SLIME Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Power is really really really good, wish she got more buzz this year too but happy for her Grammy nom. I ****ed with some Hakim songs too this year but I don't remember if that was one of them, eventually I'll check out the album though I didn't know anyone dragged Julie she had the much better Starbucks album this year between her and Feist imo
TheWayWeWere Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Vintage is cute jam, but I still think this girl is kinda overrated by atrl Opera House

moonlight. Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Vintage was a cute lil song, i prefer Paper Love more tho. & lemme check out all these songs, never heard any of them
That Bad Eartha Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Rapsody's career feels very Queen Latifah-esque. Doesn't focus on sex in her raps and releases some really great stuff, but mostly flies under the radar. Happy she is getting some awards recognition though.
Temporal Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 My friend keeps trying to get me to listen to Moonchild, I guess I'll have to do that Looks like you like kinda trippy stuff
theblackestday Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Everything Everything's album was meh, as you said. Cigarettes After Sex was cute but becomes monotonous and corny after awhile. Love Natural Blue and Vintage is okay, one of the more memorable songs from that Allie X album imo
ATRL Moderator Legend E Posted December 14, 2017 ATRL Moderator Posted December 14, 2017 I'll play some of these
K$Ellie Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Tsunami is one of the few good songs on Witness, wish it were higher Vintage is such a bop, definitely her best after Bitch

As long as she's focused and getting background acclaim and not making a fool out of herself like some others this year, then she'll be good. 44 minutes ago, Temporal said: My friend keeps trying to get me to listen to Moonchild, I guess I'll have to do that Looks like you like kinda trippy stuff A good idea. Tom Vercetti Posted December 14, 2017 Author Posted December 14, 2017 #170-#156 tomorrow. There's one song in the later updates that may be controversial. But I stand by it!
jose168 Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Power, Good shot and vintage Agreed on EE, i stan them down (saw em live a few weeks ago) but Fever dream was a let down, they consciously toned it down for whatever reason when the leads voice is so erratic it only shines in bright spontaneous production
Vilppu Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 ahh liked the actual good Witness released this year a lot Vintage was okay, among the better parts of that album for sure, and who the hell drags Julie? Also Cigarettes After Sex sounds better in theory than in reality for me.
Eeveelution Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 Julie is too low but I'll take it! I don't think she makes Starkbucks music tho. i actually liked the EE album but I never heard their debut so.

Same Ol' Mistakes Posted December 14, 2017 Posted December 14, 2017 I'm just seeing now the Tsunami praise and it is so unexpected from you tbh. It's a great song btw, one of the best on Witness
