lhdang2000 Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 7/10. Aw, I thought SNS would be in top 10 at least, but hey, #18 is a pretty good placement already. better than mine tbh. CTTR + CIWYW are cute.
potent Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 STBL and SNS are great! Bad at Love is better than Halsey's other songs I guess.
gagacasanova Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Bon Appétit, No Promises, What About Us, Gaga, SNS, Selena
MusicLoverDude Posted December 27, 2017 Author Posted December 27, 2017 (edited) MLD's Top 100 Songs: 10 - 6 10. Hey Violet - Hoodie This song was a last minute addition. After discovering this through @Ant on his countdown, I was instantly hooked. You know a song is THIS good to you when it can go from not being on the list to being in the Top 10. I had slept on Hey Violet because of Guys My Age being ok at best. But this song...wow...they truly SNAPPED here and the emotionally energetic chorus was just everything. This song actually gave me a reason to check them out again. This is a song I can listen to over and over again which is something the last two singles lacked. And I truly was not expecting the third time to be the charm with them, but it sure was. Final appearance of Hey Violet! 9. The Chainsmokers - Paris The Chainsmokers were probably the first artists this year to release a song I really liked. And the quality of this song has lasted throughout most of the year. To me, this song reminds me a lot of Taylor Swift's Style - which was my favorite song of 2015, and is one of the few songs I like that slays so much to me that songs that are similar to it or remind me of it tend to do well with me (I.e. Hello by Hedley, Perfect By One Direction, Cheyenne by Jason Derulo). So I guess that explains why I really like this song, because it gives the same feels that Style does. I can't really explain, but I always feel like I'm in a winter wonderland or a on top of the mall parking lot in my hoodie and sweats with someone or a group of friends. Regardless, this song slays. Final appearance by The Chainsmokers 8. Katy Perry f. Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish The Taylor-Katy feud may be stupid and childish, but it has fueled some good songs between Taylor and Katy. Swish Swish being Katy's response to Bad Blood was definitely going to grab people's attention. And I definitely think this song is better than Bad Blood - it's more anthemic and f the haters than Bad Blood - which embraces rivalry in a bad way. Katy should have timed this out WAY better than she did, or it actually could have been a decent hit I think. At least she gave us the best video of the era to go with it. Hope next era Katy gets her **** together again. Final appearances of Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj 7. Samantha Jade - Circles On the Water Samantha makes her first Top 10 appearance since 2014. This song was released around the same time as another song on this list (that hasn't appeared yet). So the one-two punch for me was instant slayage and while this song didn't pack as much of a punch, it still left a mark and is still being listened to, as it's one of the few songs this year to reach over 300 plays in my Last FM library - the mark needed to go Platinum in my library. This song has so much magic to it - so much positive energy that Samantha releases within her music. The production perfectly flows with Samantha's pure and refreshing vocals, and create the imagery of water trickling down a river at different speeds. This song is one of Samantha's best singles to date and her music video is also just as good - one of HER best videos to date too. Samantha continues to cement her status as one of the artists I stan for. Final appearance of Samantha Jade 6. Cascada - Run Cascada is another artist that I've been a fan/stan of where they can release anything and they almost always give me happiness and joy from it. This song is no exception. Similar to Paris, this song also reminded me of Style in terms of temp. I even mashed the two songs up together in RaveDj. (And Paris and Run for that matter). This song gives so much nostalgic and euphoric vibes. I feel like I low-key relate to it, because I feel like life can be hard at times and we just run into something heartfelt, light and just out of this world, like the song feels like. No matter what they do, Cascada always gives me a bright spot in my life. This song included. Only appearance by Cascada Only 5 songs left from here. Find out who came out on top in the next update. But first - Top 10 music videos AND another album spotlight Edited December 27, 2017 by MusicLoverDude

Dom Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 yasss at the classic that is swish swish, such a good tune. cascada tho, what an old legend.
lhdang2000 Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 A pretty underwhelming start for me... I like Swish Swish and a little bit of Paris, and that's it.
potent Posted December 27, 2017 Posted December 27, 2017 Hoodie is... fine I guess. The Chainsmokers have some cute guilty pleasures but Paris isn't one of them Idk, you have Cut to the Feeling here and I'm honestly not really sure what else? Oh LWYMMD...

MusicLoverDude Posted December 29, 2017 Author Posted December 29, 2017 (edited) MLD's Top 10 Music Videos 10. Samantha Jade - Circles On the Water 9. Selena Gomez - Bad Liar 8. Kesha - Learn To Let Go 7. Katy Perry f. Skip Marley - Chained To the Rhythm 6. Camila Cabello - Havana 5. Dua Lipa - New Rules 4. Demi Lovato - Tell Me You Love Me 3. Logic f. Alessia Cara & Khalid - 1-800-273-8255 2. Katy Perry f. Nicki Minaj - Swish Swish 1. Taylor Swift - Look What You Made Me Do This site hasn't been nice to me tonight with trying to get this update done so I'll just say this - music videos were better this year all around - from the smaller artists like Samantha, to the big budget people like Katy and Taylor. Most people put in the effort at some point or another in their eras. And NO ONE is topping Taylor this year with that video - she delivered everything and more with Look What You Made Me Do. lhdang2000 Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 LWYMMD's MV is TMYLM's MV is Bad Liar + CTTR + 1800 + Havana.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 that videos list Bad Liar is probably my favorite among them LWYMMD, TMYLM, New Rules, CTTR and LTLG are pretty amazing too
Dom Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 new rules is the best video this year, cause it's so rare to see a video that has that much replay value. Taylor's video is so huge budget, truly an effort, and she spend that money well, kween. Love Swish Swish video, shame everyone hates it.
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 29, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 29, 2017 Yes, Taylor's video is amazing
potent Posted December 29, 2017 Posted December 29, 2017 Well the LWYMMD video is definitely one of the best this year I'll give you that.
