I will be starting my top 100 songs of 2017, based on how good I think they are in combination with the amount of plays. #100 Migos, Nicki Minaj & Cardi B - Motorsport ahh we sure do love a guilty pleasure huh? Great verses from both Nicki and Cardi.. and the infamous britney line n Definitely like this one, but not enough to put it any higher. #99 Kendrick Lamar - BLOOD. Perhaps an odd choice, but BLOOD.'s instrumental along with Kendricks laidback storytelling, all combined with a sudden end. It's the perfect opening to Kendrick's album. #98 H.E.R. - 2 One of H.E.R.s more interesting track. It's pretty catchy, still has that laidback r&b vibe, but paired with a nice uptembo beat. #97 Run The Jewels - Report To The Shareholders/Kill Your Masters A song about overthrowing the ones you are expected to obey. RTJ's song sets an atmosphere with a nice instrumental, but most of all an agressive delivery of great lyrics. Would've put this one higher but it's probably my least played track in the top 100, in fact I would reckon with the 120 contenders I made for this list, that this was the least played of them all. Great song though. #96 Calvin Harris feat. Future & Khalid - Rollin' A good example how well funky sounds work, still. Not really a fan of Future's verse here, but Khalid delivers one of his better vocal performances. Nice funky track right here, but certainly not the best out of the Calvin Harris songs. #95 Big Sean - Halfway Off The Balcony The only Big Sean song to chart in my top 100. I actually quite enjoyed Big Seans album and would recommend it, even though he still is quite behind his peers in terms of quality, but he serves a bop now and then. I would've put Voices In My Head on here too, but the 'Stick The Plan' part kinda ruins it. It's a good song, that almost sounds like Sean is having suicidal thoughts, but it's an almost emotional telling of what is truly important in life. #94 Future feat. Rihanna - Selfish Actually played this one a LOT, yet it's still the first Rihanna entrih we will see in the top 100. It's a nice mellow track, but certainly isn't as strong as Lov7 Song, and it certainly isn't Future's best performance. Rihanna does her job nicely, but at the end of the day the track is really nice, but not enough to really impress me. #93 Katy Perry feat. Migos - Bon Appétit One of the biggest panned bombs of the year.. yet it's here n. I can't really help it, but BA is truly THE guilty pleasure of the year. It's a fun track and actually has a fun Migos verse. I totally get why this bombed, but I can't help but play this track. It's riddled with corny food references, and an accompanying weird music video. But I just don't care, a true bop. An iconic bomb, ahh #92 Adrijana - Amare This was my favorite track of Sweden's selection of songs for ESC. Statements was a cute gal, that had a great performance, but this one flopped even harder than Statements. It's such a bop and was completely done wrong by the Swedes. It's a great swedish pop song, with some electro hip hop vibes. #91 Harry Styles - Ever Since New York There's a sad atmosphere that has been created here. This is definitely one of the best cuts of the 1D boys. It feels nostalgic, moody, but is alltogether beautiful. It doesn't take itself too seriously (which was somewhat an issue with his album), but yet it still remains true to the album. A slow folk song that should get more recognition.
