ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 17, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 17, 2017 I'll play some of these
Lazuli Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Hot Thoughts Tinseltown is great too! A standout
MP2K Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Your Hot Thoughts sum. was spot on. It was UP THERE at some point. I forgot to listen to my baby Kimbra.
ATRL Moderator madonnas Posted December 18, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2017 Props to listening to Beck's album when nobody else did. Hot Thoughts and Everybody Knows are gr8.
moonlight. Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 dean & how long DEAN truly is the king of r&b, glad you listen to him. & the way charlie BLEW out his vocals in How Long gave me life, grow them vocal nodules
TheWayWeWere Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 that Kimra song slays tbh I love some Beck music, but this year releases didn't really works for me
SLIME Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Yo apologies for ghosting but too much goodness as expected. Kill Jill, Hot Thoughts, Hug of Thunder, Feel It Out >>> Will be here for the next one
Tom Vercetti Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 Next update within the next hour or two. This set is pretty fun.
ATRL Moderator Tsareena Posted December 18, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2017 yay Kimbra. Everybody knows is so good and the last song I liked from her was Settle Down
Zay Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Kimbra, Spoon, and Big Boi tracks I heard so far Really like the Kimbra and Spoon tracks, Kill Jill was cute for a bit though
Lucas32 Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Beck, Phoenix, Spoon, Real Estate and Destroyer
Tom Vercetti Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 125. Sorority Noise - No Halo (Emo/Indie Rock) Spoiler Slightly emotional with a kicking chorus to boot. 124. The Body & Full Of Hell - Didn't The Night End (Power Electronics/Sludge Metal) Spoiler A combination of sludge and powerviolence surprisingly mixes well. I like the neat trap element that's incorporated in this scream fest. This certainly is not for everyone. 123. Kesha ft Eagles Of Death Metal - Let Em Talk (Pop) Spoiler When opposites attract. This track has a lot of edge and charm along with that "**** the haters" message. This collaboration surprisingly worked and its high energy appeals to me. 122. Converge - A Single Tear (Metalcore) Spoiler This track is about Jacob Bannon's new father lifestyle and how that gave him a new perspective on life. A kick ass opener for The Dusk In Us. 121. Nadia Reid - Richard (Contemporary Folk) Spoiler She has a lovely voice and Richard has that Kurt Vile style that I use. 120. Joywave - Content (Indietronica) Spoiler The buildups to those explosive moments are entertaining, and albeit on the dramatic side, still a good thing. 119. Mount Kimbie ft Micachu - Marilyn (Garage/Art Pop) Spoiler I appreciate Blue Train but Marilyn fits more into vocal approach that i'm looking for from them. 118. Sabrina Claudio - Belong To You (R&B) Spoiler Her breathy vocals are pretty appealing and sit well with the sensual trap production. and the chorus is silky smooth . 117. John Maus - Touchdown (Hypnagogic/Synth Pop) Spoiler One of the most catchy songs about football.
Tom Vercetti Posted December 18, 2017 Author Posted December 18, 2017 116. Manchester Orchestra - The Grocery (Indie Rock) Spoiler The intro transition gets right into business and The Grocery combines both the calm & aggressive aspects that Manchester possesses. The subject matter revolves around faith and resistance of suicide. 115. IDK - Black Sheep, White Dove (Hip Hop) Spoiler This track is about his mother's passing and reflection on their not completely functional relationship beforehand. Black Sheep represents IDK, White Dove represents his mother. This could be hard-hitting/emotional for some. 114. Baths - Adam Copies (Glitch Pop) Spoiler Noisy pop done right. 113. Xiu Xiu - Forget (Art Pop) Spoiler The beginning is kind of minimalist but when the chorus comes in and those blasting synths occur then it's a whole new ball game. The way Jamie yells out forget add an uneasy yet engaging feeling. 112. Mac Demarco - Moonlight On The River (Indie/Folk pop) Spoiler Mac's longest song turned out to be my favorite, The way the song 2/3rd in changes into this wall of sound added a cool and "experimental" touch that makes it standout. 111. Milo - Magician (Suture) (Abstract Hip Hop) Spoiler Barely over 2 minutes, but Milo pulls off some adept tricks with the beat and wordplay.
Navyofbadgals Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Let Em Talk, grower and a bop Marilyn sounds nice Sabrina is nice, credits to @Mark Rih for introducing me to ha

theblackestday Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Wow @ both of us having Xiu Xiu in our updates today Forget is probably my fave on the album A Single Tear is a banger and I also loved Adam Copies and Content Should prob check out Mount Kimbre's and Sabrina's albums cause I see them get mentioned a lot.
Red Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Another "No Halo" mention! Manchester Orchestra's best song (or one of their top five)! CONVERGE!...even if it's not one of my absolute favorites from that album, but it still rules! Tommy knows how to bring the goods.
TheWayWeWere Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Let Em Talk making your list one of my favorites from R

I had to keep up with what's happening on the rock/metal scenes so glad to be of that service.
ATRL Moderator Unoriginal Posted December 18, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 18, 2017 Kesha is unsurprisngly the only one of these I've heard have been meaning to get into Mac for a while but I say that about a lot of artists

They're more representative of his style.
