Maddox Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 I couldn't get past the first few tracks of kelly's album Maybe i'll check it out some other time SZA, Demi, Rina and Lana
Mark Rih Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Wavy is a great interlude indeed RTF is a standout on TMYLM Change and Beggin are good even if they’re not between my faves from respective albums Deliver? Really? Wow... clearly the best song on 5H! Love the throwback vibe, such a bop and yes the acclaimed bop BL So yeah, another great set
Playa Playa Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 MoL has better But Didn't I is still a song! Great set of songs. Def 80-ish material but I've still bopped to most of them quite a few times.
soml Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Ruin The Friendship, Change, Begging good album tracks
Kiss It Better Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Wavy deserves to be a full song Ruin The Friendship & Deliver
Tom Vercetti Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Quote Tyler The Creator & Others - 911/Mr. Lonely A Collab. Wavy is kinda random but I like it. Wish it was longer.
Lazuli Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Not the interlude Didn't I, Ruin the Friendship, Bad Liar, Deliver Some of these are TOO low tho
theblackestday Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Ruin the Friendship, 911 / Mr. Lonely, Bad Liar You better stan Change, the underrated LFL highlight
KillingYourCareer Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Finally someone giving Begging some credit the single that got robbed.

World Eater Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Bad Liar and 911/Mr. Lonely Tunnel Vision was also gewd, Shamir could learn a thing or two from Rina and should stay away from this pseudo lo-fi mess he's doing rn Don't Kill My Vibe was not the tea

Navyofbadgals Posted December 30, 2017 Author Posted December 30, 2017 Best Songs of 2017: #80-71 rihcap Spoiler #100 Migos, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B - Motorsport #99 Kendrick Lamar - BLOOD. #98 H.E.R. - 2 #97 Run The Jewels - Report To The Shareholders / Kill Your Masters #96 Calvin Harris ft. Future & Khalid - Rollin' #95 Big Sean - Halfway off the Balcony #94 Future ft. Rihanna - Selfish #93 Katy Perry ft. Migos - Bon Appètit #92 Adrijana - Amare #91 Harry Styles - Ever Since New York #90 SZA feat. James Fauntleroy - Wavy (interlude) #89 Demi Lovato - Ruin The Friendship #88 Sigrid - Don't Kill My Vibe #87 Kelly Clarkson - Didn't I #86 Rina Sawayama feat. Shamir - Tunnel Vision #85 Lana Del Rey - Change #84 Dua Lipa - Begging #83 Tyler The Creator - 911/Mr. Lonely #82 Fifth Harmony - Deliver #81 Selena Gomez - Bad Liar #80 Rita Ora - Anywhere Rita was back this year with 3 singles, that admittedly, are all quite uninspiring. Your Song clearly follows up other hits like SOY and Cheap Thrills, and Lonely Together was just a throwaway EDM song. Anywhere is very similar to It Ain't Me and other similar songs, but nevertheless it's the best out of the 3, by far. The chorus is infectious, and extremely catchy. It's an amazing pop song, that admittedly has a rather awkward opening, but when it finds its footing, it's a great pop song. Very addictive. #79 Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me Once again, a nice song from the album. The title track isn't my favorite off the album, but this one is still great. #78 Dua Lipa - Golden Slumbers (acoustic) Ended the Beatles like that, ahh my ****ing fave. Golden Slumbers is less than 2 minutes long, but the time we have with Dua on here is beautiful. The calming instrumental along with Dua's vocals, that are well presented here. Golden Slumbers is the best song on her Live Acoustic EP, which btw, was a cute gal. #77 St. Vincent - Slow Disco Talent, I would've put this higher, but its plays were rather lacking compared to other songs, and out of the St. Vincent songs in my top 100, this one isn't as good as the others. Still, a masterpiece. #76 Katy Perry - Pendulum Sue me xo Pendulum is just a really lovely pop song, and its lyrics aren't as bad as the other songs on Witness. But besides it being a lovable track, it's also quite ironic. Witness saw quite a shift for Katy in terms of image and how it is perceived. Pendulum talks about 'not reinventing your wheel' and to 'just stay classic', which is rather iconic. Hopefully Katy learns from Pendulum, because I feel like we're in between two sides, the Katy we learnt from IKAG, and the Katy who perhaps wants to make more meaningful songs. Witness has found a rather unlucky combo of those two, and I personally would like Katy to listen to her advice and just make great pop bangers again. Simply because I don't see her pulling off the more political stuff. #75 Lana Del Rey - Coachella-Woodstock In My Mind Sue me again xo This is an amazing and underrated songs. It was quite funny seeing the backlash against this one, Coachella is a weird, heldback trap track that was written, not only around Coachella time, but also when tensions came between North Korea and USA. It's a dooming, yet relaxing trap track that deserves way more love. Thank you Lana Del Rey for this song and creating world peace with it xoxo #74 Jamala & DakhaBrakha - Zamanyly (Заманили) (Morphom Version) Translated to english; the song's title is 'Lured'. A fitting title. This late 2016 track is absolutely incredible from start to finish. It creates an atmosphere like no other, an undescribely dark and dystopian atmosphere. An ethno-chaos track, it takes its usage of original stuff, together with experimentation. Zamanyly is like no other track you'll hear this year, and it's definitely worth the listen. The fact that the song is in Ukranian doesn't bother at all (not like that would be a problem in the first place). #73 Amandla Stenberg - Let My Baby Stay When I was surfing YT once, this one popped up as recommended. I fell in love with it immediately. It's a beautiful and relaxing debut track by ms. Amandla. And imo, surpassed its original version by Mac DeMarco's song with ease. It's beautiful and not too intricate. Lovely track. #72 Taylor Swift - Dancing With Our Hands Tied The best album track on Reputation. DWOHT is the perfect combo of both Reputation and the 'old taylor'. It has much better lyricism than other tracks, yet it still has that 'reputation' sound to it, which most songs in the 2nd half of the album, kinda struggle on. DWOHT is amazing, and I love the buildup of the instrumental. DWOHT is well produced by Max Martin, Shellback, but perhaps it got most of its greatness from Oscar Holter, who has only produced and written one song on the album.. and surprisingly it's the 2nd best one on there. #71 - Loreen - '71 Charger Good pick as lead single. While Loreen spouts out some unrecognizable words here and there, it rihmains one of my favorite tracks of the year. It perhaps got dragged down because I love most album tracks more (and I wanted to give 71 charger this position.. cause well.. #71 ) It packs a lot more punch than other RIDE tracks, so it's the perfect choice as opener, it also misses the beauty that some tracks have. Ultimately landing at #71.
