Sidenote: but I really enjoyed NERDs album and it might just appear on my list next year ki. #68 Dua Lipa - Thinking 'Bout You One of my favorites of the album. It showcases her vocals the best. #67 Loreen - Ocean Away With the help of Fred Ball (who also helped on LOTB), Ocean Away is the best track of Loreen's EP NUDE. I actually quite enjoyed the whole EP, though Ocean Away sticked with me the most. It's a beautiful and emotional track, perhaps the only track of the EP that could fit on both RIDE and HEAL. It's a beautiful song truly, ugh ahh my ****ing fave. Not the last you'll see of her on this list x. #66 SZA feat. Isaiah Rashad - Pretty Little Birds And thus, I present to you the best track on CTRL. It rihminds me the most of her EP 'Z'. It's much better and more interesting than most of the tracks on the album, and deserved to be SZA's breakout track. Didn't really happen, but eaux well. #65 The XX - Say Something Loving Sadly, I totally forgot about The XX when making my album list. Here they are though, and they still have one more appearance to make. This is just a beautiful track. #64 Tove Lo - dont ask dont tell A standout track on Blue Lips. dont ask dont tell is perhaps the most emotional track on Blue Lips. It starts out calmer than all tracks on Blue Lips, and its final chorus adds a bit more punch, but I liked that this stayed calmer than the Blue Lips tracks, mostly cause all of them are quite production-heavy for a Tove Lo album, so this was a nice change of pace. #63 Tove Lo - bitches And then we have bitches. ****ing sexy and I love the guitar in this. Really loved this one ever since hearing it in Lady Wood Phase I. The live version that was recorded for Spotify is also amazing. #62 Jessie Ware - Midnight A divine intro with interesting instrumental paired with Jessie singing in a high note. I wish the track stayed like the intro all the time, because whilst I like the chorus, the verses are so much, SO MUCH better. #61 Björk feat. Arca - Blissing Me It's almost 2018 and I have yet to get into Björk. This track is prolly the only Björk track I listened to multiple times. It's truly beautiful, with harp and all. It's a very accessible ballad, where Björk sounds innocence on a love song like no other. Perhaps the best part of the track that her vocals are extremely well-used here, which is one of the things that stop me from getting into other material of her. Blissing Me is not heldback, but it's Björk giving the listener a ride through a peaceful world. And with that, I will see you guys back in 2018, and ofc a Happy New Year already

Kiss It Better Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Havana, Lemon, TBY, Pretty Little Birds, bitches oh yess these bops
lightstheyblindme Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 I hate Bjork and I've never heard a Bjork song I liked
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 31, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 31, 2017 yes to everything in the last update except bjork
lhdang2000 Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 As much as I hate Camila, Havana is such a catchy track that I can't stop myself listening to it. Thinking 'Bout You is one of Dua's strongest tracks.
Bloomers Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Ahh a bop. I actually didn't want to get into Camilas material, but this one was just too good and I said it from moment one whew. I felt pretty much exactly the same way. Ireally had no interest in her stuff and I heard Havana one day and kind of loved it. It's a good song. The XX, Dua, Jessie, and Bjork
volition Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 A great update whew Lemon, the best Blue Lips highlights AND Blissing Me?

Isaiah Rashad - Pretty Little Birds #65 The xx - Say Something Loving #64 Tove Lo - dont ask dont tell #63 Tove Lo - bitches #62 Jessie Ware - Midnight #61 Björk, Arca - Blissing Me #60 Demi Lovato - You Don't Do It For Me Anymore I love shamelessly singing along with this one when no one is watching, whew. I was a bit scared this would turn out à la Stone Cold, but it's honestly great and a good representation of the album. #59 Demi Lovato - Concentrate And with two Demetria songs out, I can confirm that this is ms. Demetria's highest peaking entrih. This mid-tempo, sexy song immediately became one of my favorites of the album, and I don't know why tbh. Whilst the album has many more obvious standouts, Concentrate just sticked to me more and can be fitted in any playlist. I like the usage of vocal effects, very effective. #58 Kendrick Lamar - ELEMENT. Truth be told, this song is so amazing solely for the 'If I got slap a ***** as...'' so on. The verses aren't as hardhitting or fun as other tracks on the albums, but it's still a great standout on the album. #57 Aly & AJ - Take Me an 80s inpired synthpop bop, Take Me doesn't do a lot to impress, yet still impresses. It's way different than their other material, but still fits them incredibly well. Am definitely on the lookout for more music of these 2, I also really enjoyed their EP. #56 Allie X - Paper Love Pop perfection, ahh Carly Rae is shaking xoxo. This one is a bop and my favorite of COLLXTION II. The video is a mess, especially considering I envisioned something entirely different, so that's a shame. But this one issa bop. #55 Selena Gomez feat. Gucci Mane - Fetish DESERVED BETTER, DESERVED TO SMASH. Gucci Mane's verse is wack, but the song is a great follow-up to Bad Liar. It still manages to experiment within Selena's sound, and while Selena isn't really known for her vocals, I feel like they are very well utilized here. It's a shame she followed this one up with Wolves, which is rather, safe. Still this one is an amazing track, and the best Selena Gomez track of the year, and that is the tea. #54 Halsey - Walls Could Talk One of the two standouts on HFK. This deserved to be an hour long, but its total isn't even 2 minutes long. Perhaps the most impressive thing of the song, is that the first time I listened to this, I didn't even notice it was that short. #53 Kacy Hill - Like A Woman Best song of her debut album. Her vocals are at its best here, the production works well, but doesn't overpower her. Like A Woman is a unique love song that works well for Kacy. Also little funfact, DJ Mustard produced this song, but his 'iconic' tag of Mustard on the beat ho was purposely left out. #52 Jana Burčeska - Dance Alone Ugh pop perfection ahh. Macedonia doesn't really impress me much with their entrihs usually, but this one is different. Dance Alone quickly became a fan-favorite, and deservingly so. It's a more-than-enjoyable pop song. It was done extremely wrong by all of Europe, with it placing at #15 (of 17 songs) in the Semi-Final, and to qualify for the final, you had to reach top 10. Still a bop though. #51 Kimbra - Everybody Knows Perhaps the first song by Kimbra which I like, really LOVED. I am super pumped for Primal Heart and if it goes in the same direction as the singles, then it'll undoubtedly be her best album sorrynotsorry xo. Everybody Knows is a clever way to rebrand yourself, and as a song is just amazing. And with that, the lower half of my top 100, is finished. xo

theblackestday Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Whew at Demi having a 1-2 punch, I'm glad the superior song Concentrate won. One of my faves from the album too You spilled the tea in that Fetish writeup. Deserved to smash? ✔️ Excellent song despite a wack verse from Gucci? ✔️ Wolves being a huge disappointment after her two previous bops? ✔️ The best Selena Gomez track of the year? Debatable Element obviously is that bop
ATRL Moderator Samson Posted January 1, 2018 ATRL Moderator Posted January 1, 2018 ok yeah i agree with element. being on this list. it is a gr8 song. esp those lyrics
