Wondervisions Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Lust for Life was great, her first album with more highlights than low ones. Never listened to the Demi album but I'm seeing it's got great reception so I might give it a try. Melodrama was not really my thing but I'm glad people liked her album and the Mary album was actually great. Can't wait to see who will snatch the remaining spots
Green Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Melodrama getting the deserved praise I didn't have the chance to check Mary's last album/singles.
Ewan Chaos Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Damn I felt the exact same way about Melodrama/her debut. Great picks too, while I don't listen to Sober II much, I LOOOOVE Sober (I).
Staryu Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Melodrama is amazing and yas @ Mary, she's had a good year, she gonna get an Oscar nom for Mudbound too
Kevin2803 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Melodrama I didn't expect to like a Lorde album that much
jose168 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 yess melodrama, sober recently grew to be one of my favs
Dom Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Melodrama is so amazing, glad you found light sis. a masterpiece won.

TheWayWeWere Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) now the ones, who didn't make top 5 album #07 - Nelly Furtado, The Ride Quote "It's time to find your wings again and turn your face towards the sun" Nelly is one of the most underrated singers ever. She capable of everything, she did one of the best pop, folk pop, timba-pop, latin pop and indie pop albums before. And now, The Ride, - flawless body of work, where she shows how she still can serve some pop jams, some heartfelt ballads, beautiful songwriting and experiments. It's ****ing amazing and ****ing underrated.some favorites: Phoenix, Magic, Sticks and Stones, Paris Sun, Pipe Dreams single #07 - Lorde, Perfect Places Quote "I'm nineteen and I'm on fire" I already told, that this girl served flawless opening to Melodrama, but not only that - Perfect Places is low-key one of the best album endings. This euphoric pop anthem served everything we need in pop music. Pop perfection to me. Still can't believe how criminally underrated it is. album #06 - Paramore, After Laughter Quote "Of all the weapons you fight with, your silence is the most violent" I startet to get into Paramore after self-titled, so I was interested in their new work. Hard Times was...cute bop, but I didn't really feel that one, especially considering how radical was image/music direction change. I liked Told You So better, but it was still far away from what I expected from them. But, thank God Haylee, album turnts to be amazing. I love how they throw all previous baggage and made this new music chapter, I love pop influences and how they did this incredible 'happy with some sadness' emotion through the album. Amazing work, with some of their bests.some favorites: Fake Happy, Tell Me How, Rose-Colored Boy, Grudges, 26 single #06 - Jessie Ware, Selfish Love Quote "Dodging bullets, now ain't that romantic?" It's one of that songs, that hits you with first second. I love how magical this is, and how she follow song' storyline in music video. It's dark cold, but sexy bop at the same time. One of my favorite songs this year after all. rihcap Spoiler click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click Edited December 27, 2017 by TheWayWeWere

lhdang2000 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Perfect Places. I would've picked "What the **** are perfect places anyway?" as its most iconic line tho.
