TheWayWeWere Posted December 22, 2017 Author Posted December 22, 2017 welp, some big ass delayed update just before Top 10 opening album #13 - Charli XCX, Number 1 Angel Quote "Put ecstasy on my tongue and that’s all I’m tasting now" I loved Charli sis since True Romance, and even Sucker era growns on me throught the time. I didn't expect anything from this release, but she did it so good. I think mixtapes are really good form of music for Charli, since she can express her feelings, music prefrences, can collaborate with almost everyone and make these free-spirited records. Both N1A and recently released P2 slayed me.some favorites: Lipgloss, 3AM, Roll With Me, Drugs single #13 - Anne-Marie, Ciao Adios Quote "Hope you treat her better than you treated me" I never really cared about this girl' music before this bop. Alarm was cute jam, and I like to see her live, but only this song keep my attention. It was one of the few songs, that I listened trough spring/summer. I love lyrics, catchy production, visuals, live performances. Still have a hope on her, but Anne-Marie,sis...WHERE YOUR ****ING ALBUM? album #12 - Dua Lipa, Dua Lipa Quote "How can I get you all over my skin?" Good sis Dua caught my attention last year with few bops like Hotter Than Hell and Be the One thanks to ATRL Album' endless cancellation, meh singles after HTN/BTO kinda kept me off any expactations about it, but thank god, album ends up being good. It's not masterpiece or something, there's some fillers, some old tracks, but it mostly slays and actually BOPS. I love how she manages to do indie-pop/mainstream-pop/acoustic-pop mix in one record. I still think she's capable of more.some favorites: Genesis, Bad Together, Begging, Last Dance single #12 - Lorde, Green Light Quote "All those rumors, they have big teeth" Doesn't have too much to say about this song, it's slayed me back earlier this year from first second into it. Powerful anthem by such an little and heartfelt strong women. album #11 - Kehlani, SweetSexySavage Quote "Now I’m left with pain to get me high" I knew this girl, since all praise she got for her mixtapes, but they didn't really worked for me for some reason. But I still decided to give her a chance and listened this album when it came out. And it was right choice! One of my favorite discoverings this year. It's really touchy r&b record with some pop influences. Her voice' work is just something Her lyrics and how she "lives" in that record makes this record very relative and simple perfect to me. I still kinda mad at the fact, they're just throw that era after album release, it has so many potential some favorites: Undercover, Advice, Escape, Too Much single #11 - Jessie Ware, Alone Quote "So baby won't you wanna stay a little later?" Probably my least favorite single by Jessie this year, but it's so catchy and kinda honey-for-ears song. Absolutely wonderful work with music/voice/backvocals/arrangement. Tbh should've been one of her biggest hits, shame it flopped.
