I didn't listen to Phoenix's album but it's on my list. Haim disappointed me this year but their lead single is somehow swimming around in my head these days so maybe I'll give them a chance too.

Ruin the Friendship is okay, that's a good placement for it I think :keir:

You seem to have a lot of things on your to-listen list, how are you gonna complete it all :dies:

No Shape topping the last set :clap3:

IIRC Sampha's Blood On Me was a single from 2016.

Masseduction & Witness are upper tier.

Oops I'm a flop :skull: But I didn't really treat it as a single so I guess it counts :cm:

This is true, but mainly cause I don't listen to albums very often and most of the ones I heard recently weren't from this year lol

The xx seems like the most interesting one from this set but even then they kinda got boring after On Hold to me.

Albums #10-06:
Listened to MASSEDUCTION snippets 2 days ago because someone I watch reacted to the album and some

songs sounded nice, while others weren't for me. Still heavily debating whether I should bother downloading.
After Laughter :alexz: We love a band that can make great music no matter what genre, vibe, etc.

Mess girl :skull: Somersault was nice though :clap3: And yes @ Pleasure, No Shape, MASSEDUCTION, I C U and american dream :jonny:

Need to listen to Los Campesinos! a bit more but I remember liking No Blues :flower: Also, I recently found out that Tom Bromley from LC! also plays on Perfume Genius' live band

80. Say It First - Sam Smith

The only song that doesn't put me to sleep on that album.

79. Nobody Else Will Be There - The National

An album OPENER.

78. Don't Say You Love Me - Fifth Harmony

Those vocals tho!!!

77. Pretty Things - Big Thief

76. Mercury - Sufjan Stevens, Bryce Dessner, Nico Muhly and James McAlister

75. Electric Blue - Arcade Fire

Usually Regine led songs are the best... Well this is still great but falls very far from their usual standards.

74. A Slow, Slow Death - Los Campesinos!

73. The Wind - Feist

A slow burner for me. I didn't really get into the song till I saw her live and it just HIT me.

72. That's All For Now - Beach Fossils

71. Fior di Latte - Phoenix

What a bop... for a song about mozzarella...

70. Roulette - Katy Perry

This is actually a good song wow. But I do not trust her to release it as a single cuz the video is SURE to ruin everything.

69. Relief Next To Me - MUNA

Wow they turned this ok-ish Tegan and Sara song into a BOP.

68. Dancing With Our Hands Tied - Taylor Swift

That drum-and-bass influence!

67. Hologram - The Horrors

66. Mountaineers (feat. John Grant) - Susanne Sundfør

This was kind of a single I think... but whatever. The first half is a snoozefest but the latter half makes it all worth it!

65. Watching Him Fade Away - Mac DeMarco

Heartbreaking.

64. Finish What We Started - Jessie Ware

Takes me to the heavens.

63. Sauced Up - Fifth Harmony

Should've been a really dumb idea of a song but it's a BOP. Normani's adlibs >>>

62. Miami Still - Tegan and Sara

61. Right Now - HAIM

I think I'm the only one who like this? I like how noisy it gets and it's a lil experimental which is great.

Don't mention that name it gives me herpes

Poor cycles. I like how chill of a bop it is!

Is Remmy trying to get into some indie stuff? :oh: You should just give it a try for the sake of it :oh:

I've never listened to anything else from LC! and tbh I don't think I'm that interested in their entire discography :dies: But who knows! And YES! I think I found out when I was watching his KEXP performance or something.

Drag me for Hey Hey Hey, but Roulette sis? Even most people on ATRL thinks it's one of the best songs on Witless! Try again!

Well it is very pop so it should work for you :keir: And you stan for Jack Antonoff so why not listen to his 3rd best album of 2017? :cm:

60. The Weather - Pond

59. Let 'Em Talk (feat. Eagles of Death Metal) - Kesha

A testament to Kesha's ability to have fun even without the electronics and partying.

58. Tsunami - Katy Perry

The best song on Witless. I just love how the song quietly builds in the last chorus.

57. Test Me - The xx

Painfully underrated. That outro >>>

56. Didn't I - Kelly Clarkson

55. Writer In the Dark - Lorde

If you didn't get chills during the chorus... you're a horrible human being.

54. Finding You - Kesha

53. Sexy Dirty Love - Demi Lovato

A bit generic according to some, but it's a huge bop.

52. Sober - Lorde

Another HUGE bop.

51. Dangerous - The xx

The xx serving us a bop too??

50. When the World Was at War We Kept Dancing - Lana Del Rey

49. Edge of the World, Pt. 2 - Pond

The whole "and when the ... gets you down" part is BOMB.

48. Thinking About You - Jessie Ware

This song is the aural equivalence of crystal clear diamonds or something.

47. Losss - Björk

I just love how extra the production is here. It's not extra in a "Sue Me" kinda way, but in a very good way.

46. Heat - Kelly Clarkson

DESERVES TO BE THE NEXT SINGLE, NOT MEDICINE.

45. We Don't Deserve Love - Arcade Fire

Thank god for this song to close the album or else the album would've been even more of a disaster. An AF discography highlight.

44. Idle Worship - Paramore

43. New Year's Day - Taylor Swift

An album CLOSER. A little too simple for some, but that's the whole beauty of it. Can't get enough of it.

42. Replica - The xx

41. Life to Come - The Killers
